I Love Sho, he has done an excellent job and I cannot praise him enough. But damn, Yama B's voice is just so powerful and resonates with me more personally.
Many people are going to hate this comment.... As a vocalist, people don't understand the fact that Sho's vocal technique is actually way way way way way way way harder than Yama-B's because Yama-B sticks very closely to classical techniques, which many (including me) considered to be the very foundation of singing. People will be surprised by how many rock/metal vocalists can easily do classical singing technique while it is very hard the other way around (or they refuse to, because they believe non-classical singing will dAmAge tHeiR vOicE, while most classical singers don't realized many of their voices are already damaged). One requires different techniques like chest-mix, head-mix, and belting, pretty much placing larynx in many different position at different time to adjust texture of the voice to blend with the music. While the other one only requires one single technique to really keep the larynx down, and personally, I feel very strongly that it is actually boring, and that is why as soon as I finished learning the essence of classical singing, I dip out and sing other stuff.
No you're right. I prefer Sho vocals. I'm not musician and english even not my first language to fully understand what you are saying (lol) but I personally think that Sho has incredible voice control he can sing anything. All his songs are so different and beautiful. If we talk about Whisper in the red sky Yama-B wins this battle but only because song was written when he was vocalist of Galneryus and other songs were not really bad but I'm glad that when Sho became the vocalist, their albums became really better, just my opinion :)
The issue is Yama-b's vocals are just too powerful not to choose over Sho. Especially, in power metal scene, I've heard so many vocals like Sho but rarely come across as unique as Yama's.
Yama dan Ono memiliki vocal yang khas mereka semua memang legend J Metal 🤘🤘🤘 Yama suara nya menggelegar dan emang Bahasa Inggrisnya oke Ono suara nya melengking sampai kelangit
Sound wise Yama-B has raw power in his low-mid range - invoking more metal spirit. Sho sounds more delicate and refined - especially presice at each note. It's just like an accurate instrument.
Both are amazing in their field, can´t really decide which one it´s better, I can´t see Yama on something like Angel of Salvation, but with the remake albums they showed us why Yama is Boss, and I am not an old fan, I discovered the band just years ago, forever my fav one
Yama-B and Sho they are like good and evil, totally contrary in vocal question. There's no way to compare, what's left is personal taste. My personal taste is Yama-B, I prefer it but I get a lot of heartache for not having chosen Sho
I like yama b. because thats the singer i originaly heard when i discovered Galneryus, Sho is great , no doubt, hes continued the power, but Yama B's voices was deep and seemed to carry more for the band.
I personally perfer yama-b because it's written for him. Love his vocals. But SHO has way better technique while also trying to add a bit of distortion in some of the parts to make it more close to The Original. Both singers are different but SHO can fit in a lot of styles
ill be honest i just like galneryus recently,so im not biased by yama b so for me both are amazing in their own way,but i think what many people like more about yama b than sho is the "stage presence",yama b stage presence is so strong,he is look like a "center of power metal or metal band in general" compared to sho.
I think sho is better because of his precision and vocal range. Sho can sing precisely in a lot of different styles, he has been in a lot of different bands. He carries the spirit and the fast pace of the songs. Yama b is great too, but he gave up on galneryus and left cuz he couldn’t keep up with syu’s choices to often leave one style of playing behind just to find another inspiration. Yama b made his own band named Gunbridge and I’ve listened to a few songs but their quality of the sound is worse than galneryus’ quality. In my opinion in the end Gunbridge will end up like Rammstein. Made a few great songs, kept the same style and died out. Sho however, will keep galneryus rising and rising and will make them more and more famous!
Sho's voice sounds smooth like velvet, which can be a good thing, but I personally just don't like the way his voice sounds. I won't discredit his skill, I think he's a skilled singer, but to me it just sounds too powerless and annoying. Yama-B has a more aggressive powerful enjoyable-sounding voice IMO.
SHO's natural voice is pretty deep, so his higher Notes dosen't Sound thin. He also sometimes add distortions to fit the Sound of yama-b (which is a very different singer). I Don't know What you're Talking about
Yama-B got full of " Power " singing ... the emotion that really meant to the word he singing ... and I think he did amazing English vocal for Japanese ... He is one of few Power Metal Japanese singer who I understand what word He is singing ... I didn't mean Sho is bad ... he got pretty good higher voice with really great for Japanese lyric ... but no ... not for English ... especially replace the way Yama-B did .... sorry but ... no He couldn't replace him ... Yama-B did great ... back there sorry for Him he is no longer in Galneryus ... I really like Galneryus when Yama-B still in the band .. because most songs are wrote in English I can sing along the songs ... but I understood their situation ... they need to live ... it better to release most song in Japanese lyric and Sho become better (I didn't say Yama-B got bad singing at Japanese either .... He also did great ... Sho and Yama-B just difference style which both of them are good) The greater is ... to see they can still contribute beautiful music to this world ... what ever member will be ... In personally I don't like versus Idea but anyway this clip is more clearly to me that I really like how Yama-B singing in English compared to Sho ... But I think he already did his best anyway.. and that not easy ..
Such a beautiful song... And solo... Obviously I prefer Yama-B, Sho makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable, but to be honest that's not a fair comparison, as this is a Yama's song: I think hearing Yama on Sho's songs like Carry On ua-cam.com/video/B9Ninu4XuUI/v-deo.html or Burn my Heart ua-cam.com/video/oE5yhqMP8zc/v-deo.html would say the final word, I guess we will never know, and that's okay, both are great!
Somehow, "YAMA-B" is like Sonata Arctica's "Tony Kakko", and "SHO" is like ANGRA's "Edu Falaschi" (after Matos).

