Can't stress enough how Better Call Saul is not just a spinoff as you may think but the actual second half of the BB story. I hope it isn't too long till you guys give it a shot!
I assume you all probably realized afterward, but no time passed between the finale and the movie. After the flashback with Mike, they cut to him in the car literally driving away from the nazis hideout after leaving Walt. The cops he met were the ones you saw in the final moments with Walt’s dead body.
They were just confused because the makeup department only did an okay job in regards to continuation. Aaron Paul looks almost like he did in the final episode but not 100%. So if you jump right into the movie after BB you can get puzzled by things like the different beard.

I love how “El Camino” showed Jesse finally taking agency of his own life and becoming an adult - not being manipulated by anyone. And thank goodness he gets a fresh start.
Robert Forster who played the vaccume guy died about when the movie came out. The cast and crew assumed that he never saw the movie but I found some comentary clips where Aaron Paul reveald that he got a call from him revealing that he did watch the movie and told Aaron that. Apparently he died about a few hours after the call. Its incredably hearwarming that even at deaths door he still waited enough to watch the movie and telling Aaron about it and then dying almost like he did what he wanted before passing away. Its both sad and nice.
I remember at the start of the series when I saw Jesse's friends and thought "this guys are just going to be canon fodder, or be in the way". I'm glad that they actually had a lot of weight in the story as well. Combo was the one who gave Jesse the RV, they were key when Walter and Jesse handled distribution, Combo's death was key into Jesse's character arc, Badger was the key to introduce the character of Saul Goodman, they helped Jesse to sell drugs to people in rehab and actually started to rehab themselves as well, they helped Jesse with the pest control cover operation, they helped Walter threaten Gretchen and Elliot, and they helped Jesse in this movie. In the end, while not good influences, they were very good and loyal friends.
@@danielmunoz1275 They are also very realistic portrayal of actual addicts - they have their skills, passions, hobbies. It's not like they just get high 24/7 - and I'm speaking from my decade of experience as a junkie. Breaking bad had soooo many well written characters.
On the Breaking Bad podcast they actually say Forster passed only a few hours after watching the movie. His family credits the film being the reason he held on as long as he did.
Yess I just watched the El Camino commentary and Aaron Paul was saying he had talked to Robert Forster after he saw the movie the day it was released, just hours before he passed. He did a great job at that role
39:31 IRL you'd never think Jesse's parents are snakes. If you knew someone who did wwhat Jesse did, and had parents like that, you wouldn't think those parents are snakes.
They’re snakes. The only thing that would justify it is if they had tons of scenes showing that Jesse was an absolute piece of shit before the show. Chances are he wasn’t the awful addict people assume. Even in BB There’s very little to back up all the times Walt and Gus call him one. He’s just a fuck up like most people with wealthy overbearing parents.
Yeah, the story is from Jesse's perspective and in his eyes his parents are antagonists that stop him from getting what he wants. If you would look at it from a neutral point of view, or theirs, you'd probably agree with much of what they're doing. It's kind of the same with Skylar. So many people hate her because she's often fighting against Walt for what he wanted, while in reality being a normal person trying not to have your family destroyed by your husband making meth is pretty reasonable.
@@clarkmichaels822I hear you, but not only do I think that S&P are too inconsiderate for Jesse's parents, I think they are harsher on them than Jesse would at his point in his life. In regard to the Skylar thing, I also hear you, however, in shows where we see life through the POV of different main characters, S&P also failed to empathize with some characters, because the flaws of characters they loved didn't bother them. For eg, _Game of Thrones._ S&P often failed to see all the ways Sansa is a prisoner of the Lannisters, and therefore a prisoner of Tyrion too. They didn't see how it was completely unwarranted for Tyrion to expect Sansa to eventually warm up to him, and basically believed that she should be grateful because it could have been worse. I think the reason many fans don't sympathize with Skylar or Jesse's parents, is not just because Walt and Jesse are the main characters, and the story is told through their POV. It's also because they don't think as critically about how the main characters affect the supporting ones, which is why they don't empathize with them. This is why I like reading reviews and listening to podcasts that analyzes stories, because they typically go deeper, and teach you to have more consideration for things you only glance at. Finally, without spoiling anything, and naming any characters, this is one area in which _Better Call Saul_ is superior to _Breaking Bad,_ because it deliberately goes deeper into the lives of various supporting characters, and we empathize more with them, even when the main character affects them negatively.
