What a nice, relaxing video!!! I was one of the kids that were discouraged at school. Almost 40 years later, I started recovering from that. Because I always WANTED to draw and paint!!! Now I‘ve been doing this for 3,5 years and I‘m still more or less producing kids paintings and drawings, but since I was stopped at a very Young age, there is still hope 😉-and if not -who cares!!! I enjoy myself
I‘m going to watch this video again now. 😊

Thank you Vani. I’m happy that the video left an impression on you and that it’s helping you to get out there and just draw! Because it >is< fun, and it’s such a good way of actively looking at the world. The Betty Edwards book I mentioned, “Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain” is a fantastic resource for learning how to draw. I highly recommend it. I hope you continue your journey with drawing.

Thank you for video of so nice scenes! As for the equipment for sketching on a go, I d add a couple of paper clips as well - if you use clips your surface would always be flat, even with the strongest wind! Another thing - i d recommend to use the cheapest office paper - A4, or A5 format - just bend 3-4 pages x3-4 times, add the lightest cardboad for a cover, using thin round elastics to keep paper pages together. Why this method instead of more expensive sketchbooks? Because you never know when you ll create a masterpiece☺☺, and with the cheapest paper all your blocks would be easily removed, you will feel much more" free"( without that blank page fear) to express yourself, the paper is cheap, the paper could be remove really easily!

      Hi Olle,
Your suggestion to use clips makes a lot of sense. Of course you need something to keep the paper flat and from blowing around in the wind! Thanks for bringing that up.
I’m a little more skeptical about using the cheap paper. I completely agree with that it frees you up to draw anything without worrying about making a mistake and wasting precious (and expensive) high quality paper, but at the same time you have problems with the paper buckling badly from washes, or the ink bleeding through to the back of the paper or bleeding sideways within the paper surface, or of pen tips catching on the rough and unrefined paper surface. I guess there are good points and bad points about every type of paper you use.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my little channel! There’s still a long way to go until I get it to be as well-done as yours, but I hope to learn steadily over this year. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

I'm glad you liked it! I hope it was of some use to you, and that you might try drawing some day. Your suggestions for possibly dividing the video in two is a good one. Maybe two shorter videos might make it all easier to watch through. Thanks for watching it!

Thanks, Rafael! I’m glad you liked it. I’m still getting the hang of making videos and hope I do justice to showing what I can about the topics I enjoy.
Poland is a place I’ve long wanted to visit. When I have a chance to get to Eastern Europe, I’ll definitely visit Poland.

Hello Sarah. Those are the Montbell Chameece Fingerless Gloves. Montebello is a Japanese outdoor company, but they do have an online store in the States, and you can buy a lot of their equipment around the world. Here is a link to the online Japanese store version of the women's glove:

@@sarahnoda Please make sure to check with the Japanese embassy before making plans to visit Japan. Japan has had a very strict lockdown for more than two years now, with the border closed to all travelers except Japanese citizens and permanent residents. At the moment there are no signs that Japan will open the border any time soon. It will be almost impossible for you to get into the country for the time being.

I'm aware of this, we have already consulted with the embassy and our visit is approved.

Do you want to get hand oil on page?... don’t the sketch books say all that?