equally gooodd o_o
can't decide who's better.
but personally, I prefer Sho
They're both good for different reasons but Yama-B is always going to be the original voice of Galneryus.
Angel Sho vs samurai Yama-B hahahah~~
Yama-B of course!
sho is amazing but I prefer Yama b
I prefer yama-b!
both is good in its own way. cant compare
Yama-b is a kind of hard vocal and Sho is a kind of soft vocal. Both are awesome, they've just that difference.
Ono suara nya melengking sampai kelangit
Yoi bro, gue ga banding bandingin mereka... Simplenya, vokalnya punya kekhasan masing2. Lagian sho juga vocal coach
asli sih merinding kalo mereka di duetin langsung
The winner is syu
jajajaja
Yama-B!!!!
Sound wise Yama-B has raw power in his low-mid range - invoking more metal spirit. Sho sounds more delicate and refined - especially presice at each note. It's just like an accurate instrument.
Judas Priest being powerless non-metal spirit? Yama sounding strained or flat destroys his presence & the music.

+Zul Qarnain Abdullah haha, i would if i have time :P
+CoCo Jiang Me too, I'll try to make such a video when I have time as well :D
Sho 💪
Yama B have better voice. But Sho have better control and range. Do one
of them is better than each other? Not really. Theyre quite comparable
gungrave10 I prefer Yama-B,it fits the Symphonic,Neo-Classical and Power traits of the band
I prefer Sho. He fits the symphonic, neo-classical power of the band
Awesome! Can you make one for everlasting?
yamma b
Yama-B.
I like yama b. because thats the singer i originaly heard when i discovered Galneryus, Sho is great , no doubt, hes continued the power, but Yama B's voices was deep and seemed to carry more for the band.
Judas Priest didn't learn from your book.
I personally perfer yama-b because it's written for him. Love his vocals. But SHO has way better technique while also trying to add a bit of distortion in some of the parts to make it more close to The Original. Both singers are different but SHO can fit in a lot of styles
Both are good, and so is me
I preferred Yama b on this version, but do like Across the Rainbow version of Sho.
ill be honest i just like galneryus recently,so im not biased by yama b so for me both are amazing in their own way,but i think what many people like more about yama b than sho is the "stage presence",yama b stage presence is so strong,he is look like a "center of power metal or metal band in general" compared to sho.
Sho
Am I the only one who prefers Sho to Yama-B?
Christopher Agha yes, you’re the harly cuin
No you are not.
I do it
sho rules!!....

Yama B English pronunciation is much clearer and better than Sho.

Yama-b

2010.....more complicated....with sho Galneryus is a real band Progressif...Neo classical.... Power Metal
