Aww Thanks You've cheered Me up. You see I'm having terrible continuing alternator/regulator problems, to a point where I was in tears because I just want to get My car on the road and enjoy driving her. I'm planning to take Her to Stoneleigh kit car rally, that's if I can get her fixed. Anyway She's called "Bitsy" and She's a classic Lomax kit car, built in the early 80's from a 1974 ami. Best Wishes, Jahmahrah
As it usually is with these cars it's probably something glaring and simple like an earth or a slippery pulley you haven't thought of yet I've been there myself many times. Oh here's a thought the guy who owns lomax is a member of my Facebook group feel free to post up some details and you never know someone may have had the same problem
Thanks so much for this. I had wondered what might be available for the 2CV. I really liked the Deuggi. I would love one built with a 602 cc engine and a hardtop. I guess I wished someone had given the 2CV6 a light clean and roomy coupe treatment. Sort of what the Bijou wanted to be but with only 2 seats set a little farther away in the car.
Interesting video Oliver. I recently purchased a 2CV Jeep replica where the body was custom made a one off, unlike the kit car. It is a pleasure to drive. Looks quite cool similar to a Willy's jeep
I have had a number of 2cv kit cars , (3) 223 Lomax (1) 244 Lomax And loved them all But they are as good as the builder Always wanted Blackjack Avion 👍
Rocking the spots on the 2cv , new addition 👌 , I just hate kit cars sorry and all that i would love to build a one but I have never seen a good looking one , they are just never quite right in my opinion 😂 good chat thow 👍
I would love to see an actual 2cv kit with new or remanufactured parts. Complete engine and drivetrain, frame, body, wiring harness, etc. Purchaser assembles the parts and paints it.
If I were to build a 2cv kit I'd find a 2cv completely beyond restoration and go from there. Maybe a 3 wheeler something well proportioned like the falcon
Great video, more pictures would be good. I have a Lomax 224, 5 speed GSA box and 652cc big bore conversion, lots of new parts and great fun. At least the 2CV is surviving in these cars.
Hi Oliver, great video that I stumbled upon because I have recently been given the opportunity to take on a "barn find" restoration of a 2cv based kit car that is in bits. At fist glance I thought it was a Lomax 223, however on closer inspection it doesn't look like it is. Would you be willing to help me identify it?
You are talking a load of rubbish, why would you use aluminium or cloth in this day and age? 30hp gives a good power to weight ratio and poor aerodynamics is the reason the 2CV is slow? 30hp is why it is slow. Why make videos when you have expertise?

24 Minuten Gerede, 1 Minute Bilder von dem was er uns erzählen will. Mehr Fotos von dem was er erzählt wären nicht schlecht

Cool I am familiar with these specials but haven't seen one in person yet

Too much words, not enough pictures...
Thank you for sharing Oliver, I think the kit cars are a good idea, they keep cars going that are not practical to restore.
My thoughts exactly
Been interested in a Lomax for a while now; fascinating to see these other options. Thanks for this!👍
If you are interested in a Lomax, you would probably also like a Le Patron

They are Cebé that I converted to 6v led. I did make a video if you want to see how I did it
@@OliverPickard Yes that would be interesting cheers 😊👍

There is a company in In believe the UK that will build you a new one
I have a question, which one of these kit cars would you choose for your 2CV (apart from Jolene)?
If I were to build a 2cv kit I'd find a 2cv completely beyond restoration and go from there. Maybe a 3 wheeler something well proportioned like the falcon
@@OliverPickard like the Lomax 223 or the other one that you mentioned?
@@OliverPickard me personally, I’d go with the: Canard, Burton or the Lomax 223.

@@OliverPickard Fantastic, I'll look up your Facebook group then. Cheers!

Blackjack Avion for the win. IMO.
I'd rather put the money into restoring a 2CV. I do understand and respect the opinions, but just not for me.
Sorry I didn't understand the name of the sporty British one you cited at the beginning, the one you said that looks like a Lancia, thank you!
Sammio is not easy to say when your congested haha

Deaux chevaux. Deaux mort.
