Love it. I especially liked the effect of the tiny pieces of cut up ribbon. ReignVermont did something similar with Steam-A-Seam but used a backing fabric and then steam ironed it to make everything hold fast before stitching. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with 😊
The little projects at the end were very clever, indeed! Thank you for sharing your Solvy experience. I have yet to experiment even though it's in my stash;)
Oh my word Sue, this is amazing. I have a couple of balls of that ribbon tape sitting by my bed waiting for inspiration. You have done it again! Thank you. 🌻
Love this. I did something similar years ago, a square piece of fabric, then all sort of bits of fabric, especially shiny bits, organza on top, then free motion sewing on top. Bound the edges with tight zig zag stitch. Made into box bowl type dishes. Very pretty and useful. Enjoy seeing your ideas. ❤😊
It's sticky bc of the Steam a seam. I don't think this is the right use for this stuff. Put the lace, trim and whatever between 2 pieces of solvy and sew over it a couple of times .. then it will be the fabric of our choice.

Thanks for the info! It's a new material to me so still playing 😊 more projects at some time I have no doubt!
Another cool SuzieQmakes idea!!
Nice technique
Fabulous! i really enjoyed watching the process of making the scrappy fabric.
Glad you enjoyed it Lyn, I think it worked well, just a shame about the sticky stuff but that all got covered in the end anyway
You are always full of inspirational ideas Suzie! Love them 😍💕
Thanks so much 😊
What a great idea,love it
Thank you! 😊
Looks so good! And so funny as I was playing with my steam a seam this week too 🤗
Its a new thing to me and still need to play with it more but I loved the 'fabric' I got in the end, not sticky at all thankfully!

You should get it going, I've had mine in stash for years and decided it was time 😁
Yes I have those yarns; no I don't even knit but they are sooo pretty! Loved the end results of these.
Glad you like them! I don't knit either but I can't leave those rolls behind when I see them in the charity shops 😂
Really enjoyed this thank you
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️

I did wonder 😏 the sticking did stop though, but I will find something else instead to do this again, thank for your help
