I’m going to pay off both of my properties in about 3-5 years. One property is is a 2 bed one bath, the other is a 4 bed one bath. Once paid off, If I stick with section 8, I’ll cash flow about 1770 a month, but if I rent by the room I could cash flow 3200 a month. It would more management intensive with renting by the room.
That's certainly true. Section 8 also. Either way that one property covers your cost of living in over 65% of the world. Where are the properties located?
Trying to get onto the Section 8 wait list is impossible, especailly in TX. It is as long as 5 years. Going to try to be ready to move to Mx next year on SS.
As a landlord, here it's a bit different. Once a tenant wants to move in and use their voucher all I have to do is allow inspection. Personally I'm not in love with section 8 I prefer market rate tenants much much more. What part of MX
before making a move out of the united states, do you suggest visiting and staying in the country you want to live for a month to test it out. Or is it better to just move there one time.
If each person owns a bedroom bathroom suite no mortgage on bus stops in America... Property taxes, 2k yearly Utilities, 2k yearly Groceries yearly, 3k yearly Bus pass unlimited, 2k Basically 10k yearly Works for 95% of people
2 things I'd argue here....2k property taxes are low in the larger cities but possible in many other towns. I think most Americans would have trouble with the discipline to save to buy a property outright. But if they owned outright yes the budget you described without homeowners insurance, no travel or leisure is possible in the states. In this post you can actually live in a city center for the same budget with some travel. Leisure, and renting...
@@Karl__Pierre the property taxes and utilities yearly are an estimate per bedroom bathroom suite in the DC area on bus stops. An all you can ride bus pass is 700 yearly. With a 2k budget, that leaves plenty of money to fly out and see friends. If you have another 100k, you can own a bedroom bathroom suite with no mortgage at the beach in SC!! Not a bad life!!!
@@Karl__Pierre in terms of saving money for the ownership of a bedroom bathroom suite, it's really easy if we're teaching kids how to do it. We teach them to double up on jobs at the earliest ages and dump everything earned into paying off the mortgage ASAP. It can be done if people want to do it. Whether or not people want it isn't really my thing, I just know it can be done 👍 and fast! Double up on jobs in DC area and that's $80k with no skills. Legally per federal law, that's accessible from age 16. Can mathematically payoff a bedroom bathroom suite on bus stops in 3 years. I'm working today with young people who are doing this right now, so I know it can be done with our mentoring and encouragement. Most kids are good kids 😊. They'll just do as they're told. We just have to show them the way.
@@Karl__Pierre there's plenty of renovated housing stock, such as in Temple Hills MD, on bus stops just outside the most powerful city in the world. In a 4 bed bath suite house, 4 young people can payoff in under 2 years. We only get 9 or 10 decades on earth? Spending 2% of it really focused on debt free homeownership is completely worthwhile. Trust me, it's lots easier to do this than getting a BS MS and doctorate degrees which was my path, lol 😂. That required the full 12 years of grade school plus another 12 years of "higher education". After all of it, I still couldn't afford a bedroom bathroom suite!!!?!! Sad 😢... But this is what most kids are told to do. I, like you 🤩, try to show them a different life model.

I love your videos
Can you do one on investments that would help grow money for students. If I have $5000 how would I invest it to make more money
Sure I can do a video like that
I think more importantly, what sort of return/goal are you looking for. Are you thinking a passive or active investment?
@@Karl__Pierre passive would be way easier, I feel you could talk about the 2 and give a few suggestions on them

Where?
So not for those who are on only SS. Investing takes money!
This is true, but money can also be raised from others.
