so the "phobias" that you mentioned seeing on their profiles is part of their original story arc, the nightmare series, which you guys haven't seen yet. scream and boca are the first two parts of their dystopia trilogy, which is a different story arc that focuses on the power that words hold, especially negative ones. the nightmare series is the concept that basically made dreamcatcher what they are today and established their horror concept. they each represent a nightmare and throughout the story arc they themselves are depicted as nightmares. the mvs that are part of the nightmare series are as follows (in order of release): Chase Me (debut) Good Night Fly High (story wise, this was a prequel and an origin story for the nightmares) You and I (this continues the story after Good Night) What Piri (technically the end of the nightmare arc) there is also "Breaking Out" which is a japanese release that is also linked to the end of the nightmare arc (there is a bit of disagreement on whether this comes before or after piri in the story, or whether it is an alternate ending, so I'll leave it up to you to decide for yourselves). additionally, there is Deja Vu, a collaboration with a videogame called King's Raid. it is technically not part of the nightmare arc, but the girls did mention that it was the nightmares travelling to the world of King's Raid, so it's sort of linked. after this comes the dystopia arc, which you've begun reacting to already. For MVs, there are some missing in the list, I don't know if you let them on purpose but they are important for the storyline. You can follow the order of date of release: Chase Me Good Night (a direct follow to Chase Me) Fly High (it is a prequel so often InSomnias request it first but I personally prefer the date of release to see/hear the evolution of their sound/vocals) You and I (please make sure to check the official MV on Happyface entertainment channel) What Piri Breaking Out (their first Japanese release which is considered as an alternate ending to the nightmare storyline) "Deja Vu", "Endless Night" (Japanese) and "RoSE Blue" are MVs normally not linked to any other MV. "Sahara" has no MV but a Special Clip like "Break The Wall". It is also really a must to check "Red Sun" which is a B-side with the choreo created by SuA our Queen Main Dancer. You should also include "Fullmoon" and "Over the Sky" because they are songs for the fans and have videos. It came in 4 versions as well "E+V+I+L". The one you ordered is their latest mini-album (with "Boca") and is spelled "S+H+E+D". We are speculating that the next installment should also have 4 versions forming the last word for this arc. Personally, I think it would be interesting if you do an unboxing video and rate the album packaging. So far, I only have some 2NE1 old albums, all BTS ones since "Wings", the first Blackpink full album and Dreamcatcher ones since "Alone in the City" (I didn't have enough to buy album before this era and I was so sad I could not find previous ones anymore... 😭). Scream and BOCA form part of a new trilogy in Dreamcatcher's world called - DYSTOPIA. Which emphasizes the theme on hate and malicious comments, corrupting the girls, after the rise of idol suicide in the industry in the last few years. They wanted to get out there and send a message. 2021, DC will complete the last episode of the trilogy. Before that, they generally debuted with a concept called Nightmare. It focuses more on Dreamcatcher's journey as well as the stereotypical, dark side of the industry, especially to an unconventional group like Dreamcatcher that's trying to get out there and break the mold. Along the way, DC has also done 2 game collabs - Deja Vu and ROSE Blue. I watched Boca before Scream too. Then when I found out the order I went Scream then Boca. Just like with the Nightmare era.. I had watched them out of order at first, but then watched them in release order- Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri. I also watched it starting with Fly High and ending with Piri in what I call Story order. As far as I know, their phobias/nightmares only applied to their first 6 MVs aka Nightmare Era. The Nightmare Era is not connected to the Dystopia Trilogy or any of their Game/anime collabs.
