How new weapons charges for Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh will shake the Kinahan cartel

- Thomas Bomber Kavanagh co-operated with police during an investigation into weapons and their location in Ireland.
The crime boss, serving 21 years in prison for drug dealing, appeared in court on weapon charges but a Judge at Westminster Magistrates Court heard that he led officers to the guns and ammunition. They were discovered in Newry in 2021.
Messages taken from the Encrochat phone hack were also described as forming part of the National Crime Agency case against Kavanagh and two co-conspirators.
The same case involves his son Jack Kavanagh and brother in law Liam Byrne who are both fighting extradition to the UK from Spain.
Nicola is joined by journalist Eamon Dillon to talk about the court revelations which will leave the Kinahan network worried that one of their own may be helping out the police

Definitely mate, don’t know why he had to rip him off when he was virtually his right hand man at the time, it must have pissed him off when Hutch asked for his money, I reckon it was a power thing by Kinahan as if to say “I can do what I want”

@@dean7652 Gary was also getting out of control and thought of himself as the leader between the two because of his family's background. Daniel also never stole the money, Gary gave it to him to get it laundered and Gary wasn't happy with how long it was taking to get back to him, which then started the tension and both parties were ready to kill each other. It just so happened that they got to Gary before he got to them.
@@craigmckinnon2793 yeh I understand that mate but I imagine him stalling over giving your washed million back would be enough to want to clip DK. Kinahan knew exactly what would happen but the fallout from this shone the light on the cartel more than ever.

@@dean7652 100% mate Nobody wins, Daniel will end up in prison for life and the Hutch's lost plenty of relatives. Even tho Gerry was found not guilty recently, the mental side of losing all his family members will never go away.

Probley do about 16 to 18 as long as his new sentence is concurrent as it looks like he’s gny be getting another 15 to 20. He will no doubt be well looked after in jail so will be able to keep his head down. Plenty of cash to throw about
Came here to say the exact same thing. Tariff reductions in England are calculated from a variety of things (plea, speed of plea etc.) And the maximum you can get off is 30% But Bomber won't get anything like that off.

There are cheaper 38 cal 6 shot revolvers go for £4000-£5000+ but the price I hear is ridiculously expensive now for these kind of weapons bought new.
