Jazakumallahu Khayran for having me on the live, I appreciated it and definitely took to heart the advice given from Shaykh for myself and growing my community back home whislt being a student of knowledge overseas now. May Allah reward you all at the Safina Society
İsmail Ağa (he pronounced it correctly) is the name of the mosque, named after a shaykhul Islam of the ottomans. The mosque and its jamaah is famous for their Islamic closing such as the niqab and wide pants and turbans and beards. The former Imam of the mosque Mahmud Efendi is a shaykh of the Naqshibandiyyah, Khalidiyyah more specifically. That part of Istanbul is called çarşamba. There are some madrasahs for boys and girls as well shops for Islamic clothing and Islamic bookstores etc.. It is the same place Yavuz Sultan Selim mosque is at, behind which the great khalifah and uniter of the Islamic lands Yavuz Sultan Selim Han is buried. Mahmud Efendi is probably the most famous shaykh in western turkey. His irshad is showing its fruits. He passed in the year 2022 rahimahullah.
This livestream corrects a lot of misconceptions and makes me realize that the average layman regularly gives incorrect information and bad advice. Jazakallahu khayr for this podcast.
If your Passport is not from a developed country, you cannot get continued extended tourist visa. In that case you either have to re-enter or have to enroll at a public university there because the tuition would be somewhat lower in public universities. Re-entry on a new tourist visa is not guaranteed if your passport is weak. So don't count on that. Your tourist visa application might get rejected.

Shaykh Muhammad al Hashimi was not Syrian. He is from Tilmisan in Algeria. He emigrated to Syria due to the French colonization.
