In this video you come to Markina very close to where I live, your images are at the level of local television in the Basque Country, your trip is very exciting and I hope you enjoy your visit to the Basque Country on your way to Santiago. Thanks Efren.
Today I’m extra emotional because I’m sick of isolating, feeling the pain of the world and truly miss the Camino. This episode had me like 😭. The shot of the white horses in the beginning started the tears flowing, so thanks a lot 😂. And yeah, I have to agree with another commenter, I’ve binged all your Camino videos and the Norte seems to be your best work yet. 🙏🏻👍🏻
thank you so much Erin. hang in there my friend.
Thanks Efren, We have been following all your caminos, and .. you are the best.
Thanks very much, Efrén. I was supposed to leave for my first Camino in early May, but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Your videos are keeping the Camino alive for me. I'm gonna go back and rewatch your Portugués for every day that I was supposed to have been on the CP. It was your CF series that inspired me to dream of the Camino.
Hey @ArgentbytheTiber, Were you able to finally walk CP or any Camino?
Check my playlists
@@Walk_with_Efren 😃Oh I have watched and rewatched all of your Caminos, Efren!
Which CP are you referring to? I have walked the Litoral and Central both from Porto to Santiago
@@Walk_with_Efren sorry I was asking @ArgentbytheTiber if they ended up walking CP after the pandemic
I met a Camino friend at that mid route Cafe, the last one for the next 17kms. And it was closed for their holiday period. That was a tough day for us both, 34degC and that incline that never ended. That's a section that will stop many from continuing. Or build your pilgrim spirit.
Hola Efren, Thank you so much for these Camino del Norte videos. My husband and I walked this route for our first Camino in 2018 and just loved it. My girlfriend and I were planning to do this route but diverting to the Primitivo at Villaviciosa in May this year. Unfortunately we are now in self-isolation as are so many others during this difficult time. The highlight of our day (every second day) is watching your new vlog. They are some of the best vlogs we have watched on the Norte and the most indicative of what we experienced. In the meantime each day we walk on the treadmill and try to learn a few more words of Spanish. Every second day we are watching a couple of episodes of your epic Via Francigena. Stay safe and keep them coming. Buen Camino y Gracias
that's great Susan. I'm glad my videos can help. I'm trying to edit them as fast as I can now that I have the time.
These are your best yet -- and that's saying something because they're all great! Thanks, Efren.
I don't know why this post is in my UA-cam name - but this is Linda Birchall.
thank you so much Linda!
Thank you Efrén for this new episode of the Norte. I enjoy very much doing it all again !
Bonjour Efren
Bravo.
Following your Camino del Norte with much pleasure Efrén! Fantastic footage especially of all the farm animals. ¡Buen Camino! 👣🍷👍😎
Such beautiful scenic views all around! Have read of it’s difficulty due to elevation gains so am pleased to see it in progress. My husband and I belly laughed over your unwelcome, surprising visitors at bathroom break-time, lol!
What a joy to watch your video. I remember that day so well. It was hard but as you said worth it. Thank you for sharing.
Just finished watching your Francigena videos and now on Camino del Norte. Last year I should have been cycling from Lisbon to Seville. Your videos are helping me cope with a UK Lockdown. What is the music track that starts at 3:20. Thanks for making these wonderful videos.
Hi Jim, I'm so glad you liked the via francigena vlogs so much as to watch another one of my series. The Camino del Norte is breathtaking. The song is "but as the radiance left your eye" by the SoundKeeper (The Laws of gravity) ua-cam.com/video/TQZ0l0raqxU/v-deo.html
Another superb vlog, Efren. I'm so excited every time I see a new one available. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into these.
awesome blog love the ceanery mochas gracias Buen Camino hermano many blessings
We did this leg on a wet day. I’ve done the Frances and the Italian part of the VF I have to say this day was probably the hardest of them all. Another great video.
totally agree.
Marvelous video Efren! Looks like those Altra Lone Peaks have served you well.
thank you. yes they did. only problem was they lost their water proofing right away but other than that they got me through 3 caminos in a row.
Thank you for your beautiful and inspirational videos of the Camino! Do have any suggestions for accommodations between Bilbao and Santandar that you recommend?
thank you so much Jane. this was 4 years ago and I haven't kept up to date with the accommodations. check out gronze.com you can see the albergue's ratings and comments from other pilgrims.
@@Walk_with_Efren sounds good Thankyou!
I remember this stage very well. Lots of uphill...
Today if everything had gone to plan I would been in Ribadesella, if it wasn't for you maintaining my sanity, I am very appreciative of your vlogs. Gracias
de nada amigo
Hey thank you so much for all the helpful info…! I’m curious if you are traveling with a sleeping bag/quilt or have the albergues supplying blankets…? If so are they charging for the blankets…?
Blankets are free, but I do carry with me a liner and an inflatable pillow.
hi yes I went over the bridge under repairs to avoid having to walk to the next bridge and then come back on the other side of the river. I suppose it is well marked but also keep in mind this was last year and the repairs may be done.
@@Walk_with_Efren Grato! estou fazendo as devidas anotações etapa por etapa. Me deliciando!
Are these current?? i.e what about the lockdown now? Great vids!!! well done
I am loving it
im so glad Gale. enjoy it.
The detours you take into churches and off the main Camino trail, does it add up to a lot more distance walked at the end of the day?
Always see you take the chance to see another attraction and I wondered.
I sometimes take alternative routes that are recommended online. sometimes it adds a few kilometers but it's worth it.
Hi Efren, thanks for all your videos, you're making isolation easier. I wanted to ask you, where (or what) was that building that looked like it had stones or a cave inside it?
i believe that was a lime oven.
Another wonderful video!!
Hello Efren, I love these videos. A question: I noticed logos for both Relive and Starva. Which do you prefer? Or do you use them for different functions? Thanks!
thank you Gary. at the time I walked last year you needed to track your walk on Strava then create the video on relive.
@@Walk_with_Efren Thanks!
Cool Vlog! Keep it up!♥️
Perfecto 👌
Love the Camino del Norte so far!! I grew up in Bilbao, so I was looking forward to these coming out for a while now! I hope to do the Camino in a few years. But it will probably be the Frances only because I think it will be a little easier. Am I wrong?
no you are not wrong. the Frances is easier and there are also more pilgrims.
