Absolutely amazing pad. Finally a surface that properly mimicks that artisan hien/hayate speed and feel but offered mainstream and with humidity resistance and minimal branding. Fnatic did an amazing thing with this in my opinion. I just wish the height was at least the standard 400mm. 372 is just a tad shallow. Not a deal breaker though.
Tip: If you have a large mouse mat like a desk pad put it 1cm or so over the lip of ur desk for better comfort-ability for ur arm Edit: By lip i mean edge

Fnatic bought Func a while back.... I really hope they bring back the Func Surface 1030. It's stupid expensive now. I loved the double sided mousepad. My Alienware hardpad that came with my m18x R2 is literally in the process of biting the dust (surface wear, surface peeling off rubber backing, what's left of 3 pairs of mouse skates being permanently embedded into the surface, and a few deep scratches from when my mouse skates were dead). The 1030 is literally the same surface so I don't want to change the feel of my mouse if I don't have to.
Late to the party but here's my take. Note : apperantly , there is a "V2" Dash. Fnatic did some silent tweaks , so keep in mind if my take doesn't matches yours. Out of the box , it felt bad. Like oddly bad. Slow , muddy as if there was something on the surface , from the factory. I gave it couple more days and i fell inlove with it. I am unsure if it's the initial breakdown , just like any other pad or what but it got quite bit faster by itself. Doesn't feel muddy any longer , glide feels very consistent in each direction. I really don't want to compare it to Artisan Hien , it's a lot smoother and better balanced in terms of static - dynamic - stopping power ration. I'd rather call it "slower Raiden". Hien gives me soulless and scratchy feedback under my feet , feels unbalanced with static friction being too low , dynamic on the higher side and stopping power being somewhere , the ratio is just not there , being pretty rough and the X/Y difference helps to worsen it further. I genuinely don't see the Hien hype when the Dash exist. On the Dash , i get that Raiden fluid-feel glide , just slower. Very consistent and smooth in each direction. It is not as smooth as Raiden is probably the smoothest pad out there , but it's not far. Doesn't feel grainy/sandpapery like AC+ , Hien , Strider , Infinity , it feels smooth despite it looking grainy. However , the other pads mentioned does feel scratchy when moving your mouse around , but somewhat smooth glide. While Dash , feels smooth on your skin by on your feet you have a weird haptik feedback , like tiny micro-beads are pouching your feet which i honestly like A LOT! It's quite unique tactile feel i haven't got on a mousepad since i used MP510 a good while ago , but it was also more present on the MP510. All in all , Fnatic Dash V2/Revisited/Remastered or however Fnatic call it , is an amazing All-Rounder in my opinion. It is fast , but not slippery like Raiden , although Raiden is perfectly controllable. It doesn't feel unbalanced like Hien to me. If you apply more force it does increase the stopping power. Stitching and rubber base are far from Artisan level. Not bad , but not quite there yet. As i said , i do see this pad as a great all-rounder - good static to dynamic ratio , plenty of stopping power , doesn't feel muddy whatsoever in micro-movements , tactile feedback. Throw an Artisan stiching and rubber base under that surface and i may never change my mousepad again. For those coming from a QcK or something it may feel fast initially , but we as a humans have adapted to way worse than a piece of cloth , so you'll get used to it. Don't be afraid. I love it. It makes me want to buy Hayate Otsu just to see if it is the closest Artisan pad to mimic the Dash.
Brian, Razer has a Deathadder mini only for $35 if I'm not mistaken on AliExpress. I think it's worth a look for that price and it has all the features the flagship has too.
i have a mountain of desk mats aswell but to be honest i actually like gaming on the novelkeys and dixie mech pads, the dixie mech pads are super soft so it feels nice on my wrists and four arms for extending gaming sessons and i have stop using my "gaming" mouse pads on top of my "keyboard" pads. No i pretty much just play with the GLorios 3x underneath and the 900x400 dixie mech pad on top
So, I used to live by the Shidenkai, I recently bought a sheet of tempered glass, and acid etched (frosted it). So far it's my favorite surface I've ever used. Feet wear slower than most hard pads because it's smoother, but it does more damage than a cloth pad. Other than that, it just feels smooth, it's quiet (something that annoyed me w/ some hard pads) and doesn't have really any downside other than if I sweat I need to wear a hoodie, or a shooter sleeve. What are your thoughts on actual glass pads?
Did You review any Steelseries QcK pads? I am using a large mousepad but must admit that my old Steelseries QcK Large Hyper Beast Edition is the best surface I ever tried. It's the smoothest yet with control I ever tried. Collects no dust and feels overall so damn good. Only problem is that there is no XXL version of it, their XL version is to short in depth. But I can't deny that Steelseries surface is really something special.
