You had at me at using the LTS release. My biggest hurdle in learning Blender has been that the versions and therefore tutorials evolving out from under me.

Your website is so great !!! And yours tutorials too of course !!!
As a CGCookie member, I’ve worked through most of the older Learning Flow: The Fundamentals. It is weird that I’m excited to do it all over again with the new series?
I'm glad you enjoyed those courses! To be clear, CORE is the next iteration of CGC's trademark Fundamentals courses. Therefore some core courses are essentially re-records of their predecessors. For example, my Fundamentals of Digital Sculpting course. Since the curriculum has 9 years of successfully teaching students and being informed by feedback, I opted to keep the same outline, updating tools and features according to 4.2. Every video is recorded new. Other courses are significantly different from their predecessors where instructors evolved the curriculum as they saw fit.

Fair use is certainly a grey area but as an educational company we believe our use of the avenger image fits the criteria. Do you think it doesn’t fit fair use doctrine?
@@khtrammell Didn't notice the avengers, more of the john travolta looking around. You are putting celebrity actual likeness in a company advert. i don't think its a fair use because: a) it's an advertising movie review or transformational or other stuff, maybe. but since you yourself said it is grey, best not do for a company actual advertising. frankly, i have notice this since 2012 I think, where even news item (remember when newspaper allow users to post "blog/news" to capitalize on user generated content (like social media now) and there is meme gif for even news item at every paragraph. and then i saw meme gif at professional presentation where there is a meme gif at the end of each topic of the ppt, and the speaker pause for a 5 second, so people could laugh (nobody did). no need to do this for an advertising for a company actual product (unless you pay to use the celebrity likeness). my 2 cent.
@@RealFableFox I appreciate the input! So you don’t think cropping out JT and using him to convey “how do I know which training to choose” is transformative? Indeed we have occasionally used memes in our videos for many years and have yet to experience a copyright strike. But like we tell ourselves, no one really knows for sure until they’re taken to court and win. That reality keeps us careful to ensure any meme/copyrighted clip is used in a very small capacity and in accordance with fair use guidelines.
No guys You did not do this I mean Jonathan lamphel should be the ironman and our kent is should be the captain America And his name is kent right??? Why does this sound oddly familiar?? Naaah that is nuts Ill go read my daily planet, you know my city Metropolis is going crazy these days atleast it is not bad as Gotham
In many ways, you can compare PC capability for Blender as you would for gaming. Laptops are generally not recommended for modern gaming / Blender unless you have a high-end gaming PC, especially rendering. Like laptops can handle simple games fine, laptops can handle simpler Blender tasks as well. If you want to use Blender or any 3D app long term, you'll want to invest in a mid-to-high end PC with a capable graphic card.
This is so hype! Awesome to be a part of this and I can't wait to see all the work that gets inspired by these amazing courses. Happy Blending y'all!
What I am impressed with the courses of CG Cookie is they always bring us the course's updates whenever there is a new Blender version
I can't wait to get started. Thanks folks.
Looking fantastic, I'm sure it is fully packed with great value and fun projects. Great job everyone involved! ~Zach 🥳

Cg cookie was immensely helpful learning blender. A core training program with the most recent version of blender is the one thing it lacked
Cheers, Paul! 🍻

Not at all, we're right there with you. These should be fun! - Wes
Ah damn. It was on sale for $99 yesterday.
This looks interesting but going to wait until it goes back on sale.
@espirite CORE is currently 25% off during the Blender Market Summer Sale through Sunday, Aug 25.
Thanks for the heads up!!
Thanks a lot for sharing🔥🔥
I did the mesh modeling and digital sculpting courses before. Great courses! Are they different or is it just updated to v4.2?

regarding the actor/meme at 1 minutes 4 second ish. It's one thing if a person uses it as a meme, but as a company, did you pay for the image use?

Hello CG, I want to ask you. My laptop has not external graphics card eg,gtx and rtx. Without gpu, can I use Blender for long term?
