What Tate did is without a doubt horrible, and being worried about something like a relative being manipulated is such a justified fear when people act like this. To tell someone their feelings are invalid because they don't share your views and then point someone to an internet show to base your beliefs on is just lacking basic awareness. If you need Andrew Tate or The Black Phillip Show to feed you your beliefs and tell you what you should think, then you have become the sheep you were trying to avoid being. I agree, except I think he's even worse; I think he's a psychopath, not a narcissist. The tone of his manipulation feels different; from what I've seen, the narcissist's manipulation is personal, its about them, their emotional comfort and control, as driven by their hidden insecurity and crippling low self esteem that drives their over compensation in their appearance of positive self esteem and self assurance. Tate is far colder, far more clinical, it's a sport and a business for him, it's not personal at all, and seems to be his normal mode of operation, which is a mark of a psychopath. Tate is also confident and charismatic, also standard for psychopaths, and from what I have seen so far seems to lack the subtle insecure/socially anxious micro tells I've seen from narcissists. He's a huge risktaker talking about all this so openly, and in doing lot of anything he's ever done. And he has absolutely no empathy nor apparent emotional connection to others or he would not be doing this to women at all. So, yeah, I'm thinking psychopath.

I have noticed hints of insecurity in him, though, that he quickly conceals, but maybe I misinterpreted it and that is him trying quickly to cover his tracks and appear 'normal'. Certainly the ways he has been accused of mistreating women (if the accounts are true) would point to psychopathy. I find it very concerning that Candace Owen's and others are not seeing through it (or maybe they are) and giving him a platform. However, I think the truth will come to light.

The problem with psychopaths is manipulation is a life long thing for them - even the more moral ones will use it, in conjunction with their reasoned instead of emotional understanding of morality, to help others as well as themselves if they see fit to (or at least do what they think is helpful). I think a lot of people are deceived by him as well. Not saying that what you said isn't true. I started to pay a little more attention to him when the charges came out, but not much. I didn't know what to think of him or the charges, but I also didn't really care. So I never googled him. Never looked into it. I didn't ever defend him because I didn't really know anything about him. Not everyone choses to remain silent about something they don't understand. Many people on all sides of political and cultural stuff do the exact opposite. As someone who volunteers to help DV victims, I can assure you many victims have strong and loving parents. It can and does happen to anyone. Abusers are skilled manipulators and gaslighters. They make you question your own sanity, break you down to nothing, and you lose yourself. It takes a victim an average of 7 times of leaving before they finally leave for good. Many times, they never make it out or they get killed trying to.

@@pa5730 Firstly, you must recognize the signs someone you love is being abused. They will isolate them from everyone who cares about them. If suddenly your loved one is never answering you, it's a red flag. You need to tell them privately before the isolation gets too bad if there's ever a problem to send a code word. But mostly this falls on our very broken justice system. They do not take victims seriously enough until they're in the grave. It's extremely hard to even get a restraining order, and most abusers walk right through them
