You have a thousand complements from me as to your sticking to this... still love the old ratchet style trunk/boot lift... holder upper thingie... as in words just don't fit this old mans mouth tonight. I been checking out the many new channels that have a thousand or less subscribers and seen a fellow struggling with a shoebox "refurbish" using this one very lightly. I have been on his butt to watch how to fix some what I call easy fix patches as you really did open my head with ideas... including my working my landladies old 56 international jubilee model truck she uses for a planter. It was left behind when my niece moved to Hawaii. My brother was going to just toss into scrap and then it got past him when I literally just drug it out into the back of our homestead... he was selling and so when he walked the new folk in to show them, I tried to lead them away from the spot but no way hoser.. he insists on going and finds it, cusses me but the young girl, my now landlady says "I LOVE IT" and so it stayed.... I now am trying to convince her that I can teach her how to do many of the simple repairs and if its running and driving with some things I can't do or teach.... she doesn't look at the bank book.... Ya, they have money they forgot and offered to take me to los vagus for the John Thorogood concert !!! I told her that I have a big gambling habit, best I not go and her words were, If you can empty just one of our bank accounts, consider it a favor! Brent, I do not have a gambling habit as I cured myself of that quick like a hiccup. I am in so much pain that I live on a pain pump... I don't have to tell you what they put in the damn thing but if you never did drugs and you were a elephant... it would knock ya on the "Booty". I just don't want to be around people anymore.... I am seventy three with nothing to offer anyone but maybe some body parts when I tip over some little one can see again... let them start now! I have got her husbands permission to spend as well and get her into fixing old rigs up. I got the engine in their jet boat going.. the 5.3 ls engine.... watching your videos got me in the ball game and figured out why no start in a quickness. Dang and anyway this fellow finally says, I am subscribed to his channel but I hate welding! He is on the east coast or it would be mine as he wants 1500 hundred for a V8 two door nineteen fifty model... bad floors and rockers but nothing that requires to all be removed as its just around the mounts.... he has brand new mounts in the packages plus some other chinese iem stuff and all for the fifteen hundred seems to me if ya like them, a fair enough deal. I won't probably follow him anymore if he is not a true builder but just a whiner.... heck, as alway Brent, Ester, Pablo, and any I missed.. best wishes. PS.. I like the choice of "cereal boxes" for pattern work

I loved welding aluminum years ago. Made lots of pure straight welds. Not stopping was one of the keys for me. Also really clean welds. Kind of like doing stainless. I very seldom used filler rods. Let the thick clean aluminum fill in unless I was tigging. Does beautiful jobs. But that’s me. I love showing off dimes!!!! 😁😆🥸yeah I’m old. 👍👍👍👍👍

Aluminum is the best material for a gas tank....hands down. But I've been told by many welders I know it's a very difficult material to work with. Kudos to you for the persistence. Looks like the tank is gonna work really well. Look forward to seeing the back of the car come together. Be safe and stay well.

Brent I know you were saying that building the fuel tank out of aluminum was a big pain in the butt, but one nice thing to consider is if the car ever has to sit for a few months with fuel in it the tank won't rust inside. So all your hard work was worth the effort. This car is turning out to be one cool ride, I can't wait to see it done. Watching your videos really shows just how much it takes to build a complete one off car like this. I find it very amazing how fast you get things done, and still manage to work a full time job, plues edit your own videos. It's just crazy man!! As always Awesome conent. Keep up the good and hard work!!!!

After looking at where the gas tank landed, and kind of where your compressor and air tank setup will be. I have one thing to say, "bootlegger's floor". From 1920 until today, Bootleggers will try to hide their illegal booze. Yes, they still have bootleggers in the woods of Southeastern United States. More so in the Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Anyway finish up the current floor over the gas tank, and closing up all of the open gabs between the floor and the body. Then once you have everything mounted where you think it should go. Think about a false floor to go over your compressor and air tank set. This will allow more space in the trunk for tools and suitcases. Just a thought.
