Something tells me the refrigerant that it used could wipe out a whole neighborhood but at the same time the thing would probably outlive everyone anyways. 😅
i have never seen anything like this before (i was born in 2006). looks old and cool. i thought it was a fan in the thumbnail lol. i hope to see it get restored!
The first I remember seeing one of those outdoor units was at a Dollar General store in a building that probably 100 years old now. The store is moved out some 20 years ago. The outdoor unit was replaced sometime in the 90s. It didn't seem to have that long of a life. I wish I had a picture of the indoor air handler. I thought it was as interesting as the outside unit.

My home is still currently using one, still cooling the house great
Learn how to tell the truth
@@larrygriffin7024 What?
Sweet find! Always liked the look of these, just how different they look from the regular config with the fan blowing upwards.

Cool find. Also nice that you got tbe air handler. Looks like a ceiling mounted style air handler. Cant wait to see it restored.

Scene your grandmother's GE is uninstalled what unit did you put in the sleeve?
My church in louisiana had a row of about 15 of those badboys. Lol
that is pretty interesting. those things don't quit!!
How are you gonna be able to recharge the system on that thing. The refrigerant it used must be outlawed or no longer available to purchase.
They don't make it anymore but it doesn't mean you can't get it.
if you ever want to sell it please let me know! ive been looking for a while.
Pretty
That thing probably would have outlived whatever they put in.
That thing looks like a hunk of sh*t. Pretty cool though 😅
Its not though.
