Another great video. Making the belly boxes from the roof storage boxes was ingenious. Also designing them yourself, is great. This build must be the most complex you have done. Nice to see Brian.
Thanks very much, so happy we could reuse them. Definitely by far the most complex, it’s been fun, even if it’s made my head feel like it’s going to pop sometimes 😂😂

Amazing progress with the van, love how Jess is so professional and together she and John make an awesome team. Great use for the original part of the Roof to make the lockers, very professional finish. What a lovely job on the roof guys. That roof rack, strong too, hey Jess! Those VIOFO cams are a good bit of kit for the car. I've had one for about 10 years now. It's happily survived the scorching heat here in Western Australia.
I'm amazed at your ingenuity and fabrication skills, John, each week you excel yourself. Your engineering expertise is matched by Jess's commentary without autocue. 😁
Another very informative and entertaining video. John your attention to detail is second to none, and it is great that the General is so involved. Oh and it's inside out NOT inside and out. 👍
Jess that bolt thread tip I have used for years and only 2 weeks ago replacing two part rusty ones on my car. Had two longer ones and I had to add two nuts to one and lock them together and clamp in my moles, no vice now. I used a mini hacksaw and did not sand a bevel as it was going into the engine block. Those Belly Lockers John look professionally constructed and if I had not seen you make them, then I would not have believed it.
Think you ought to name it crafty Saturday as each week you guys build something more amazing than the week before. It coming along great and looks so cool.
Another great vid folks, the 718 is coming along nicely and looks more awesome with each passing week. I bet Gregor has been closely following your build with interest too.
Yet another quality video, your upcycling of the parts that came off the original is a real eye opener, this is looking so good already. The inside and out knowledge that you two share is fantastic.
Really enjoying watching Big Red transformation. This week has been fascinating to watch, how you work everything out etc. Thanks muchly and good luck "Inside and Out" 😂
That was brilliant, the amount of things you had to account for doing the bed box but what a fantastic saving!! The belly lockers are brilliant and the water filling point will look the mutz nutz there… cracking bit of fabricating from the workshop!! I know this makes me an anorak but I loved the camera work when you drilled the hole 🕳️ near as good as the propshaft shots! 😂 🙌
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. Nice editing. I love that you repurpose as much as possible. The old saying "if these walls could talk" has been used in one form or another forever, but I've always been enamored by the permanence of a thing. Like two photos taken at the same tree decades apart. That tree connects two points through time. And how many people also have their pictures by that tree? There's something beautiful about things getting to still be useful in a new form. Things have stories. You're allowing the story of that thing to continue. That's art.
What a lovely thing to say thank you, we love reusing things and giving them a new life. I share your passion for old photos and of trees, I always wish they could talk, imagine the stories that could tell!!
The aluminium storage you built in behind the wheels are great. Piece of advice only if you wanted... Cover a rubber pad all over of your aluminum storage to avoid rust from a splash of mud and water of your big tires. Take care always and stay safe ❤
It's like watching The A team, doing a vehicle makeover, only with consideration to design, balance, symmetry, aesthetics and colour coordination. Your skills and craftsmanship are excellent and an absolute pleasure to watch. This vehicle is an absolute beauty! And all this with the slight distraction of Jon's shorts, very much appreciated.
I always love “The Generals” hair style’s .. and love John’s haircut in this one.. and of course love watching everything you do… (Thanks for educating the septics on the PRAWN on the barbie) 👍🦘🇦🇺❤️🦐
Wow!!! I love watching your channel to see all the bits you construct yourselves, those lockers are brilliant. Wish I had the space to try more things like this :)

Oh my, this build just keeps getting better and better...❤ so well thought out and engineered x
Thanks Tracey 😊💙
Another great vid folks, the 718 is coming along nicely and looks more awesome with each passing week.
I bet Gregor has been closely following your build with interest too.
Cheers mate, got loads of good ideas from Gregor’s page 👌👍
In side AND out !!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 great Jess. Your build is looking amazing well done to you both very impressed 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks mate 💪👍
Yet another quality video, your upcycling of the parts that came off the original is a real eye opener, this is looking so good already. The inside and out knowledge that you two share is fantastic.
😂😂😂😂 cheers mate 👍
Really enjoying watching Big Red transformation. This week has been fascinating to watch, how you work everything out etc. Thanks muchly and good luck "Inside and Out" 😂
😂😂😂 cheers mate 👍
That was brilliant, the amount of things you had to account for doing the bed box but what a fantastic saving!! The belly lockers are brilliant and the water filling point will look the mutz nutz there… cracking bit of fabricating from the workshop!!
I know this makes me an anorak but I loved the camera work when you drilled the hole 🕳️ near as good as the propshaft shots! 😂
🙌
Brilliant Guys ...inside and out .
😂😂😂 cheers John
You're one heck of a team and that's a great set up you have !
What a lovely thing to say thanks very much 💙
Very satisfying to watch those boxes being made, top job!
Thank you very much! 💙
The aluminium storage you built in behind the wheels are great.
Piece of advice only if you wanted... Cover a rubber pad all over of your aluminum storage to avoid rust from a splash of mud and water of your big tires.
Take care always and stay safe ❤
Thanks very much 😊, as they are aluminium they won’t rust but the raptor might flake off after a while so might have to do something like that 👍👍
I have now lost count of how many of your videos I have seen. But each is a wonderful humorous episode. Your humour and sense of fun appeals.
Thanks very much, I’m glad u enjoy them
i'm unreasonably happy to see the old water filling point go back on the outside of the truck. Cheers,
😂😂 cheers mate
It's like watching The A team, doing a vehicle makeover, only with consideration to design, balance, symmetry, aesthetics and colour coordination. Your skills and craftsmanship are excellent and an absolute pleasure to watch. This vehicle is an absolute beauty! And all this with the slight distraction of Jon's shorts, very much appreciated.
😂😂😂😂 but the question is who is mr t,
I always love “The Generals” hair style’s .. and love John’s haircut in this one.. and of course love watching everything you do…
