I called Bobby after watching the AllWood video's I drove down to Bobby's shop (a long way from Croswell) after spending over an hour in his small but impressive well organized shop, I put a deposit down a Locust model splitter... During my meeting with Bobby & his partner he mentioned "don't mind the shop its a mess" I told him I would be worried if it wasn't a mess, it's a working fab shop. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO PICK UP MY LOCUST SPLITTER!!

Bobby needs to rethink his filter position. Looks like a super machine. I really like the blade availability, very nice. Changing that filter will require some thought about intersecting cardboard to catch what runs out as you unscrew the filter. Otherwise hydraulic fluid everywhere

I have friends in your situation, that heat their homes with wood, and a $1k splitter has done them well for many, many years. What has happened, is people on UA-cam don't get clicks and likes with those box store splitters. They gotta "go big or go home" on here to boost their channel. Rebecca, I will be running this thing as much as I can and seeing what it can do. I have been asked and Bobby ships to all 48 states! If there is anything you’d like to see or know about it let me know. One thing that drew me to the Allwood was that there wasn’t a lot of video out there on it. Similar to the Samurai saw I run in my videos. I like being able to try lesser known brands of what appear to be quality products so others can see if they like or dislike them. I was able to go down and meet Bobby and see his shop and the splitters in person which helped seal the deal on the Allwood. So far all I can say is wow! I looked at a few others and there are definitely some great splitters out there. Once I saw the Allwood in my opinion it stood out! I have some massive Oak rounds from a previous video when I flipped out of my trailer I’ve been saving and plan on running them through the Musclewood as well as a lot of other things and plans for it. Bobby is also working on a new product for his splitters that will increase production especially for those who work alone. If it works out I’ll be getting it and debit it on my channel in a few months! Thanks for watching and if you have any questions or requests let me know.

@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I mean yes that works. In my opinion I would spend the extra $200 and put a double filter 90 gpm so no Unfiltered filter hydraulic fluid makes it into the tank then in the pump. say something is in the line or something happens in the cylinder well it would have to go through the pump to then make it to the filter that’s on it instead of being cough right before the tank

Then add for larger push plate, improved cycle time, hydraulic cooler, auto cycle, etc. that all comes standard on the Musclewood. The build and materials used are top notch. I posted a link to the website in the description and he has his prices listed there.

@mickeybinas so far I get 90% of my wood for free. I sell everything I have time to make which is where this splitter shines. I get $150/ a third of a cord or $450/cord. Granted I have to buck up etc. but I can easily split 1/3rd of a cord in about 10 minutes so it really doesn’t take long. Plus the splitter is still worth as much or more than I paid for it after easily repaying it in sold wood already. It should last me years as well.

Why is the lift on the opposite side of the controll?? So you have to walk around to load it an back again to split it an if moves an falls off an does not split it completely you have to walk around again? Seems back asswards. Of course it does not boog on the lift there is no weight on it. It's a ok video to kick the tires an brag but it clearly does not show any of its real capabilities.

It was an introductory video. Check out some of the follow up videos on the channel, we run huge oak and ash rounds through the 6 way, make 1/3rd of a cord in 12 minutes easily etc. Show the lift easily lifting 34” rounds etc. the controls are set up very similar to my Eastonmade 12-22 and the Wolfe Ridge I have run. Other splitters big the engine down with empty lifts due to flow restrictions in the lines, this runs a separate pump.

That thing is a joke, for a home owner I wouldn't take it if you gave it to me there is no place to store it.For commercial use the design is for home owner use. When you work productive you want to handle the wood as little as possible.

I am beginning to grow my business as I am eligible for retirement in 7.5 years and would like to have a nice side business going by that time. I am also crazy busy so any where I can save a lot of time is important to me. I look at it as a stepping stone and an investment as it should last me a long time and hold its value fairly well.