Jesse's parents were gonna sell a meth contaminated house to unsuspecting buyers so they didn 't have to dip into the profits to fix the issue. They're not snakes, they're weasels
I mean, if you understand why Skyler tried to divorce Walter, tried to keep the kids away from him, then you should understand why Jesse's parents cut ties with him when they found the meth lab in the house's basement. Just look at the rest of Jesse's relationships: Combo killed for selling in the wrong territory (Jesse put him there), Jane she was left to die (Because Jesse contributed to her relapsing and he was partners with Walter), Andrea lost her brother because of Jesse's involvement, then she was killed as punishment for Jesse trying to escape, Brock was poisoned, and after he survived his mother died and HE was probably the one who found her. Honestly, the reason why Jesse's parents and his brother stayed safe and unharmed was because they cut relations with him very early.
12:38 This scene with Skinny Pete and Jesse always got me, from Skinny Pete's perspective Jesse was always that friend who dipped in and out of his life, although this time it was different. This time Jesse was running away to Alaska and Skinny Pete had no idea this was the last time he would ever see Jesse again, they also never got told where Jesse was going so he could never go looking for him. Considering Jesse had a new identity to protect I think its safe to say he never returned to New Mexico or contacted old connections. He literally never saw Skinny Pete or Badger again. I don't know why it just gets me, maybe it's because from past experiences Skinny Pete is probably expecting Jesse to show up again like old times, but bro literally grew old never seeing his hero/friend again, never knowing if he made it or died trying. That's deep.
It picks up at the finale ending. Not sure how ya’pl missed that 😁. Skinmy peye and badger got 20K from Walt, that’s how they bought the new tv and video games
Probably bc they did a bad job with Jesse’s makeup. His beard is far longer than in that same shot from Breaking Bad when he screams. It was botched for this sadly
i absolutely agree with the decision to not jump immediately into better call saul. i love it so much, but too often I see people not appreciate it because it starts off slow, just like season 1 of breaking bad. It's much better to go into it with a fresh view, instead of just expecting more of breaking bad. it's an entirely different vibe, so you will only be disappointed if go into it expect breaking bad 2.
Season 1 of BB was Not slow at all. lol A lot of action and universe building went on. Where BSC was a slow burn for like the first 3 seasons cuz it focused on it's own story for the most part. It wasn't until the BB storyline starts, is where it really took off.
@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm I agree breaking bad doesn't start slow but there's a large group of people that say it does. i don't even personally believe better call saul starts off slow either, but u need to admit for people that aren't already incredibly invested, it can feel significantly less intense at the start
@@Bl4ckinferno178 No Spoilers but Better call definitely starts off slow because it's its own story. Building up new characters and connected characters backstories. Evolving (devolving Saul) with his own journey. It can't be the same as Walt's cuz it's not the same motivation. The only people that say BB starts off slow are people that, (for some reason) feel like it's a competition between the two shows. Like one has to put down one show to appreciate the other. They both are strong writing but just different tones and different pace. It has to be cuz they focus on different characters.
Just a reminder that Aaron Paul never took acting classes and his character was supposed to be killed in season 1 if not for the writers strike, and yet Jesse's character lived to the very end
somehow the show where the funniest joke is a pizza ending up on a roof... has a movie where the saddest line is "...pepperoni." and it's one of the saddest lines i've heard in a long time.
