A lot of people ask what the definitive best saber is and it really comes down to how someone plays, I suggest trying different fighting stances and then selecting what you want next. The main things you want to know about your fighting style is: aggressiveness, mobility, defense, and of course general attack.

Make sure to slap, also they got a large update so check it out. Also throwing your saber leaves you open and other players will start to target you for it.
The game seems a bit too heavily inconsistent to really deduce which saber is the best. There were a lot of side/back shots you made that got blocked which would've resulted in a kill had the game obeyed its own rules. I find the biggest issue of the game is the lack of attack and animation dedication. There's very little risk in playing aggressive since you can block during attacks, little reason to slap or pull because you can block while down, little reason to try for side shots since the block hitbox is way too big, little reason to kite during attacks since players can easily rotate to face you. The only attack in the game that has ANY drawback is the lightsaber throw, which doesn't even 1-tap or have good range for an attack that leaves you completely defenseless.
This video is amazing, so perfectly edited and so to the point im hoping to see more gameplay of saber showdown theres not many videos like these out there.
I'll preface by saying: THIS IS MY OPINION AND PERSPECTIVE. I would say Duals are a cheese weapon. Staff feels more rewarding. Duals drains significantly more Stamina than Staff does, and by holding 'block' while you swing, you can prevent being knocked while in combat. Because the hitbox is so LARGE, it's nearly impossible to miss. Meanwhile, Staff is much more defense oriented. While it looks MEGA flashy with Its swings, it swings surprisingly slower than first glance. Staff (I would say) is much better at 'yawing.' Source: 2.7k KOs w/ Staff as main weapon.
I own neither weapons and sorry but I misunderstood some words there. It seems you favor the staff over dual, but which one do you this is objectively better? If there is one.

@@blank4142 So, the new update kinda broke the meta. Originally Staff would've been my first rec, but now Crossguard with Cyan Form is cracked. Honestly, save your money. While both Staff and Duals are great, they're really only intimidating to newer players.

ha lol, Though dual has some pros and some cons, it has an op radius, and its super fast but at the same time slow. cons are that its somewhat easy to counter, since how slow it is. If someone has an aggressive playstyle your kinda dead. but say its like a 1v1v1v1, theres a big chance your winning. but 1v1s you can die more easier/faster.

(since you already probably bought one) but I'd say staff, the stat points are more better in general. but if you want to farm easy kids, get Dual backhand cause the damage on it is op. Just keep in mind that its very snappy and if you come across a dual or a crossguard user. You'll probably die due to no stam points in dual backhand. Hopefully that answered your question!

depends on what u prefer, personally i find more aggressive form easier to use as you do not need to control you swings as much as with forms like form 5

the number for attack speed is how long the startup of the first attack in the combo is, so duel is faster, does more damage, but has less defense

The only thing important to remember is that skill is an important factor, you dont need an op weapon to be good, you just need reaction speed

I've only been playing for a month or more, so I kinda relate. I miss how simple and easy the game was.
11 kills for staff or 19 kills for dual
Normal, Curved, Crossguard and DarkSaber with Form IV Ataru are the best in my opinion. You don't even need to grind honestly.
I usually use cyan (Form V I believe) with normal, curved. but with darksaber and crossguard I use yellow.
