David Brown Automotive have beautifully remastered the Mini, and this version in particular being the 'Monte Carlo' and limited to just 25 cars is even more special.
This feels pretty overpriced for what you're actually getting. Why not just buy a professionally refurbed Cooper S from the 60s for a fraction of the price.
£100,000 is about right for a modern custom car that is built to that standards. It does not matter if it is a Porsche, BMW or Mini they will all cost about that sort of money.
Shmee I think you should get one of those cars, David Brown makes very special cars and they are so special! I'm obviously not telling you what to do, but it's just so awesome!
This is fantastic as it eliminates most issues with buying a classic car, maintenance etc. It incorporates a subtle modern aspect that brings with it luxury in an ever iconic automobile. I see it as a good investment.
Great to see this video, I sent you a link about them a few weeks back, guess you were probably aware of this new car anyway. I think you will probably buy one lol. The colour looks superb! And yes they do make people smile. cheers
In america we have a little company called minitec.. they swap modern honda 4cyl engines into a custom tube front end with custom fiberglass clamshell. left hand drive conversion, r comp tires, wildwood brakes. Back in the day mine had a mild setup with about 200bhp (165whp) b16 integra gsr engine and 5sp trans, LSD and weighed 1550lbs. AND most importantly cost 20k second hand or about 30 if you wanted it custom built to your spec.
That car is so cool, i really can understand why you want to buy it. Has a car lover, especially classics, I support you 100%!! And that is a huge investment, the car is going to be even more valuable in 20 or 30 years, or not even that long
I mean, if the body were hand rolled aluminum, the engine something special, and some other upgrades maybe I could see it. But this, this is just a well restored mini with some bolt on upgrades and a nice interior. Just not worth it.
Mini Remastered: this car is simply wonderful and deserves to be eternal.... If I were rich I would buy (at least) four units of this marvelous tribute to one of the most legendary cars in all times... 💘🚗
But if you're rich/famous/viewed by millions. Then you spend less than half that money on a standard classic mini to get it even better and more modern than this mini. Make it even more personal and unique with no Mini in the world as special as a famous person has owned it, then it'll be worth a whole lot more sentimentally and in value, and you can buy a ferrari 348 ontop of that, for about the same price, i know how i'd spend my money
But the people who are rich enough to drop 100k like pocket change dont want to take the time to make it their own. Those people generally dont do project cars. And if they really want something to be personal and unique, they throw more money at the manufacturer to try to get a 1 of 1. They want the car to be ready when they get it. Its called instant gratification
I'm completely in love with that thing. Beautiful quite frankly, although I couldn't justify the enormous price tag. Having said that though, you should definitely buy one! Right up your street
Im 16, and im looking to get a mini cooper for my first car when i turn 17, i have always loved the mini's ever since watching "the italian job" as a child, just wish me luck saving up :D!
Yes Shmee it really is a nice car , I would thought they would have put power seats in the car , but maybe no room , also the start/stop button i would have put maybe on the dash , it looks a little hard to get to where they have it, as for me the only thing i dont like is the bonnet straps . DB did a great job on the car , thanks for the review .
Would definitely be a sound investment. The bonnet straps are prone to moving about and damaging the paint work under them, sure that clear film wrap would prevent that.
mattia partesotti he's said how he's likely to wait for a special LT edition if he gets one at all to avoid the steep depreciation. Either that or a slightly used one.
The mini engine (A-series) did come with aircon in the austin 1300 car. We used to take the engines out of M.O.T failure austin's to make 1000cc mini's in to 1275's. Some mini customisers used to also use the austin aircon in the mini.
I agree it looks nice everywhere, but the price is insane. You can get an AC, built in touchscreen nav, brand new comfy seats, and more added to your mini for like 5k.
Shmee are you going to Supercar Sunday in Assen? Of any Dutch car event??! It's the closest country from where you live but you almost never visit it 😬🙃
We are not sure if we are going there. Planning wise it is not possible anymore. Best option is to come to Streetgasm in Amsterdam. I will be there for sure!
Shmee150 Oke thanks for letting me know!! I will definitely go to Streetgasm in Amsterdam since I also live very close to Amsterdam. And it's always awesome how you answer so many questions!