They don’t pay attention to what they’re watching half the time. It’s obvious if you watch two/three episodes back to back and not a few days apart as they upload them, they don’t remember important things from episode to episode, only after it’s pointed out again in comments do they remember. It’s more about trying to one up each other with “predictions” for them.
@@idrinkthere4iam If you don't like it, there is always the option to touch the softest most greenest grass outside instead of being a pretentious hater online. Life is too short for that shit. They talk about El Camino being a sequel after Breaking Bad in the intro. How did you miss that?
@@PowerofRock24nah man, he is speaking facts. Your response is childish, you shouldn't call someone a "pretentious hater" for pointing out the obvious
His parents are not the sort of people to own guns, hence the reaction on Jesse's face when he finds them in the safe. Hell, they kicked Jesse out because their house cleaner found a doobie in the plant pot lol. I think Pudgey and Spartan are right on the money with this one. They must have purchased guns because they fear the people Jesse was associating with.
@@PowerofRock24 Huh? Jesse went there specifically looking for the guns. The older gun was clearly an heirloom. Jesse guessed the password because he knows his parents so well. He obviously knew about the guns.
@@PowerofRock24People have guns, even if they're not gun fanatics. The fact that they kept them in a safe is proof of that. I myself, and most people I know have guns hidden throughout the house. I live in New Mexico, and everybody has guns. Unless, you live in California, or the states on the east coast
@@zammmerjammer It's been awhile since I watched El Camino. But from the reaction, it suggests he wasn't expecting to find them. Also, why would he specifically go after a .22?
Can you imagine you've been kept prisoner in a fucking hole in the ground in a cage for 6 months and 24 hours after you escape you see your parents on TV telling you to turn yourself in so you can go back into another jail cell?
I like the juxtaposition of Jesse at the end of BB and the end of this. In BB, he’s in his car, driving away yelling and clearly not ok. Here, he’s driving in his car and has accepted what has happened, and able to move on. Also, the credits song is really fantastic and fits well for Jesse’s story
ngl, that last flashback of him and Jane talking about life broke me. I was crying and I was glad Jesse got a brighter ending, and I know he's a fictional character, but I hope he did straighten his ways for the rest of his life.
Charles Baker, who played Skinny Pete is a great actor, writer, and pianist. He even plays a quick melody on Breaking Bad. He's been in a lot of TV shows and movies. He made this role great, the writers even expanded his role from the original story.
Jesse looking at the sink left on and he turned it off for them showed him how much they cared to run off to meet him so quickly that they didn't even turn it off and the respect Jesse had to turn it off for them and he knew the cops would be staking the place out so it would get them out of the house and take the cops with them
6:08 vince didn't care about the continuity with this, he said the audience will understand and just accept its the same timeframe regardless of how old everyone looks... he said its how WE see the characters due to how much time is passed but in "reality" they still look the same.
They weren't preparing for Jessie or anything, its just pretty normal for a family to have a couple guns in the house for protection in America, them being under lock like that is common.
I loved this movie, but esp the ending - a perfect alter image of his ending in Breaking Bad - driving away, stressed and screaming. End of El Camino -- driving away, freer than he's been since he was a drug addict years ago, and at some measure of peace. Just amazing.
I really needed this for Jesse as well. After so much destruction, there's this little bit of hope for a guy who deserved it. Glad you guys enjoyed it too.
I wish Jesse well, but I just don't see things going well for him long term. He'll find a lady, but they haven't yet made one who won't pry her way into every detail of his life. The haunted looks. The scars. The guardedness. One day she'll stop by his place and find nothing but empty drawers and a "Don't try to find me." note. And he'll have to try to find someplace further off the grid.
@@kevenpinder7025 Certainly there are people who don't pry into every detail of their partners lives. Some are men, and some are women. I have hopes that Jesse will find someone, he'd make a great father one day.
Spartan needs to grow up a bit and start appreciating good story telling and character development as well as not expecting explosions and sword fights/gun shoot-outs in every moment before they do that.
