They did have 'bulletproof' glass. That's the thing. The glass they had was extra thick, but broke after it was hit with baseball bats and it took them over 40 hits to crack the glass. Bulletproof glass is not the same for retail like it is for police and military.

A bit of tactical advice from an Army SOF guy. If Peter installs a fogger, his security guys won't be able to see, accurately discern, and safely engage targets. If anything, it will mask the robbers and make an already chaotic situation worse. His security personnel should be using thermal goggles to pierce through the fog. Night vision will not pierce the fog, whereas thermal will. Alternatively, he can get rid of the fog machine entirely because it's counterproductive.
Also, I would recommend giving your guy a shorter-barreled AR with a suppressor and a weapon-mounted flashlight. I have done a lot of CQB in my time, and shooting a rifle indoors unsuppressed can be deafening, which is just as bad for the good guys as it is for the bad guys. There's a reason all the high-speed military units use suppressors, and it's not to look cool.

Armed robbery used to carry a heavy sentence but it was changed last year. As a result Beverly Hills has seen more crime last year in 2021, than an entire 10-years previous. The police are arresting all the same people, over and over again. Whatever this is, is a drive to get people out of California.
