- Before Kanye West's conversion to Christianity, he was simply a man in spiritual process, but it is clear by this story that he was also a man who's heart Jesus was after. Perhaps Christians can begin to meet the world around them where they are at in their faith journey. Instead of throwing rocks or avoiding, we engage and pray for them. Kanye West is a prime example of someone the Christian world had little regard for UNTIL he became a Christian. Yet even before his faith in Christ became what it is now, he was clearly a man on a journey, searching for truth, meaning, and God.

amen and amen... after 45 years in Christ, I still am in process and will be to my last breath...Paul's admonishing is "those who think they stand, consider lest they fall". The religious spirit condemns and criticizes process but true children of the Kingdom understand that we are ALL in process.

So true bro. Imagine what blogs would have been written about David in this day and age. It's sad when people think that it's spiritual maturity to eloquently point out faults in other people and ministries. What if realizing that we are all family is the answer, regardless of what we think and do? Because love covers and finds any way possible to bring life. Thanks for sharing this guys! The quote that Kanye uses "Jesus didn't come into this world to make bad people good..." is a Ravi Zachariah quote from early 1980's. Still...so good that he uses it. It's absolutely true. God bless Kanye.

This is the full quote and if we read Romans 6, 2 Corinthians 5:15 and many more we will realize that this means that we DIE to self, to sin, to our flesh, our own desires. But to live in the Spirit for Jesus, taking up our cross and following him. Please, I urge you in the name of Jesus. Be careful. Seek God in his word. Many deceiver will come in his name. Well said! I have been thinking about that for awhile. Don Potter mentioned it before that hit me. I can't remember it verbatim but he pretty much said, Is what we have here (inside the church) enough? Do we have enough of the anointing that it will spill out there? The anointing breaks the yoke. This is what the bible says. As a church, alot of times, we do not represent or have enough to give out because we are so limited in our belief system that it does not spill out to the streets. I respect Kanye West for what he does. It's not the norm but this is the kingdom of God and his ways are higher than ours. He uses broken vessels to reach the lost. Jesus said He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. You can slap me with verses all the long but if we do not understand grace and love than our words are ineffective. Following Christ and obeying his words will come after salvation and not before. So bring them in and then disciple them. Fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, let's stop scaring off the lost. You cannot apply the verses of following Christ to them because they do not understand them yet anyways. They need to know Christ as their savior (redeemer as well) first before learning that he is also our teacher, shepherd and so forth. Everything else will fall into place if we approach them this way. Love and grace guys and Im talking to myself too.
I've watched Fingers of God & Furious Love. And then I've come to discover another Christian Movie called American Gospel. It's not about which movie Is better written, but it's about which Christian Movie is talking about the GOSPEL & TRUTH. You can attract so many people with miracles, healing, etc. But is it a true miracle, is it true healing, and most of all is it THE TRUE GOSPEL THAT GOD WANTS HIS PEOPLE TO HEAR? Do the preachers in the movie teach the true gospel? I am just a random Christian & a movie junkie from a different part of the world that has nothing to do with supporting the American Gospel movie, but God led me to know Him more beyond His miracles & I really pray that the WP team & all the fan came to know WHO CHRIST TRULY IS. It's not about making a great movie. It's about IS IT TRULY A MOVIE ABOUT CHRIST. God bless. Love & prayers always.
