@@LunatiqHigh I actually think that the nasty filter is off on the video (original part). It's kinda sunny, I'm no expert at this but I feel the weight of the rockport and its industrial part too.
Does anyone know if you are able to directly add the mods with the RTX Remix program, or do you have to look for them online download them and then play? Tbh, its cool but what I thought this did, which I hope occurs in the future with future tech, is that the graphics, no mods needed, directly where improved with the Ai data from future frame generation and data used to train DLSS 3~. Adding mods, although great, is not ideal with the capabilities of these graphics cards. Or... are these the limit of these cards...?
@@doktoroptimoStop calling it that. Also whether you like it or not it was original artistoc intent for the game. All i would do is make it optional toggle like on PC if it were to be remastered. It still doesnt look like the RTX mess on the right with it off tho.
I think you could totally configure it to your own taste, this is just an example of what can be done with the tool, it's just the beginning but we will see different configurations as time passes and the remix community gets bigger
Honestly was hyped to see this but the only improvement is the car model. The old style is removed with RTX remix. If it can keep the stylised look with better lighting and models, I think we'll be onto a winner but for now the original is far better
Yeah, overblown sky, color grading shifted from sepia to blue... I understand the creator's excitement that it's working, but so far it's not looking great. Sorry.
I dont understand why people Say it looks terrible. I am a huge fan of mw05, and for me the rtx remix looks pretty nice, yes there is no longer the original yellow filter of the game. But it looks really good with just a few problems like the missing lightning in the tunnels and the car that duplicate itself behind her, but otherwise, it's really nice ^^
Also, people who comment on "original looks better": I think its for many many factors. From the ongoing work that wasn't finished on the RTX version to the nostalgic feeling that this game have in most of us. We tend to remember stuff better than they actually are. And not that the Original isn't good. But it DOES definitely have that 2000's feeling. For me, it aged quite bad. As the effects reminds too much the MTV clips from its time, to the tryout of being "too cool for school!" haha. The problem is that the RTX mod is not taking on consideration of post processing effects such as i.e: Color correction, saturation, tint, HUE, and the cherry on top: The overwhelming bloom that the original have.
If anyone’s saying the rtx is trash remember the game is from 2005 and its huge big step that the game is having some high graphics and it would be better if the mod get updates time by time
Too much ghosting. Reflections on the car windows has become transparent. No lighting in tunnels. The nostalgic green hue has disappeared and the game looks like a bright sunny day. I don't know if motion blur is gone because the trees look so blocky compared to original. We didn't get to see any nitrous action. Honestly waiting for the official remaster next year. Hopefully worth the wait.
You can tell the game geometry was developed in a time when we were discussing ray tracing the same was people in the 1960's were discussing AI robots. This game is 20 years old by the way.
This is totally uncanny valley situation, realistic lighting does not look good when the other assets are low resolution and low geometry. The Nature assets are flat, and doesn't react to the ray tracing. Car reflections on the street looks off, and stuterry. The original version might look outdated, but the final result works because everything is cohesive within that technology. The Filter, the color (the motion blur even though is for hiding a lot of imperfections) works as a final package.
@@Chubby_Lemon Unless it's radically changed, I don't think it will look much better. I appreciate the effort it might take, it just doesn't seem to be worth the effort for what really just looks like a filter.

If we wait and shout for EA and Criterion to make remake or remaster for golden era of Black Box NFS, it's better if we make it ourself, sharpen all the details and better than originals. Whole lot better than just complain and sits around, being a keyboard warrior, type this and that without giving true support for other people works. Come on NFSfan, i mean hardcore fans, veteran and newbie. Show some appreciation and thanks, don't forget to be grateful with what we have for now. The smear created by the motion blur detected by the RTX and duplicating the car made the game looks quite weird. I do wonder if there's any way to fix the iteration of post processing effects that was working with "practical" effects on screen
The road is way too bright in the remix. The fog is almost completely gone. It would have looked better with the gamma/brightness turned down a bit, and a bit less sharpness to be honest.
I think the goal of polishing it is good! but what's happened is the art style has been changed and the je ne sais quoi of the original game has been lost :(

I prefer the moody color pallet of the original, it adds atmosphere and character to Rockport.
