This is my easiest personal Game of the Year, for me. I've been obsessed with this game, and playing it non stop, when not at work.
Im kinda obsessed too, this game has been a real treat so far, I can't really think of any complaints so far.
The graphics is the only complaint I have but even then it’s a minor issue
literally no mon catching which has been part of megami tensei since beginning? if only it was made by mt devs instead of persona

Love the world building, the way magic works too, and god the archetypes are epic
65h in and i absolutely love every second of it
I am in love with the archetype system, RPGs with class systems make replaying them so much more fun
I’m definitely enjoying it too. Once you get to the end of the Martina arc, the next party member we get is currently my favorite.
So far, each new party member and follower do an excellent job in making me invested in their stories and the personalities of said characters.
Do we finally get a 4th party member? I was hoping we did but I was not sure.

This new party memeber is the goat of goats and must be cherished, and the awakening/theming of archetype is so goof
Yo just got to accepting the quest. I thought we were waiting for the foren guy to ask for a dual with Louis. Lol no I cry when I find Maria lmao
i was worried travelling for days would just stress me out from a time management stance, but LOVE how you can do activities while travelling :)
Yeah it's such a simple work around and it makes the flow of the game work so well imo
I just finished the game. Its definitely my goty and the best atlus game to me, it was worth that 7 year wait we had to do.
I liked the archetype system but it does have a problem late game (don't really need to say what the problem is, it'll be obvious when to get to that point) it was fun to do over 10k with my setup (on hard). I did learn every archetype on my MC as theres a trophy for it and i do want to platinum it (that took some grinding on xp items)
Definitely top 2 GotY for me. Wukong and Metaphor have both kept me hooked throughout. I'm a huge rpg fan, specifically turn based. So favoritism leans toward Metaphor but the cinematography of Wukong was next level so I really can't decide.

I cannot get enough of this game. I was excited prerelease but it has consumed me since launch. Atlus are the kings. The soundtrack is epic, everything oozes style, theres just nothing about this game that I don't love. Easy GOTY pick and if they do an expanded version later, I'll snag that too. No regrets. 😂
With the Archetypes mechanic, I wonder how different everyone's builds are, since you still unlock classes at about the same moment in your playthrough, and have the same needs at the same time with dungeons, etc.
For me:
- MC is the Magic/Support guy. He started as Seeker, but since I gave Grius Seeker, I switched him to Mage early. He's been priest or whatever maria's link's archetype's name is for the whole crypt part early-on, so he kinda stayed like that afterwards, going back to seeker for a bit, and now he's a support class that basically only has buffs (won't post the name to avoid spoilers, just in case, because I really didn't expect a S. Link with this character). I also have Tier 2 unlocked for seeker and healer.
- Strohl is the Physical DPS guy: he's been mainly Brawler, and now the class after Brawler since I just unlocked it, but other than that, just Warrior (with brawler skills transfered, and mostly using that). I gave him Seeker to get a few spells, including some light heal, but I never leveled the archetype itself up. I also gave him a class that debuffs (not posting name to avoid spoilers), but he didn't stay that for long. He also got the gunner class, but... eh. didn't use it that much
- Grius: Seeker. That's it, lol
- Hulkenberg stayed as a Knight. I kinda disliked the class at first, so I put her as a mage for a while since lvl 10 is needed for Knight level 2, but Knight's been really useful against big bosses in the end. I unlocked its tier 2, but went back to mage and unlocked its tier 2, too. so she's both the physical tank and the magical DPS, according to the dungeon. rn, mostly mage DPS. I also gave her the "money" class, but spammed A-exp items to avoid having to spend money on grinding. It was useful ONCE against a mimic, tho, and I think the class isn't THAT bad, just a pain to use because of the resource it uses...
- Next party member (won't post the name to avoid spoilers): for now, still in its starting class, and will SOON (just need another 7 A-Exp points) master it, and unlock the tier 2, so I'll follow that path. I gave him mage and seeker, but just for skill transfer. Not sure what to do with that character in the whole team's build just yet, though.
(I only just arrived at the second BIG city)
Similar, my MC is also a healer&mage so far. However, in the cathedral I saw the amazing synergy abilities of healer+mage, so I made Hulk a healer, instead of the MC, who went mage. And now I think I will have to make her mage as well, since I want the evolution of the knight class.... oh well xD
I only wish it was longer
Tutorial? 20 hours in? Nah, man, that's weak. I didn't even leave the Grand Cathedral until 55 hours in.
