I have the PD 1701 V3 stock standard black dial example. Also it’s got AR blue which is fantastic in bright sunlight. So very legible. I baulked hard at the moonswatch as the movement is non serviceable and randomly unreliable. IMO it’s a waste of bloody good money. Brilliant marketing strategy by omega and swatch though. The PD’s have a proven reliable seiko movement. I’d get the red sapphire bezel like yours but there is no date window.. I’ll wait and see if they offer that option down the track. It can’t be too hard to simply punch a hole in the dial. So far my PD homage speedy watch is keeping very accurate time and it looks great on the included nato. You’re right, that nato on the red clashes hard, quite jarring to look at. IMO. Enjoyed your review! Cheers
@@mikeellis4345 I didn't know about the non-serviceable nature of the Moonswatch movement. Glad I do now. I'll admit I do have some bias with date windows and I really wished PD kept their Speedy homage theme going and kept it with this Alaska project, especially as a white cutout would still blend in nicely. I have three of these and they are water resistant to 90m, I have tested that with my compressor which makes up to 9bars. held under 9bar air pressure for 30min, then dipped into the water and released the pressure. two were tight from the start one had some glue-like stuff on one of the pusher o-rings. After that was cleaned the watch was also sealed.

A mission to the Sun homage would be amazing, especially if they keep with the theme of this PD homage and throw on a sapphire bezel. Hopefully if this is an indicator it'll only be a matter of time...
@@troppotime9179 for me the one looks like the moonswatch is enough, hard to see yellow them watches, its always blue and greens...maybe because its close to gold...only tiffanys (homage) caught my eyes, im looking for the benyar 5185, but hoping pagani made the mission to sun on this they already have a white bezzel on their pale-blue version(uranus)...
Yikes. Was it the same model as this PD? This one is rated at 100m and I did a bit of a water torture test on it (immersed in glass of water for roughly 15 minutes) and it survived. Sorry to hear your about your friend's piece. There may have been other factors at play for their Pagani (i.e. crown loose, submerged for longer or deeper, vigorous activity or a sad case of poor QC).

No worries. Its not the real thing but its hard to say No when it offers strong specs for so little money. And like any homage it gives you a chance to try it and see whether it suits you and if you want spend top dollar to get the genuine article.
It's not a "fake" it's a homage. It says Pagani on the dial, and nothing can change that. Calling this a fake is like calling blue jeans that aren't Levi's a "fake"

This watch is far superior to a moon swatch!
Haven't owned a MoonSwatch to compare it with, but just reading the price tags and specs. convinced me the PD would be a better buy.

is it water proof? i had a friend who bought a brand new pagani and it got water inside when he used it in the swimming pool

No, objectively better than any mechanical, with the sweep of a mechanical. This is a much much better movement.
