In this property education video, Simon Zutshi, author of Property Magic, founder of the property investors network (pin), and successful property investor since 1995 shares his 8 Questions to ask for getting the best Property Deals from Agents.
Simon begins by explaining how a lot of people involved with property investment in the UK are sourcing property deals by going to an Estate Agent. He stresses why you need to know what to ask a Real Estate Agent and the Estate Agent Tips he is going to share, as they will be unaware of creative property strategies such as BMV deals or a Purchase Lease Option.
These questions on how to get deals from Estate Agents will allow you to see if the owner of the property is a Motivated Seller. Getting an Estate Agent in the UK on your side will then result in Property Sourcing Made Easy, as you will be the first to hear about the Property Deals with potential.
Examples of Simon’s 8 Questions to Ask Real Estate Agents include ‘Do you have any properties where you’re not the only Agent selling it?’ & ‘Are there any sellers who repeatedly contact the office?’ Such questions will allow you to achieve the best deals from Estate Agents and can offer you win-win solutions when it comes to Deal Sourcing Property.
These 8 Questions to Ask Real Estate Agents When Buying are taken from Simon’s Property Magic podcast available to listen on iTunes, Spotify & Google Play. Being able to source Property Deals in the UK is essential if you want to be successful in UK Real Estate investing.

Another gem for revision, thank you Simon.
Going to first PIN meeting on 4th May.!
Hi Simon,
I already have a mortgage broker,
When contacting estate agents they always want you to speak to their in house mortgage advisor. It seems that if you don't arrange an appointment with them, then you have no chance with getting first dibs on houses that have just gone on the market.if fact they do not even call you back.
If you do not go with the in house advisors is it true that a person who has gone with them to arrange their mortgage will have first preference to properties?
Helpful to have the summary. Thank you, Simon
Thank you Sarah