Just do it, Shmee.. this is a car to be used when peaceful, relaxing driving is saught-after, and I am sure that you, as any other human being, do need something this enjoyable for the warm summer evenings in the mountanous roads outside Monaco.
It is a custom car that is like a brand new car. Many people seem not to realize that if you buy any type of car that is built like that it is going to be costly.
Out of all of it, the rear lights are the worst part and are quite literally horrendous. I can live with most of the other details, it is a remastered car, but those rear lights remind me of the mods people used to do to these cars in the early 2000s in a feeble attempt to try and get their car featured in some sort of custom car mag.
100k mini it's a mini ! you could buy 3 full spec John Cooper works for that and have change I could spend 10k on my cooper s and have the ultimate Mini You could do this to yours shmee 👍🏁
Just wondering if it's possible to buy the parts like the interior dash ,custom exhaust, lights... etc independently? I'm really liking that dash and I'd like to install it on my 1998 mini .
I don't have news for you; it'll take a few days to get back to the UK, then a few days to be looked at, and then I've got to film something and put it out - so you're looking at 10 days if we're lucky, more likely a fair bit longer.
Can I ask which do you prefer and or is more fun, going through the roads such as the D2202, at full speed in something like the mini featured or in a performance car where reaching full speed does not occur as often but you have the sound and the initial acceleration?
It would be great to see more redesigned classics on your channel! If you can get your hands on them maybe you could do a Singer 911 or an Eagle Speedster next?
rear lights a bit of an afterthought that look awful,100,000 grand! best of luck.
Minis are so cool they are always a delight to see
I would rather have the MightyCarMods's VTEC Mini than this.
imagine this with the vtec :D
I'd rather have t005exy ;)
[MGT] dave_beastttt super gramps is the real deal😍
Pauvlychenko do you think mcm will end up turbocharging it?
idk, the VTEC engine didn't really let much space on the front of the mini.
I test drove this during Top Marques in Monaco. The David Brown mini was getting more looks and smiles than any other car on the road in Monaco!
That is because it is still a classic mini.
David Brown Automotive have beautifully remastered the Mini, and this version in particular being the 'Monte Carlo' and limited to just 25 cars is even more special.
Shmee150 Sam will be happy, its got a white square on the side
I'd have thought that would make him angry that it wasn't a circle! Convenient shape for a '150' though don't you think?
How about tuning your mini? putting air conditining and basically improving everything for about 20K-30K
Shmee150 this car should've been priced 25k max
didnt David Brown make aston Martin like the Aston Martin db5
Just loved the editing and the drone shots! Great work @benzenben!!
Very special Shmini edition, utterly, utterly amazing, thanks for sharing Shmee !
by the title is actually thought you might have bought one!
I might not be able to resist!
+Kal 1:Buddy you're not the only one.
Next video: I couldnt resist!
Shaggy Doo ffff
If you can find one
Loving the editing mate! Am sure it takes a lot of time and effort to do. We appreciate it!
I think you just made me fall in love with this Mini, it's absolutely gorgeous! Would love one as a city car one day
Only 25 Monte Carlo edition cars? I would be surprised if they even sell 10...
TheJochem444 I wouldn't it's like the eagle e type or the singer 911classics beautifully remastered
Toby White True but £100k...
I bet they sell everyone they make!
I am sure there are people out there who has nostalgia for these things and will buy them even for a bigger price tag.
nostalgia and money
what a bluetifull day!
You bet!
Crazy price, I've just finished a ground-up restoration including an electric conversion for 40K..!
This feels pretty overpriced for what you're actually getting. Why not just buy a professionally refurbed Cooper S from the 60s for a fraction of the price.
James M fully refurbished cooper S's can go for £50k plus, wouldn't say a fraction, but I'd agree with you and go for the classic
It's only overpriced if you don't 'get it'
@@Stu-Tubes
It's 50%, which is 1/2, which is a fraction.
£100,000 is about right for a modern custom car that is built to that standards. It does not matter if it is a Porsche, BMW or Mini they will all cost about that sort of money.
9:13 ahah, I think I was driving a tiny bit faster than you, an overtake seemed necessary :P
WorldSupercars Ça m'a fait tellement rire quand je t'ai vu le doubler ! 😂
Really love this motor, Tim. And this film showcased a cool direction your photography/filmography style is taking.