I honestly have been loving your dreamcatcher reactions. I think doing their videos in short videos might work better but it's totally up to you guys. Also Dreamcatcher has some crazy range in terms of genres in their music. I highly recommend watching the special clips of their B-sides such as "7th July", "Red Sun", "Black and White" and basically all their B-sides are insanely good and can stand on their own. Okay, big comment since DC have big content: For MVs, they divided their concepts: - From Chase me to Piri (+ Breaking Out), there's the nightmare concept. The order would be: Chase Me - Goodnight - Fly High (Prequel to the story) - You and I - What - Piri, with Breaking Out as an 'alternative' ending (it's a Japanese release, so it's on ponycanyon channel). I wouldn't recommend skipping any of them nor changing the order, since they follow a story - Then you have Deja Vu and R.o.S.E Blue as stories apart. They were collabs with games, and it doesn't matter the order. Endless Night is their second Japanese release, also an stand alone. - Finally, the new arc is Dystopia, a trilogy that starts with Scream, continues with Boca and still hasn't reach the final part. You already watched them, but I recommend to also watch the Story Spoiler to understand it better For b-sides, I would start with their fan dedicated songs Full Moon, Over the Sky and Dear. Then, whatever order you like, although most somnies like listening parties because even their Intros are amazing and that way you don't lose anything, and since a lot of their b-sides have Special Clip you can do some of them at the same time And rather than their Vlog content, I recommend start with their Between Dreamcatcher and Me series. They're mini videos that make an interesting interview. Also, once you finished b-sides, 'The Ultimate 2020 Dreamcatcher Guide' by KraayJay is the other one to go guide to know them better The order should be the one you find most comfortable with, some do all their titles first with dance practices, some do listening parties including their titles, some alternate with guides, some start with guides. I commented this on another reaction so icymi, as you now know SCREAM and BOCA are related. They're about online bullying and hate comments. DEJA VU (personal fave) and ROSE BLUE are collabs with mobile games so they're standalone stories based on those games. Many people react to these two before they get into the Nightmare arc, which is their first 6 MVs and it is where they represent Nightmares or fears. The MVs are: Chase Me > Good Night > Fly High > You and I > What > PIRI (this is the order of release. some recommend watching Fly High first as it is the prequel but I'm not one of those ppl lol) In regards to the guide, I think it was a good intro to the members and doesn't have a lot of spoilers like other guides that might be more complete. plus, if you pair it up with Dodging Disbandment you'll be set. If you want to know the members even better I recommend the 'This is...' series by InsomnicSY - starting with This is Jiu and ending with This is Dreamcatcher. Finally, if you're interested in their albums you should know that all albums except the ones released this year are sold out and can be REALLY expensive. We're talking $100 to $200 used. So if you're interested get Dystopia 1 and 2 asap. For Lose Myself I recommend the S version as it has a big photobook with all the concepts included in the other album versions.
You should go through the nightmare ark by order to the story line so its basically Chase me Good night Fly high(prequel) You and i What Piri Breaking out (japanese release) If i remember corret this is how the nightmare ark goes for the story line The nightmare ark consists of the girls getting cursed by a spider in fly high(prequel) and then turning into nightmares each member represents a different nightmare. Chase me and good night basically tell the story of how the girls are trapped in the nightmare world and how the hunter(the guy in the mv) finds out about the girls when he shouldnt have and try to investigate them which turns into the girls doing mind tricks to the guy and playing with them. Good night continues the story and as the guy investigates the book that the girls information is written on the girls figure out a way to escape. They take the book back and burn the pages to free themselves and traps the hunter inside the mirror which is a representation of the nightmare world. You and i continues the story by telling how the girls escaped and opened a photo booth store type thing and they hunt down and go into dreams of people who come and take pictures there, then the spider lady shows up and curses and traps yoohyeon again cause she burned the spider in fly high (that shows that she also has a dark side which explains the black goo on the mirror and that flows from the flute in piri). "What" is some what confusing cause it tells the story of how the girls have been neither dead of alive and been living like immortals for years and now they are in the modern era which explains the city(alone in the city is the album name). The girls are separated there and are still confused by everything. They try to find each other and get back together in what. Piri is when the girls finally say we can stay together and we are not afraid anymore. They blow the flute to wake themselves up from this nightmare which is a thing of culture which i forgot which one my apologies. They finally find eachother and stick together. Breaking out is a japanese release that is separate from the nightmare ark but its basically the end of the ark as well. In breaking out the girls are together in this big white box filled with red ropes and that represents faith in asia i believe. At the en they figure out that this is their faith and finally reach eachother and stick together. Hope i didnt spoil much for you guys i just wanted to clear out the story cause i didnt want yall to be confused. 🥰
The DEBUT CONCEPT was about each member representing a NIGHTMARE. You can see all of them acting it out in the CHASE ME M/V. The one guy in their videos is the NIGHTMARE HUNTER, who was chasing em down. But now they are kinda changing to a more modern concept so it's hard to still see the nightmare elements. Also I would suggest only reacting to videos related to each other in one upload and then upload several of em.
since you guys are new to them, i will tell you what i know about the nightmare.. so you guys start reacting to them in Dystopia era (Boca and Scream). before Dystopia era, there is Nightmare era. so the nightmares you see in their profile is actually their roles in the Nightmare era.
