I just had a "Holy shit I'm old" moment and realized that for a bunch of younger viewers, this is their first exposure to the late 90's/early 00's Tony Hawk zeitgeist. What must it be like, to look back at this through the eyes of one who didn't grow up under it?
@@LeafseasonMagbag oh wow, this was... a long time ago... And I thought I was old back then! What brings you to the lp? You a new watcher? Or you just going through old stuff?
Hell yeah man, I love the feeling. Good times. Made a skate demo for my skateshop with my best friend because of this game, but I never submitted it because I was afraid of having to change my life forever LOL
I will say that skating on the plane would be the greatest act of heroics that day. Sure, It won't do anything to save lives. But god damn will it give everyone hope.
yeah another playthrough of crashing into every possible wall on the map, creating speed by holding the jump button, and miss timed ollies over the same object over and over again. that'll be fun!
There's a few people complaining about Woolie being bad at this game...but he's doing WAY better than I ever did when I played this game how ever many years ago. Maybe its just one of those things where he looks shit to the experienced players, but to people who haven't played in a long time/ever you're doing fine wools
Sums up every LP now. They have so many subs that backseating is commonplace. And personally, it sucks. I just hope it doesn't get to them. Keep livin da dream, Lil Woolz.
Yeah, I criticize him but I've played this game inside and out. Plus, I can even remember fucking up on the same stuff he fucks up on, even after playing it a million times - it's not the smoothest game. The slowdown also doesn't help.
To be fair the second episode was pretty rough. This one was much better though. Never expected Woolie to get that moonwalk mission so fast. I remember it being super hard.
I think I realized what's wrong with the cars in this game and that they are clearly just a modded skateboard, not unlike the train hat from Fallout 3.
Your absolutely correct. In fact, certain npc's knock you over if you get near them. If you run into them in a car, you'll see a skateboard roll out from under the car and the falling sound effect plays over and over again.
yep that car glitch was pretty funny if you try running over agressive npcs as they would normaly knock the player down. so instead you just constantly have the sound effect of falling over while driving
It makes me feel like a proud papa watching Woolie slowly improve at this game. Like little babby me back in my hay-day of playing this game. *sniff* brings a tear to my eye, man.
The Moonwalk Five-0 may be the coolest, "looks possible but is definitely impossible" bullshit thing I've ever seen. I even tried to look up if real people could do it, like if the real version is somewhat less impressive while this game captures what it was meant to be, I just had to be extra sure!
i highly suggest maxing out your manual skill as soon as possible if you ever have a hard time with a "score X00,000 points in this area" mission, you can manuel in one place and keep changing the trick, and get a HUGE score with a x20 multiplier.
Maybe I'm getting it mixed up with Sk8land, but because of how easy it is to loop manuals or grinds forever, I think they're the easiest stats to level up anyway. So it shouldn't be a problem.
ugh i remember doing that toooooo, im so glad the guys are doing T.H.U.G. ; i speak for all of us but i get to experience one of the best games ive ever played in a whole new and exciting light
"There was some businessmen but they were running away". They better! There's no space for businessmen in this new world of skateboards and nut vendors!
I grew up in the New Jersey/New York area in the 90's and early aughts. Going down the street was always a risk, lest you run into the local non-descript substance dealing gang, or the town's nut mafia. Too often would some unfortunate souls run afoul of those thugs, and find their prized tech deck dismantled and strung piece by piece around town. It wasn't rare to see a muggers prize floating lazily about street signs or telephone wire. Those were dark times. Those were nostalgic times.
On this day, when Lil Woolz was heading out to skate, he heard, "Woolz, listen to your mother." Glancing over his shoulder before rolling away with Babby Matt Jr., he retorted "She's not my mother, Todd!"
You know for someone who's *playing a video game for fun* , Woolie's doing pretty well so far. I personally can't wait until they get to Vancouver in the story so they can call out all the Canadian stereotypes.

I used to have the in game soundtrack set exclusively to rap while lifting weights in my room. You betta believe the world is yours, shout-out to Nas.
I never realised that Eric most likely set fire to that taxi since he did it in Jersey. I also wonder if he deliberately set fire to a taxi that was right next to that damn ramp as an early attempt to make you fail.
