The Minecraft Redstone Computer was really fun to make, really excited to continue working on it, and please let me know what you thought of the video in the comments!
Dude when I clicked on your video I thought you had at least 25k subs, your quality is amazing keep it up and one day you can make some sweet sweet UA-cam bucks. :)
ayy thank you man, this really does mean a lot, if that ever happens that would be a very happy day
@@QubitHQ Trust me with content like this it will. Keep up le good work :3
And look at him now
Only like 5mil or smth views on a vid lol
I can make a door, that's it
I can’t even make a door lmao
Response to your response to the comment about “wasting time”. I’d waste my time gladly to learn something I had no clue about. So... thanks! Not a waste of time after all.
4:13 It hit the corner
:O
Idea for Qubit: I really think you should make how to make an auto farm since a lot of people don't know how.
You are extremely smart. People like you could do very well streaming your work. Letting viewers lurk and learn who would donate to give back to a community they feel welcomed to especially those they can learn from. I recommend the TwitchTV IRL section.
that's an interesting Idea, might very well end up doing that one day haha, thanks Wicked
Omigosh this is what I was looking for for so many years lmao. Most people who make red stone computers explain it so vaguely for people who don’t know about computers and I can never understand it but you made it so simple. I’m also wasting productivity by making parts of a computer lel. You should continue this cuz I’m gonna use you as a reference once I start building my own computer. Seriously, your awesome
NASA: Why should I hire you?
Qubit:
hahah, there are probably some redstone engineers hiding in NASA right now, wouldn't be surprised to be honest
Qubit: I can land your rockets via my minecraft computer :D
This makes me wish I knew a lot about how computers work
It's never too late :P, well I know lots of people have other responsibilities / things to do so I can get why it's not always so easy, but if you do find time at some point, one of the benefits is just knowing what the computer you have does when you use it
check out NAND TO TETRIS
Man I wish I knew the basics of modern redstoning. If I ever wandered to try that I would be massive and not that compact (although I know how computers work) so my problem is actually in-game, making such a thing requires dedication and knowledge I don't have. Good job qubit.
This project is paired with Ben Eater's 8 bit breadboard computer.
I can imagine teaching kids about computers through minecraft ^^
Keep going!
Fantastic work! This is the first video from you channel I have seen. You have earned a subscriber and I look forward to watching the rest!
As for future videos, I wonder what it would take to be able to create other kinds of ouputs besides the one that you have currently (maybe even something more graphical?).
Thanks for the kind words man! Yeah I do plan on adding such features in a later version, the limitations of redstone is a good question too, at the end of the day it's mostly the speed delay that bites the limitations, and also how much you can load (space requirements). But I'm excited to find those limitations eventually hahah
honestly this is moving your life along and that person is insane.
Learning the core principles of computing and making an entire cpu from scratch is ABSOLUTELY not a waste of time in any way whatsoever. This will teach you so so so much.
can it run minecraft with ray tracing shaders at full settings tho
hahah maybe one day... far far away :P
I don't subscribe to many but I sub'd this one. Keep it up, awesome work and very informative. 👍
thanks so much Spartan, I'll try not to disappoint
Wow a new video again... keep it up, also OMG I love it
thanks, yeah took a while to finish this one, I need to get better and doing some of these things faster
i love the different contents and also this actually gave me a good perspective of computers thanks mate
This is a really good video my dude, I subbed very informative and thorough you got a sub
i watched this video again, because i was learning about how computers work, and first i wanna say congrats on 100k subs!
Man this is insane! It's the people like who got me into minecraft in the first place. Can you share more details about the architecture? Like how many registers are there and how many instructions can it perform?
I love this keep up the great work. People like you inspire me to keep working on mine
Dude you're incredibly intelligent, I would've never thought this was possible in minecraft
this man not only catches predators but is a minecraft god
This is bloody amazing! Well done
Yeah, that's nice and all but the real question is can it run doom? Haha cool video man. Love exploring the limits of redstone computing.
I'm curently working on a 'soft' 32bit computer (command blocks and mcfunctions). But if you are willing to build something without command blocks you're kind of a legend to me. Would like to hear news about this project.
youre doing amizing with these stuff, good job (i cant spell that)
wow that's neat, you planning to do stuff exclusively in machine code or gonna build some sort of compiler/interpreter and have some sort of higher level language to use?
ayy! good question man, I first plan on upgrading the computer so that it's capable of more, and from there how it's used is dependent on how powerful it is. A compiler would be interesting to make though, sounds like a lot of fun
Nice Video Keep it up!!!!
Damn dude you came far, a couple months ago I talked to you on discord about this, goddamn you really came far from the calculator you first made.
