I’ve been a fan of The Soft Moon since “Zeros” and was blown away by “Deeper” when it came out nearly ten years ago, they were a regular part of my commute back in those days and I exercised to his final album “Exister” pretty regularly when it dropped. I was looking through r/nin about a month ago in a thread about discussing albums by other artists and was shocked to find out that Luis Vasquez had passed away earlier this year. RIP Luis Vasquez and Robert Forster.
Really sad watching this years later as a fan of The Soft Moon and Breaking Bad, now that Luis Vasquez and Robert Forster are no longer with us, Rest in Peace. TSM’s music has really helped me get through some dark times in my life during my young adulthood.
Listened to this a lot when I was living with my mom as she died of cancer & struggling to wean herself off pain meds. What a rough time, but this song was like being hugged in the dark when nobody else noticed what we were going through or gave a damn.
Molly Lenore i used to lsn to it in the days of war u just feel the time stops and everything around u float in the air..it was bad days.. sorry for ur mom molly
I can''t believe Luis entered eternal life recently. His music is soul escaping. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. Such a huge loss. Such a senseless loss.Ugh.
Wasting time Don't stop the world, you know you can't You have to lift what's only real Can't stop the world and start again You have to feel what's only real You've gotta take life by the hand Let the substance close you in Hope to one day come alive You have to take life by the hand Hope to one day understand Don't stop the world, you know you can't You have to lift what's only real Can't stop the world and start again You have to feel what's only real
The bass guitar style The Soft Moon makes is simply wonderful... Its the epiphany definition of pure gothic tune... Try listening to the song by them called "Alive" - absolute gothic bass guitar heaven! Love this band - its one of a kind!
This band would do great for a serial killer movie soundtrack. No cause it is "scary" cause it's not. But they really capture this primal, dark and lonely feel to a T.
This song…. my lord. I listened to this song on a plane ride to Iceland in August of 2021, and just actually being high in the air with this song playing over my earbuds truly felt… surreal. For context I should say this song feels like ascension.
I didn’t know Luis passed away, I just found out. I hope he is at peace now. Judging by the lyrics he wrote, he fought many demons in his mind, the poor soul. I’m sad that everyone around him couldn’t reach him in time to help him.
It´s hard to find great music in these times. Recently discovered this band and I´m loving it so far. Reminds me of a darker Tears for Fears with post Violator Depeche Mode. This is brilliant!
Yeah, there’s so much.. I hear Cocteau Twins, hints of Joy Division, Depeche Mode for certain.. Some NIN.. This song gives me the chills.. it’s freaking beyond lovely 💔
I wanna see this guy pedalboard ,this band is great and what is even greater is the combo of their unique sound and visual effects they use for their videos and live performances.
Thank you for sharing your artistic creativity. Just learned of your passing. Also posted on another video comment section. Loved hitting the gym to this band. Ran in 118 degrees for a mile in AZ hearing this band in AirPods.
Robert Forster was in Twin Peaks which was amazingly and incredibly thoughtful. And he was in Breaking Bad which ended surprisingly Thoughtful. And now he's here, doing the same
So sad to hear of Luis’s passing today, his music is so hauntingly beautiful, thank you for this gift, RIP.
Nooooo
That IS why i want to die, listening to ...LUIS,,, Nico
RIP Luis, thank you for the music.
I discovered his music not long before. Sort of off-topic, but this is the sort of music I think would have been perfect for The Crow. RIP.
I do not understand , who IS Luis ? Do not tell me it s the Angel singer...
@@nicocrussiere8771its the singer 🥺😭
Rest in peace and love, Luis. My heart is broken. 🖤 These lyrics really hit hard now...
recently found the soft moon's beautiful music only to realise he just recently passed away. Rest in heaven luis

i'm in love with this band, they have this familiar but unique vibe, its strange
Like new order on xanax, imho.
New Order jamming with Depeche Mode on a speedball. L O L
listen to him is like to be listening all 80s post punk, darkwave, death rock and others blended into one dense material
yup. i love it!
I call it new dark progressive rock ambient wave

Apparently it's lift, live makes more sense though.

That song, this and all the albums are Darkwave.
i can honestly say this is one of the greatest songs i have heard in years....years.
Rest in peace, Robert Forster. Your drive to never give up is an inspiration. We are thinking of you as El Camino premiers today.
He had a major role in the film The black hole. A childhood favourite of mine
Rest In Peace Robert Thank you for everything ♥️
Descansa en paz Luis. ¡¡Gran inspiración!!
Just discovered the band today and yesterday he passed away… RIP. 😞
This song deserves more attention
R.I.P PEEKO I'll second that..
Only a pussy goes by a phony name on UA-cam

Try "she past away" good band
You said exactly what I think! 🖤
fantastic visuals! It appears to be the extension of the "Far" vid. This song is indeed brilliant!! as well as the whole album.
RIP Robert Forster
is that the singer??? did he die or something? i’m just wondering

RIP Luis, you will truly be missed
Loving the 80's Goth vibe!
usedfuzzbox ya!!!
Luis will live forever
To me this band is as if NIN and Depeche Mode had a baby.
overtrist I can definitely feel the NIN influence
Some of the more melodic stuff has The Cure sound to it.
Eulogy absolutely 😎
Yeah, there’s so much.. I hear Cocteau Twins, hints of Joy Division, Depeche Mode for certain.. Some NIN.. This song gives me the chills.. it’s freaking beyond lovely 💔
Well I was Gunna post something very similar but you beat me by a year lol.
This song is perfect. A litte Tear for fears in the voice, but so much darker
I wanna see this guy pedalboard ,this band is great and what is even greater is the combo of their unique sound and visual effects they use for their videos and live performances.

Marcin Mierzejewski No Joy, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode
This video reeks of death. But it also adds to the poetry of the song. Rest in peace Robert and Luis.

Obsessed with this song 🖤
This is a cross between NIN, Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears.
Good ear my friend :)
I thought the same thing
I'd thought to be the only to feel a serious Tear for Fears vibe!
Totally
@@Agostoic the vocal melody is very Tears for Fears
don't know how i came here, but i want more of music like this, with this kind of dark vibe... love it

Tight tight!!

Thanks for this awesome and to me somewhat spiritual song.
Damn this song is crazy.
ONE OF THE BEST ALL OVER ✨️
Makes me think of the movie "The Lost Boys"
Love the 80's dark, gothic vibe
Excellent morceau, bien meilleur que leur titre " Far ". J'aime beaucoup les guitares qui me rappellent la belle époque à savoir les années 80
