Almost ignored it but gave it a chance. Just came away from an 8 hour streamed play. Absolutely soaked in cosmic horror noir vibes. Love the tone, writing and pacing. Unique horror game. Deserves to find its nieche audience.
couldn't have said it better myself! I really hope this finds its audience as it deserves to be checked out!
The game looks amazing, I really love your review videos ❤
thank you cat!! i really enjoy doing these reviews and hope to do more!
I had so much fun with this game. I beat it 7 times (4 as Edward, 3 as Emily) in 2 weeks and plan to play it again several more times. The studio did incredibly well with this remake, reboot or reimagining and it pays homage to the 1992 original in a very faithful and respectful manner. The game's story, characters, atmosphere, noir vibe, music, and eerie 1920s rural American South setting are all on point, the biggest main attraction (not many games set in 1920s), and fit perfectly this latest Alone in the Dark. Even if far from perfect with the janky combat, occasional stutters and getting stuck at random obstacles issues, this is overall a fun and solid game. A pleasant revival with a firm foundation to this badly mismanaged series of over 30 years. I feel confident it will gain an audience in time, satisfy most veterans, and be an ideal ENTRY point for newcomers to the series. Hoping for the Alone in the Dark series to continue.
thank you so much for the comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! its really fun and I hope as many people as possible get to check it out!
Really enjoyed your review and a great job at detailing on everything thanks so much I can't wait playing later today! I pre-order the digital deluxe edition on ps5!
I forgot to say about director's commentary I have never seen in a video game however I have seen this type of method done in DVD and I loved watching them so this is definitely a plus for me!
thank you so much! I love to go over details that I find myself wanting to know, so glad others like it to!
YES! I miss that era of having director community and stuff!
Thanks for this review. I think Left 4 Dead had a developer commentary mode.
ahh nice! im sure there's more games that did it but love to see it happen more!
Review Length - I don't think it matters as long as the content is appealing and interesting. Which your content is. I enjoy your content!
THANK YOU SIN! And look at those cool emotes !
Oh I love that developer commentary thing! That'd be a really interesting feature in many games.
I would love to see it brought into more games as I find it so cool to see what went on behind the scenes and why things look/sound/play the way they do!
I love this game very much.
Love the puzzels.
Good review.
thank you! I've been having a blast with it, so glad you liked the review!
Leaving a comment for the algorithm, need to check this out properly later!
FEED THAT ALGORITHM!
I will still be coping this in a few hours
fair enough!
Yeah, I’m not playing any game that scores as low as a 60 on Metacritic
Good thing this is at 64
and that's fair, as with so many games out it's hard to put money in loads of different games and so review scores play a big part. However I will say that I really enjoyed my time with this, and if you like your slower style horror games then this is a safe bet! but also you can always wait for it to go down in price! There's also a demo (prequel) to try out to get a feel of the game
It'd be super cool to hear your thoughts on the "Alone in the Dark" movies💛🤍💜🖤
oooooooh i love that! Great idea!