Good vid!
Thanks shmee ! That mini is something else. I think you enjoyed that.
i hate it. i'd rather have an original mini with some of my own personal touches. this car is just a bunch of pimp juice.
I also hate it.
Seems like something Tim Westwood would have done for Pimp My Ride.
The quality of your videos are really increasing, keep it up!
omg your videos are impeccable now, I think Ben's doing a great job! Doesn't get enough credit!
Shmee you really upped your video production. Looks good.
That COLOR fits perfect! Great Mini!
Shmee I think you should get one of those cars, David Brown makes very special cars and they are so special! I'm obviously not telling you what to do, but it's just so awesome!
A fool and his/her money are easily parted. Ffs £80k+ what a joke
Now there's an idea, buy one second-hand
Was not expecting that interior at all!! I was like 😳!!!
Editing was on point in this vid Shmee
This is fantastic as it eliminates most issues with buying a classic car, maintenance etc. It incorporates a subtle modern aspect that brings with it luxury in an ever iconic automobile. I see it as a good investment.
Tim! the editing is insane, such a pleasure to watch!
Fantastic vid shmee great edits
Great to see this video, I sent you a link about them a few weeks back, guess you were probably aware of this new car anyway. I think you will probably buy one lol. The colour looks superb! And yes they do make people smile.
cheers
Hey maybe you can trade that pointless key of yours for one of those Mini's.
I would rather build not buy !
It's crazy money
Rebuild the Past exactly mines same sort of interior better engine cost me 11k overall!
In america we have a little company called minitec.. they swap modern honda 4cyl engines into a custom tube front end with custom fiberglass clamshell. left hand drive conversion, r comp tires, wildwood brakes. AND most importantly cost 20k second hand or about 30 if you wanted it custom built to your spec.
Bar Gym exactly and that ain't some overpriced 100k for what is basically a new center console and some paint
fantastic to see a nice new old style mini, a real pocket rocket.
Nice work with the cinematic! You upped your game.
That car is so cool, i really can understand why you want to buy it. Has a car lover, especially classics, I support you 100%!!
And that is a huge investment, the car is going to be even more valuable in 20 or 30 years, or not even that long
the drone shots are incredible, also I wouldn't be surprised if a remastered beetle became a thing in a few years
You understand it, you love it, you need one! Go for it!
stepping up your editing tim! Love it
I would have liked to see what detail work was done on the engine and what engine management (if any) is on it for 80K
CONGRATS FOR 1 MILLION SUBS!!!!!!!!!!!
Broo this mini is crazy it has what some modern cars don't and i think i love it
These drone shots are amazing. Especially in this scenery 👌
The video is brilliant love the video work and the music and edit is brilliant
9:12 The Martini style livery and noise 😍
Beauty
That car was filming another video on worldsupercars UA-cam channel you can spot shmee in his video also😂
Mini? Awesome. Drone shots with Mini. Epic!
Great show. Love the min ❤️
I mean, if the body were hand rolled aluminum, the engine something special, and some other upgrades maybe I could see it. But this, this is just a well restored mini with some bolt on upgrades and a nice interior. Just not worth it.
It reminds me of the Eagle E-Type. Totally bespoke and handmade. Plus I'd dread to think the man hours put into something like this!!! Stunning!!!
And it would be like buying a brand new car as well.
smile from ear to ear.. tells the story!!
Mini Remastered: this car is simply wonderful and deserves to be eternal.... If I were rich I would buy (at least) four units of this marvelous tribute to one of the most legendary cars in all times... 💘🚗
Those ariel shots were amazing. So beautiful
Those drone shots are on the spot! Who ever filmed them did a great job !!
Nice drone footage. Good work
At 4:03 did you try to say Alec Isigonis? 😃😁
You cant go wrong with a classic mini its one of the best cars ever made
For sure; there's a charm to it, and just an amusement level that comes while driving it that nothing else touches.
you can when it costs £100000
George Bowyer Not if you're rich and money is not a problem for you..