Under any other circumstance I'm normally opposed to recommending extra content such as blink diaries and the different off topic lives of idols but in dreamcatcher there are certain video like the "we all lie" video (try not to get emotional on that one) and many others that can play into story line narrative thought I should mention that and becarful it's easy to get obsessed with them and they're fandom borders on a cult😂just joking insomniacs. The full first album "Dystopia: The Tree Of Language" is getting difficult to get (it was the album released with "Scream"). It came in 4 versions as well "E+V+I+L". The one you ordered is their latest mini-album (with "Boca") and is spelled "S+H+E+D". We are speculating that the next installment should also have 4 versions forming the last word for this arc.
Personally, I think it would be interesting if you do an unboxing video and rate the album packaging. So far, I only have some 2NE1 old albums, all BTS ones since "Wings", the first Blackpink full album and Dreamcatcher ones since "Alone in the City" (I didn't have enough to buy album before this era and I was so sad I could not find previous ones anymore... 😭). IMHO, DC albums are the most rewarding ones.

@@DifferentlyAlike There is no official light stick yet but there has been one that was given as part of special order for their albums. I believe it was for their deja vu album. That is the only light stick that I know of because I have one.

Scream and BOCA form part of a new trilogy in Dreamcatcher's world called - DYSTOPIA. Which emphasizes the theme on hate and malicious comments, corrupting the girls, after the rise of idol suicide in the industry in the last few years. They wanted to get out there and send a message. 2021, DC will complete the last episode of the trilogy.
Before that, they generally debuted with a concept called Nightmare. It focuses more on Dreamcatcher's journey as well as the stereotypical, dark side of the industry, especially to an unconventional group like Dreamcatcher that's trying to get out there and break the mold.
Along the way, DC has also done 2 game collabs - Deja Vu and ROSE Blue. Which aren't part of the storyline but still feature Dreamcatcher's unique style and take on the fantasy world and portraying various game characters.

I watched Boca before Scream too. Then when I found out the order I went Scream then Boca. Just like with the Nightmare era.. I had watched them out of order at first, but then watched them in release order- Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri. I also watched it starting with Fly High and ending with Piri in what I call Story order. As far as I know, their phobias/nightmares only applied to their first 6 MVs aka Nightmare Era. The Nightmare Era is not connected to the Dystopia Trilogy or any of their Game/anime collabs.
I honestly have been loving your dreamcatcher reactions. I think doing their videos in short videos might work better but it's totally up to you guys. Also Dreamcatcher has some crazy range in terms of genres in their music. I highly recommend watching the special clips of their B-sides such as "7th July", "Red Sun", "Black and White" and basically all their B-sides are insanely good and can stand on their own. Okay, big comment since DC have big content:
For MVs, they divided their concepts:
- From Chase me to Piri (+ Breaking Out), there's the nightmare concept. The order would be: Chase Me - Goodnight - Fly High (Prequel to the story) - You and I - What - Piri, with Breaking Out as an 'alternative' ending (it's a Japanese release, so it's on ponycanyon channel). I wouldn't recommend skipping any of them nor changing the order, since they follow a story
- Then you have Deja Vu and R.o.S.E Blue as stories apart. They were collabs with games, and it doesn't matter the order. Endless Night is their second Japanese release, also an stand alone.