1) the jesse driving scene is literally 1 second after he escapes 2) Remember Walt paid Skinny Pete and Badger to gaslight Gretchen and Elliott with the laser pointers so it's reasonable to assume they might have bought some swag with it instead of drugs. They seem sober in this.
They were starting to get sober back when they tried to sell meth to the rehab group. Yes, they did relapse with Jesse's parties, but they showed they had the ability to recover. Now with the blue meth gone, the future has become even easier for them
911 only asks you to stay on the line if it is an emergency when you call for a not emergency you should be calling the none emergency phone number, but if you do call 911 for something that is not considered an emergency they will sometimes let you go and might call back in a bit to check. From what I understand
If you call 911 and hang up they will track you down and may even send an officer to you. Our old Cisco IP phone system used to require manual dialing and you had to dial 91 to get out, so people were accidentally calling 911 on a regular basis and they got BIG mad with our company. Same thing happens from residential lines.
I think BCS came out about 2 years after BB. You should definitely react to BCS but there's no need to jump straight in as none of us who watched BB first time around, jumped right into BCS either. I think you'll appreciate BCS more if you let BB sink in a bit before watching BCS
That diner that Walt and Jessie were at is a New Mexico landmark. The last time I was in Albuquerque my wife and I ate there. I forgot that it was in this movie. The distance from Todds apartment and the burial sight of his cleaning lady is every bit of a two-hour drive. It's a very desolate spot called the Bistui Bad Lands. Nothing grows out there. There is no cell phone coverage. There are high deposits of uranium in that area. That place always gives me a feeling of being on another planet. It is between Gallup and Farmington. It's not super far from the site of the train heist.
Yea that flashback of him and Walt was from 4 days out when they got stranded in the RV they were supposed to go to a hotel and a Denny's but couldn't so after they got it started they finally did that before he went to switch cars out and drop Walt off at the airport, they are wearing the same clothes in that scene that he dropped him off
In defense of Jesse's parents, continuing to help an addict just enables them to stay an addict. The only help that you can give is to help them get into rehab, and most addicts are in denial or just aren't interested in getting clean. Anything else will just make it easier to stay an addict. In most cases, the best way to get an addict to want to get clean is to let them hit rock bottom, and as long as they have a roof over their head, access to a hot shower, a bed, food to eat, and, most likely, no job, that's not likely to happen. My Mom was a severe alcoholic. After years of trying to talk her into getting help, I couldn't take the pain of watching her turn into someone I no longer recognized. I told her that I couldn't have contact with her anymore because it hurt too much. She agreed to go to rehab immediately after. Granted, it's not that easy with everyone, but it's the best shot.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, His parents were going to sell a meth contaminated home to unknowing buyers, his parents are not to be trusted (even their lawyer was a scumbag willing to commit felonies for $).
The fact that anyone would have to defend Jesse's parents in the first place is absurd. They wwere good people who had clearly tried to help their son over and over again. The hate Mr. and Mrs. Pinkman get from different reactors is really mind boggling. Only people who have limited life experience would hate Mr and Mrs Pinkman.
I get my clue of Jesse's future from the last scene he's in in Breaking Bad: as he's driving away you get flashbacks to him building his box. Or are they flash-forwards ? I like to see them as both. So, perhaps he becomes some kind of woodworker ?
Jessie goes to his parents house specifically because he knows he can get guns there. The parents didn't keep the guns for "when Jessie came" or for any weird reasons that you might think.. they're just American. Many of us just own/shoot guns as a hobby but I don't think thats the way you interpreted the scene because of cultural differences most likely. The two guns Jessie picks up are both antiques and collectors items so his dad is probably just a collector of historical firearms.