But if you're rich/famous/viewed by millions. Then you spend less than half that money on a standard classic mini to get it even better and more modern than this mini. Cool, I love oldschool minis. Also cooper 😀
bro video edit is really good
best video ever, also 4:04 ignosis's?!😂
I'm completely in love with that thing. Beautiful quite frankly, although I couldn't justify the enormous price tag. Having said that though, you should definitely buy one! Right up your street
Im 16, and im looking to get a mini cooper for my first car when i turn 17, i have always loved the mini's ever since watching "the italian job" as a child, just wish me luck saving up :D!
Very nice but I wouldn't pay that much for it! great editing again!
where can I download Instrumental #10 by Chris Holm Music ?????
Get ittt! This car is too cool to miss out on!!
It looks amazing from the inside! Oldtimer from the outside, newtimer from the inside! :D
Some really unique drone shots in this video!
Keep up with cool mini videos tim
I own a 1982 Classic Mini, but this one is my dream!
Great Video Shmee150 love the mini very close to my heart hope I get to own a classic one some day and just enjoy the fun as much as you do :)
love this MINI
I like it! cool concept/idea from this company
Love it! If you can afford it I personally would consider buying it 👍🏻
Would definitely be a sound investment. The bonnet straps are prone to moving about and damaging the paint work under them, sure that clear film wrap would prevent that.
Are you going on the press drive for the 720s?
Yes I am going there :)
Shmee150 are you going to buy one?
mattia partesotti he's said how he's likely to wait for a special LT edition if he gets one at all to avoid the steep depreciation. Either that or a slightly used one.
Maybe he will change idea by driving it
It's a work of art - awesome!!!

Is it more reliable than a 675LT?
I agree it looks nice everywhere, but the price is insane. You can get an AC, built in touchscreen nav, brand new comfy seats, and more added to your mini for like 5k.

Shmee150 Oke thanks for letting me know!! I will definitely go to Streetgasm in Amsterdam since I also live very close to Amsterdam. And it's always awesome how you answer so many questions!
First time in my life to like a mini 👍
Great drone shots!
You could make a beast of a Mini for that price!!
Just do it, Shmee.. this is a car to be used when peaceful, relaxing driving is saught-after, and I am sure that you, as any other human being, do need something this enjoyable for the warm summer evenings in the mountanous roads outside Monaco.
Digital speedo like i have in one of mine :), is it not vertical? it looks to be off?
THINKS, TIM AND CREW
Amazing content Tim seriously it's better in Monaco for videos
I own a Classic mini and the driving sensation is amazing, this looks a lot like it! The noise is so cool! Pricey but worth it, if I could.... 🥶
It is a custom car that is like a brand new car. Many people seem not to realize that if you buy any type of car that is built like that it is going to be costly.
David Brown clearly need some good designers. The realights? Steering wheel? Headlamps? Bonkers silly bonnet "straps"?
Out of all of it, the rear lights are the worst part and are quite literally horrendous. I can live with most of the other details, it is a remastered car, but those rear lights remind me of the mods people used to do to these cars in the early 2000s in a feeble attempt to try and get their car featured in some sort of custom car mag.
Agree. Especially the tail lights, tacky steering wheel and those fake bonnet straps
Great video!!! Thanks for the daily content! Tim can you please film Patrick's mini since he restored it if possible to see the comparison with yours?
100k mini it's a mini ! you could buy 3 full spec John Cooper works for that and have change I could spend 10k on my cooper s and have the ultimate Mini You could do this to yours shmee 👍🏁
Those original mini cars have a unique driving experience that no modern car could match.
That vanquish is getting a trade in
Just wondering if it's possible to buy the parts like the interior dash ,custom exhaust, lights... etc independently? I'm really liking that dash and I'd like to install it on my 1998 mini .
That's the best car you have reviewed a complete classic reborn 😁
that gear whine is magical
News on the LT, Tim ! :)
I don't have news for you; it'll take a few days to get back to the UK, then a few days to be looked at, and then I've got to film something and put it out - so you're looking at 10 days if we're lucky, more likely a fair bit longer.
Ok, thanks. Hope it's just a sensor or something not that important.
+Shmee150: Hope for you it isn't something big.
That's a beautiful colour.!
Lovelly car, what is your drone ? And what is your watch ?
Frenchboy
8:35 , the man on the wall =D
Can I ask which do you prefer and or is more fun, going through the roads such as the D2202, at full speed in something like the mini featured or in a performance car where reaching full speed does not occur as often but you have the sound and the initial acceleration?