- Finally, the new arc is Dystopia, a trilogy that starts with Scream, continues with Boca and still hasn't reach the final part. You already watched them, but I recommend to also watch the Story Spoiler to understand it better
For b-sides, I would start with their fan dedicated songs Full Moon, Over the Sky and Dear. Then, whatever order you like, although most somnies like listening parties because even their Intros are amazing and that way you don't lose anything, and since a lot of their b-sides have Special Clip you can do some of them at the same time
And rather than their Vlog content, I recommend start with their Between Dreamcatcher and Me series. They're mini videos that make an interesting interview. Also, once you finished b-sides, 'The Ultimate 2020 Dreamcatcher Guide' by KraayJay is the other one to go guide to know them better
The order should be the one you find most comfortable with, some do all their titles first with dance practices, some do listening parties including their titles, some alternate with guides, some start with guides. If you want to fall into the black hole that is DC, Insomnias (somnias or somnies affectionately) will jump in with you, so do as you please. And don't worry about long videos, we're really used to them 😁
Also, please don't forget covers, Special Clips and dance practices. DC are known for being great dancers (one of the most synchronized groups with hard and powerful choreographies) and queens of covers. But covers maybe later, since it would be too much content to handle when you just start

Somehow, their visuals capture that dream-nightmare thing we all have inside us. Honestly, who among us would not wear one of these outfits (or from Boca) if we had the chance? Just for examples...
I commented this on another reaction so icymi, as you now know SCREAM and BOCA are related. They're about online bullying and hate comments.
DEJA VU (personal fave) and ROSE BLUE are collabs with mobile games so they're standalone stories based on those games. Many people react to these two before they get into the Nightmare arc, which is their first 6 MVs and it is where they represent Nightmares or fears.
The MVs are: Chase Me > Good Night > Fly High > You and I > What > PIRI (this is the order of release. some recommend watching Fly High first as it is the prequel but I'm not one of those ppl lol)
In regards to the guide, I think it was a good intro to the members and doesn't have a lot of spoilers like other guides that might be more complete. plus, if you pair it up with Dodging Disbandment you'll be set. If you want to know the members even better I recommend the 'This is...' series by InsomnicSY - starting with This is Jiu and ending with This is Dreamcatcher.
Finally, if you're interested in their albums you should know that all albums except the ones released this year are sold out and can be REALLY expensive. We're talking $100 to $200 used. So if you're interested get Dystopia 1 and 2 asap. For Lose Myself I recommend the S version as it has a big photobook with all the concepts included in the other album versions.

If i remember corret this is how the nightmare ark goes for the story line
The nightmare ark consists of the girls getting cursed by a spider in fly high(prequel) and then turning into nightmares each member represents a different nightmare. Chase me and good night basically tell the story of how the girls are trapped in the nightmare world and how the hunter(the guy in the mv) finds out about the girls when he shouldnt have and try to investigate them which turns into the girls doing mind tricks to the guy and playing with them. Good night continues the story and as the guy investigates the book that the girls information is written on the girls figure out a way to escape. They take the book back and burn the pages to free themselves and traps the hunter inside the mirror which is a representation of the nightmare world. You and i continues the story by telling how the girls escaped and opened a photo booth store type thing and they hunt down and go into dreams of people who come and take pictures there, then the spider lady shows up and curses and traps yoohyeon again cause she burned the spider in fly high (that shows that she also has a dark side which explains the black goo on the mirror and that flows from the flute in piri). "What" is some what confusing cause it tells the story of how the girls have been neither dead of alive and been living like immortals for years and now they are in the modern era which explains the city(alone in the city is the album name). The girls are separated there and are still confused by everything. They try to find each other and get back together in what. Piri is when the girls finally say we can stay together and we are not afraid anymore. They blow the flute to wake themselves up from this nightmare which is a thing of culture which i forgot which one my apologies. They finally find eachother and stick together. Breaking out is a japanese release that is separate from the nightmare ark but its basically the end of the ark as well. In breaking out the girls are together in this big white box filled with red ropes and that represents faith in asia i believe. At the en they figure out that this is their faith and finally reach eachother and stick together.
Hope i didnt spoil much for you guys i just wanted to clear out the story cause i didnt want yall to be confused. 🥰
The DEBUT CONCEPT was about each member representing a NIGHTMARE. You can see all of them acting it out in the CHASE ME M/V. The one guy in their videos is the NIGHTMARE HUNTER, who was chasing em down.
But now they are kinda changing to a more modern concept so it's hard to still see the nightmare elements.
Also I would suggest only reacting to videos related to each other in one upload and then upload several of em.

Under any other circumstance I'm normally opposed to recommending extra content such as blink diaries and the different off topic lives of idols but in dreamcatcher there are certain video like the "we all lie" video (try not to get emotional on that one) and many others that can play into story line narrative thought I should mention that and becarful it's easy to get obsessed with them and they're fandom borders on a cult😂just joking insomniacs.
