That should not been joined like that it should been angled cut on each piece and then plated inside with a long piece of Chanel to support the extension ..

You don’t modify factory specs first wrong - for chassis integrity, just not welding , any extension should be supported by crossmembers mounted on gusset’s and secured with relevant washers and huck bolts very very dangerous work being done
Sure you not a good engineer if you don't see the whole lives on how they do it.... that's only for you tube...have you ever see a vehicle broken chassis after fabricated..most manufacturer don't do complete length on medium weight chassis.....some are shorten for prime mover purpose and some extent for certain purpose use.

This is absolutely shanti work these guys are cleanly missing the entire point this is not feasible response or necessary extension or eventual permanent reconstruction of a tail end of a heavy loading truck it’s a tragedy waiting to happen please don’t do anything this ever you don’t have to own a truck not to understand metallic fatigue integrity