I can see you will go far, if you get popular it’ll be crazy to see that I talked to a growing creator and possibly set him on the path he was on. Great job dude
Greatly presented Minecraft video. Well played Qubit
I've been working on my own redstone computer and this video came in handy thanks
I really liked this video, you have a new subscriber now ^^
thank you man! If you do have any thoughts on what I could do better by all means let me know, I'm trying to improve quickly :3
Awesome stuff man
Make a turing machine 👌
Man love you’re work if you upload more often and do like tiny little side projects you could be the next Mumbo jumbo what you build is amazing
My guy good video
TY my dude
Cool video. But can you build a Nice slot machine or any other casino games that are easy to build?
This, sir would be an excellent tutorial for people not familiar with how computers work.
This is gaming with a purpose and took quite a lot of skill and creativity to create. Not a waste of time at all.
Dude. Seriously. This is awesome!
Heyy thanks man! Was a lot of fun putting it together
Man this brilliant. You're a genius!
No u, and thanks man :3, it was fun to make
Hi qubid nice to see you again
well hello there!
Goddamn NASA engineer
hahha thank you man, it was fun to do
Very noice buddy :3
ty man :3 I hope it ended up well
Damn i knew youd deliver but i didnt think id happen so fast good job man
thank you for the kind words :P
Also 5:28 nice
That's super sweet!
Dude, this is awesome, I can barely make a pulse in minecraft
Me watching this:
Ad: *shows an ad of a computer*
Me: 👁👄👁 fbi, is that you?!
Fbi: *we have been exposed*
You...Are a genius!
Dude, idk if you remember me from the discord minecraft server , I am that.boy I really like your content, it.s very good
Hell yeah qubit
cool, ive made a few computers using redstone before. I do question the truck pictures on the title though
this deserves more views
Awesome video
Dude you part of the duck duck go gang? Same here!
that's so cool bro
I want to make a circuit board compiler for Minecraft. Basically it takes a schematic from useful software and turns it into Minecraft
Nice
Its Super
bruh this is so sick
Imagine making a powerful enough minecraft computer to play minecraft on the minecraft computer. *M I N E C E P T I O N*
Can you give a tutorial on how to build your registers? Also, is this a RISC or CISC type computer? Is there a schematic of the whole thing? Did you use one bus or did you have a bus for address, data, and control?
You should make a series about making a computer, if you havent already
Qubit forced me to watch and comment. No, no. Don't shoo
And then accidently place a bucket of water
It’s me from discord nice work love it lol
Bro, amazing
His Madlad levels are off the charts
Oh hey look it’s the computer that flew the Apollo 11
Now we need the tiny player mod and make a laptop
Can I just say that I used to not understand shit about logic gates for some reason but after watching your RAM video I kinda get it (also kinda don't but whatever) and um thanks 👉👈
ayy thanks, I am critical of myself on how much the explanations actually help, never 100% sure if I was detailed enough or on the flipside if I explained it in a "too complicated" way you know, but I'll try my best to do better with each video :3
How does the RAM work? Is it read only? Repeater locks? Piston based?
How does this guy not have a bajillion subscribers?
He definitely deserves them.
Bro my brain can't handle this
You know this isnt fake because who the hell has the courage to do this
...
+sub
magnificence
Nice. Now port LLVM on it.
big brain, man
Your content is so amazing
I will advertise u on my discord
Can u try to build a really compact computer?
Awesome
It's big brain time!
U really2 genius..
good job boy
thanks bro
next vid: playing minecraft in minecraft
You just might be the next Sethbling! :)
Sethbling is a legend, found out about him soon after I made my first video on this channel, even being a fraction of what he is is a massive compliment, thank you man
this guy is HIGHER than mumbo wtf
haha, Mumbo is a beast, so that's a big compliment thank you
Mad lad Mad lad
Just curious. How did you learn to do this?
Next video: curing cancer with redstone
Remember the good ol days
when his entire channel wasn't about catching pedos but pulling of some impressive stunts
Its actually small compared to others
hey, im glad i was able to talk to u on discord. ur content looks great man. keep up the great work :)
how about a more advanced display on a computer like that
awesome
No u
Build P.A.M.A bro
If you could make a GPU that would be so cool
Wait this thing can be faster? Its nearly as fast as my IRL pc
First
hahah sadly I don't think you were first :P
@@QubitHQ second
first
Sike
Lol
You and Global Silver were neck and neck hahah
Do you think it would be possible for you to make a video more in depth on how these computers work? These videos are really inspiring and I’m interested in making a red stone computer myself, I just don’t know how the components of the computer work.
an advanced trainstation computer?
what type of architecture does it use?
