7:25 For anyone doing this is from March 2023, the editor doesn't do the "select one at a time" anymore. What worked for me was clicking the plus on bind bones, then ctrl click in the hierarchy on the scarf root, then scarf2 then scarf 3.
Man! This tool and this guy gonna make some real impact in this industry. Just when I thought to quit creating Motion Designs for web and app, this tool gave me a ray of hope. Thanks for this tutorial! Hail Binding and Weighting Feature :)))
Thanks for the quick and most awaited tutorial from rive. I just asked this kind of stuff few days ago. Keep posting more!!!, How about JcToon doing same tutorial like this would be great too. Keep posting more Bobbeh. One thing about the keyframe is can we have a color highlight, if the keys are the same condition like choosing a bone? This would help us to a lot in animate mode.
23:41, didn't quite understand that part. why didn't we make the work area bigger so last keyframes finish and start off at the beginning of the first key frame again?
Nice tutorial. This is my introduction to this tool and think it's really powerful. I'm going to try out challenge and see how it goes. Though, you kept on saying "mili-seconds" when you may have meant to say "frames", I still got it 👍
I had a very hard time figuring out why I could not select multiple bones for my shape like in the vid! >.< If I just clicked on the bones it would keep the last bone I'd click on, not all of them... I just randomly tried holding down Shift and it worked ... it would've been useful info to be shared as well...
That's great. I want to learn how to animate a little snake or even just a line that goes around a 90 degree turn with its tail following like Tron or the game snake were the tail grows longer. Also how to add glow
excellent video ! Rive also has made a lot of progress in about 2 years, that's really amazing :) just a question : I sometimes have my shape that completely disappeared when manipulating bones though, does anybody know how to fix it ?
If you use a procedural shape (rectangles, ellipses, ect...) you'll need to convert it to a custom shape first. To do that, select the shape, and enter edit vertices mode (hit enter twice). You'll then be prompted to convert the shape.

Great tool. Love the Bones! Coming from the 3D field, pretty intuitive.

before add animation with Rive, how and with what did you draw this boy? Or do you just get the image available from an online source?
Where can I download the artwork for tutorial purpose?

Thanks for sharing, is it ok to share with us a walking cycle in Rive?
Could you please teach us how to design motion design system into Figma?
I would also like to know how to animate a sinus wave.
