It's weird. I've always romantized Greenland and no one else I've spoken understands why. As a wilderness lover this would be the the final frontier for me. Some day. Nice music :D
I can understand the fascination, perhaps because I read Inuit fairy-tales when I was a kid :-) (I'm Czech, they were translated to Czech). I have ADHD and Northern countries have a calming effect on me. And I wrote my thesis on Barry Lopez's Arctic Dreams. There's something about Northern countries that's hard to define and hard to find anywhere else :-) I personally love the sunlight in the North - it's clearer and much sharper than here in central Europe. I've lived in Latvia, Estonia and Finlad and the winters were OK but the springs were crazy hard because they came much later than I'm used to, so my body was literally aching for sunlight and flowers. But it was all worth it.

As a Proud Cree from Northern Manitoba. This Greenlandic song makes me proud.
this is what got me into greenlandic culture and music

Its as close to America as it is to Europe, only 56,000 people, but if you like snow and ice.
It's in Greenlandic, a very distinct and beautiful language.