Love how we got a whole movie to tie up Jesse's story, showing us flashbacks with the characters that influenced him the most. Watching his journey throughout the series has been a rollercoaster and I'm glad that the we got at least a bittersweet but also poignant ending for him
these two are actual toddlers I swear to god - first it was Zaheer and now Jesse with the ''I don't recognize him, his hair/beard is different'' lmao. It was so obvious it's right after the end as it ended with him screaming and now it started with it 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
It really dawned on me after the shoot out scene that the Breaking Bad universe is essentially a neo western. Aside from it obviously being set in the desert and the shoot outs, it also has many western themes and elements like having morally gray characters, redemption, the cartel being stand in for banditos, Hank being the sheriff in town who actually cares about taking down Gus and Walter, etc. Also Jesse and that guy just have the usual quick draw show down with their guns. A Mexican standoff includes three people or more aiming guns at each other
I admittedly haven’t finished BCS just cause I haven’t watched any shows recently but I have seen the bulk of it, and it’s every bit as well written as Breaking Bad. It’s more than a spin-off, that word doesn’t do it Justice. From what I’ve seen, it’s more of a slow burn than BB and requires attention but it’s peak. Hope you guys get around to it eventually
Is so weird when someone who has not watch "Better call Saul" said that this story is complete or finished.. can't wait to see their reaction if they decide to watch that show.
Jesse Plemons is awesome, hes currently one of my favorite actors, everything Ive seen him in hes great, in breaking bad you would think hes just someone next door but the dude has serial killer traits, great actor.
The flashback with Mike was immediately before they both told Walt that they were "out" in season 5. The diner season with Walt was immediately after the RV battery died & they were stranded in the desert, hence why Jesse was in the tub & wanted the pitcher of water.
11:54 Skinny Pete had enough of the fighting and left the Mandalorian universe for a life of chilling. He and Badger are the best friends anyone could ask for.
Another thing you guys should react too is watching Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reading the final script. It’s cool to see how much the actors cared about the show and the characters
41:50 Were the guns for when Jesse came? No. Where did you get that idea? Owning a gun doesn't imply paranoia any more than owning a phone implies narcissism.
hmm I never heard of anyone doubting that Gretchen and Elliott would refuse to follow Walt's orders. They were scared out of their minds that they'd get killed by a hitman, I definitely think they'd give Walt Jr. the money.
Just so you know: the cinematography didn't came out of nowhere or because it's a movie. The team, at this point, have been working on BB/BCS for more than 10 years. In BCS they started to get REALLY creative with the shots and this was before S6 (in the final season, almost all episodes look/feel like a movie)
I hope u gonna react to Better Call Saul one day. It is a prequel, a sequel and takes place during Breaking Bad timeline, too. Of course u gonna see some beloved characters before, during and after Breaking Bad, only then the story is complete. Greetings from Germany❤
the ending of these characters that you mentioned at the beginning of the video is already very clear and decided, Walter Jr and Skayler are living their normal lives traumatized by Walter, Saul ran away that's all we know but in better call saul it's much more explained, Marie stayed widow living with this weight, Walter died, Jesse in this film tells his journey, I believe that the creator of Breaking Bad didn't want to make scenes of characters living their normal lives because that would be very crude, the way it was done it was good, it was with our own imagination in this fictional world
I wrote a paper on how This movie shoukd be classified as a Neo-Western. So many staple tropes of your favorite cowboy/western films are used in El Camino.
He’ll like the humor and the cartel plotlines. He may struggle through the law plots. But just like with BB i think he’ll ultimately understand the necessity of the early seasons set up
I love the contrast between the chaotic traumatized driving scene as he fleas the nazi compound vs the calm peace as he drives to his new life in Alaska
Jesse Plemons as Todd should have been technologically de-aged.. he had changed so much in the years between the end of BB and the filming of this it really pulls you out of it,
I heard that the reason he looked heavier is because Jesse (not Jesse Plemons) looked at him in that way. Not sure that if that are true, but it would make sense that he did. He in his cage, starved and got hes beatings.
