I originally found Spiritwalker from the Regretevator OST, and I have no regrets about finding this guy. The fact that these songs were made in 2018 still baffles me - this album is way ahead of its time. The cover art, the mysticality of the music - all of it is gorgeous.
You deserve more for the songs you have created, Kubbi. I hope your life goes well.
Damn, I've been listening to this album repeatedly since it came out over 2 years ago, and I only just realized Kubbi paid $700 or more for the album art alone. This album must have been very expensive to get to us. I'm glad he and his band did it though, this is a surreal and graceful creation that sets off my own imagination with images of a vast, snowy, mountainous region, with many mystical and beautiful events. I could write half of a book with what I see in the sounds of this album alone, and with Ember making up the other half of the book and two more albums planned and in the making, I really have an itch to create something out of the delight that Kubbi has worked so hard to perfect.
Well, do it!
I've grown much more appreciative of this as time has gone on. my younger self was dissapointed that this was not just ember 2, but now I can see that it's truly something beautiful in its own right
I think what sets it apart for me, is that all of Ember's songs are great alone, whereas Taiga's mostly feel weaker when separated from their album.
I actually had to try to listen to this album multiple times before I really started to appreciate it as its own thing. They both embody their namesakes, Ember with its exciting fast pace which burns away under its own power (ie. how the songs later in the album slow in pace and feel introspective and kinda tragically beautiful), and Taiga feeling more like a natural beauty, powerfully calm but with stabs of excitement remaining.
underrated. wish more people knew about this guy, i haven't felt emotional about music for years.
Absolutely love this album. I've never heard electronic music with so much atmospheric presence, expert layering, and melodies that soar. Huge fan. Thanks for such an awesome album guys!

When i listened to Resurgence i got an unexcpected nostalgia burst. This feels weird to say but i wish it was 2020 again so bad.
Resurgence is a great part of this album.. I love it! I miss the old days, but days go by as always. I would've done so much different, but here I am doing nothing.

Discovered this album this summer and I can't stop listening to it. I find it hard to find an album where I like pretty much every song and happily sit and listen to the whole thing all at once-I do this almost daily with this album. Its probably one of the few albums that actually finishes on a high-Cold Snap is a really beautiful, hopeful and nostalgic song to me, the perfect ending to this album.

Found out about this album freshman year of college, 2018. The music here is kind of a nostalgic time capsule for me, reminding me of the good memories I have from back then. Fast forward a few years and this album still motivates me to pursue my own passions regardless of any roadblocks I'll face. Thanks Kubbi

I’ve gotta say, as time went on I grew out of a lot of the electronic music I listened to back in middle school. But this, 4 years after discovering it Taiga remains one of my favorite albums of all time. It’s just so beautiful front to back, and though I primarily listen to Wake, Spiritdancer, and Hunter individually, front to back this album is a freakin masterpiece.
Let’s just say whenever someone I know says electronic music isn’t real music I make them listen to this album, 90% of the time they take back their statement.
You are a truly underrated artist, I hope you'll release many more fantastic tracks in the future!

I have a really big game project on my papers and in my entire mind. And all the musics I listen everyday help me a lot to create the story and the gameplay, like Kubbi's musics ! But you know, this project will be create in a while because I'm just a 16 years old man who has big dreams like that. When I will begin the project, I'll question Kubbi if he want to collaborate and create amazing musics like this. I know that is a lot of work to spend in complexe musics like in this album.

"Resurgence" is aptly named. 34:30... blast off. that moment gives a sense of high-speed, high-acceleration flight after being earthbound for your entire life up to that point

Formed by Glaciers is the best song in the album, and it perfectly goes with the others. I believe it has an amazing position in Ember! And considering it's the last song, it could easily be a transition into Taiga!

The only song I dislike is Hunter because of the singing.
Don't get me wrong, the singers Voice is Great, but IMO it doesn't fit the "Style" of Kubbi.
(Obv Kubbi makes his own style, though I would prefer him staying with Songs without singing :), A good "Compromise" was Formed by Glaciers )
