I started gardening in 2021, when I retired, in my little backyard. I now have apples, cherries, honeyberries, blueberries, red raspberries, yellow raspberries, black raspberries, elderberries, gooseberries, currants, strawberries, grapes, rhubarb, asparagus, oregano, thyme, self-seeded basil, mustard, self-seeded radishes, horseradish, comfrey, mullein, sage, monarda, hyssop, chamomile, yarrow...I got manure from a local organic farm, and it brought lambs quarter & purslane to my yard...I already had mallow, shepherd's purse, dandelion, ground ivy, wood violets & clover. I planted mixed plots for pollinators, and found many of those flowers are edible and/or medicinal. I save my own seed, and I do a seed exchange with three other families. I get my meat, eggs, dairy & honey from local/regional sources...people who I know, and trust, to grow nutrient dense & chemical free (as much as possible, since toxins are everywhere) food. I thank God for all He has provided to me through others, since I can't do much of it on my little bit of land.

That is good. Move quickly and plant like your life depends on it. We are trying to not rely on grocery stores tho inevitably there are things we can't grow. So we will have to rely on them every now and then for things like flour, rice etc..

Pre-trib rapture was an idea begun in 1827 by John Nelson Darby. No one before then believed that and most Christians now don't. It's not Biblical.

Some of the best natural fertilizers are worm castings, horse manure and rabbit manure. Make sure the source you get manure from the animals were fed unsprayed hay/alfalfa. May God bless your land and harvests!

Same I learned to forage over 80 plants last year, mostly medicinal for tinctures and salves. What I’ve learned is when you depend on nature for sustenance, you have to shift your life and slow down. There’s a season for everything and timing is everything. Food preservation is a life saver.

Good morning! Regarding the taco seasoning, we're a family of 5 and we always have taco night. 1 packet wouldn't be enough so I just make my own. 1 tbsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp sea salt. I multiply this recipe shake in a mason jar and use as needed. Guaranteed to make the squirrel taste good 😂 thanks for all you do and share 🙏

I brought some apples a while back at a grocery store. They looked beautiful and I put them in a bowl on the island. I washed them in a vinegar/water solution as always but they didn’t taste real good. After about a month I threw them out and they looked as pretty as the day I bought them. I watched to see if animals would eat them. They did not. They would not even rot. I finally threw them in the trash and took them to the dump.

"Apeel" has been around for a while, you cannot wash it off even using vinegar wash. Peel the vegetable or fruit you are using, no more using /eating the skin. no zesting of citrus-like I use to. I did some reading on it last year when I first heard how bad it is.

We live on less than 1/4 acre. I try to grow as much food as i can and stock up my pantry. I try to grow lots of things that most people don't realize they are edible. I am doing what i can for my family and will be having a new baby arrive in May which makes gardening more difficult at the moment. But I'm doing my best and trusting God to take care of what i can't ❤

Not everyone can grow their own food. I live in a condo, and because there is woods behind me, I only got about three hours of sunshine on my deck. There are many like me some older people live in senior apartment buildings, without ability to grow food. This vase is great if you can do it!

Danny, there is an old Slavic remedy for anaemia. You need non toxic 4" plus nails, they need to be sterilised (as per pressure canner as medical equipment), the nails need to be driven through an apple, say 4 at a time. If the apple is left for 24 hours, you can cut the apple open, remove the nails and see the residual iron (black streaks) left behind. This only works with apples, it has the unique ability to draw the iron out of the nails at a useful quantity.

Love your presentation, Danny. Well, my place is on the edge of the Flint Hills of Kansas, so the wooded areas are along creeks and rivers for the most part. My acreage is essentially wide open with a few trees. So my young fruit trees and newly planted grapes are pretty conspicuous, as is my garden. And the greenhouse is a dead giveaway! SO, I trust the Lord will protect, provide, and sustain. Last year the cherry blossoms were frozen out. This year it LOOKS like the weather will allow a bumper crop! Yea! Pray over your food, no matter where it comes from. God bless y'all!!

It's raining here on April 2nd. The river is coming up. It's over the edge of the porch. It's supposed to only raise another 1 foot. I seriously doubt it will only be 1ft. It's supposed to rain until Saturday. I have planted a lot of taters & onions & beets. I will try to figure out how to do the herbs around the property. Horseradish is contained.

I grew sweet potatoes and harvested them last October.. still eating them today. They’re perfect for storage! I keep them in laundry baskets in my spare bedroom. I check the piles for bad ones every so often so the whole bunch don’t spoil. 😊

huh.. youtube is messing around again. I had to click the up thumb three times to get it to stick.
Every day that it's not pouring, I'm either planting something, "making" soil and/or picking stuff.
My fall peas.. that I planted in early October, are producing now... and the spring ones are up to about 6".
Before 5am.. I got cucumbers and squash seeds started.. and more flowers.
I'm going to have to buy sweet potato slips again.. I put the ones I saved in dirt the second week of January.. 0 slips.
The seasoning I have the most of put up is curry.. several different kinds.
I've had squirrel jambalaya.. sadly, it wasn't a de boned dish.. so many little bitty bones.

In the spring and summer, I just LOVE walking around my garden in the mornings I check on things and tend to what is needing tending. It's a very peaceful time for me. God has been so good to me and my husband, even through the trials, He has been glorified. Days are getting darker for this country, the world. I trust in my Savior.
I have thornless blackberry bushes and they produce abundantly for us. We love them!

Clayton Morris on Redacted news YT channel has covered some issues with this bridge event. 3 waterway events in less than 2 weeks. Oklahoma, as you mentioned, Baltimore and St. Mary's River in Michigan. Not sure if the Michigan issue got resolved yet. I'm in the path of these severe storms and the solar eclipse here in East Central Indiana.