@@onlyu2high Why? Makes no sense why Jesse would look at him that way. Especially since Jesse (pinkman) himself is not only heavier but also older. lol Jese the actor didn't gain weight for that reason, he just gained weight. lol
The guns at jesses parent are old family guns Jesse knew about. He needed those to gain acces to the money. they are not for protection against Jesse. Here in the USA its super common for people to keep guns in a safe. I think Jesses says it was his grandpas gun. ALmost all families have an old gun like that.
And i believe he knew they had 2 so he’d be able to have one visible so they don’t immediately try to kill him and a second to keep in his pocket and shoot without them expecting it. Such a Walt level plan!
The reason that Joe left is because his device alerts him when the police have put out a warrant for that vehicle registration. He was using it to make sure the car wasn't hot. It just soo happened that while he was checking, the police had JUST marked that car. That's why he ran. He knew the cops were coming.
@@PROVOCATEURSKi assumed the payment was because he actually did all the work to secure the new identity before Jesse bailed? Then again maybe there wasn’t enough time and he’s just an ass like that
I like to think my fellow Jesse will now find a nice wooden shack somewhere surrounded by all that snow, near a small village where he can work with his hands.
the El Camino car was in Badger's cousins Clovis's Tow yard where they took the rv. and where Jesse bought that little red car. Jesse thought about buying the El Camino but then changed his mind to the little red car. Todd must have bought it from Clovis. and we did see the El Camino car at Jack's place before.
We know Jesse had an artistic streak! He could draw and he liked woodworking. I imagine he maybe went to a carpentry school and opened his own woodwork shop or furniture business, selling his own creations. Then eventually he probably settled down and had kids of his own. He really was so good with them 🥲
your mods/regulars kinda missed the mark. they should have told you to learn what El Camino was about after finishing BB. for years after BB ended, there's quite a lot of chatter in the fanbase that there's room for a Jesse post-BB movie to further conclude his story. so when this movie was announced it was explicitly described as exactly that, giving to that part of the fandom what they asked for. again, your mods/regulars/patreon supporters should have at least given you the context.
This! I think the reason they didn’t fully connect that it was right after BB ended is just because they didn’t know it was made years later and got caught up on the physical differences in Jesse’s appearance between the two scenes.
Mod here. We told them it took place right after the ending of BB, and we told them the exact dates (month and year) that Breaking Bad ended and El Camino came out. Not our fault whatsoever. They clearly forgot what we told them between then (we told them after BB Series Finale was recorded) and when they recorded this.
@@suddenimpulse030 i was thinking less about the exact dates between them, and more about the context of the release to help with the expectations on what the movie was about, since they were speculating on Skylar, Marie, Walt Jr, Saul. i would have told them they should know the gist of what it's about and if they agree, show them the trailer or give a very short synopsis like "we follow Jesse exclusively after his escape from captivity". anyway it doesn't matter now, it's just hindsight way after the fact now.
It clear you two never had a family member you tried to help but who couldn't stay out of trouble. Easy to call his parents snakes when you are not the one going through everything Jesse put them through. But not surprising considering you also think mass murdering, ego maniac, child poisoning Walt is not a bad person
"considering you also think mass murdering, ego maniac, child poisoning Walt is not a bad person" Make it more clear you didn't' watch their reactions lol they were saying that for a good half of the show
I think Jesse was the one that people were really wanting to find answers too. If they dove into other characters the movie would be just a jumbled up mess. And, plus they might have aged too much. I didn't even buy Tod's character, but I understand it was essentiall for the movie
You still have Better Call Saul. Starts very interesting, the middle can be kinda slow and not as exciting and to be honest the majority of the show is less action packed but it's more of a drama and filling in gaps in the backstory of a lot of characters and it provides TRUE closure of the plot. This movie didn't quite wrap it up. I will say though the last two seasons of Better Call Saul are AMAZING and are on par for action/excitement as you would expect from Breaking Bad.

Skinny Pete MVP this movie, completely saved / there till the end 🙏
I always wanted a Badger & Skinny Pete spin off.
Definition of ride or die
" I once told a girl I was Kevin Costner " xD
Robert Forster the actor who played new identity/vacuum repair guy died the day this movie was released
On the Breaking Bad podcast they actually say Forster passed only a few hours after watching the movie. His family credits the film being the reason he held on as long as he did.
Wow that's sad :( I'm glad he at least got to see it. Guy was an amazing actor.
Yess I just watched the El Camino commentary and Aaron Paul was saying he had talked to Robert Forster after he saw the movie the day it was released, just hours before he passed. He did a great job at that role
Did he really die, or did he just start a new life with a new name in Minnesota?
Aww I didn’t know this, devastating 😢
In regard to the Skylar thing,
I also hear you, however, in shows where we see life through the POV of different main characters, S&P also failed to empathize with some characters, because the flaws of characters they loved didn't bother them. For eg, _Game of Thrones._
S&P often failed to see all the ways Sansa is a prisoner of the Lannisters, and therefore a prisoner of Tyrion too.
Why all the Police? Ummm maybe because the military hardware they just found and the carnage that was left behind from it? LOL
and two federal agents were killed in the Heisenberg case too so Jesse is the most wanted man 😂
It picks up at the finale ending. Not sure how ya’pl missed that 😁. Skinmy peye and badger got 20K from Walt, that’s how they bought the new tv and video games
Yup. And the money from Walt was only a couple of days earlier.
They are so damn dumb 😂😂😂
Probably bc they did a bad job with Jesse’s makeup. His beard is far longer than in that same shot from Breaking Bad when he screams. It was botched for this sadly
The scene with Walt happened just after they had the dead RV battery.

Jesse Plemons (Todd) is a great actor. I am happy for him, having found some high quality work since Breaking Bad.
Still blows my mind that Landry of all the FNL cast has had the most dynamic career after the series ended. Its him and Michael B Jordan
He also got to marry Kirsten Dunst..
He's great in the tv series Fargo season 2. Kristen. D. is in it too.
There is a nice article about him (and Kirsten) in this month's Texas Monthly magazine.
This picked up immediately after the end of the finale. Not sure how that was missed
i absolutely agree with the decision to not jump immediately into better call saul. i love it so much, but too often I see people not appreciate it because it starts off slow, just like season 1 of breaking bad.
I dont think Spartan could BCS. It is WAY to slow for him. Not near enough action.
I watched BCS only a month after BB and I don’t think it interfered with the way I saw the series
Just a reminder that Aaron Paul never took acting classes and his character was supposed to be killed in season 1 if not for the writers strike, and yet Jesse's character lived to the very end
This "never took acting classes" part is pretty sus.

Pudgey’s face during the ‘unrolling/taking the belt’ scene was absolutely hilarious 😂
Why do they always get so confused about flashbacks haha
I know it’s so blatantly obvious every time and they always struggle 😂
They should make the flashbacks in black and white or other vague color like some directors do!
Give them a break, they're the smartest Australians.
because of the match cuts
somehow the show where the funniest joke is a pizza ending up on a roof... has a movie where the saddest line is "...pepperoni." and it's one of the saddest lines i've heard in a long time.
How can they not understand that this was literally after Breaking Bad.
They do understand that...watcha smokin?
They did
They don’t pay attention to what they’re watching half the time. It’s obvious if you watch two/three episodes back to back and not a few days apart as they upload them, they don’t remember important things from episode to episode, only after it’s pointed out again in comments do they remember. It’s more about trying to one up each other with “predictions” for them.

Questioning why Jessies parents have guns is kinda weird seeing as they live in the US.
The parents bought guns to protect themselves from Jesse 😂 jk, my 80 something year old grandma has a .22 in her glove box.
Jesse's parents were the real villains of the show
I like the juxtaposition of Jesse at the end of BB and the end of this.
"And just like that breaking bad is 100% complete".
You're wrong by six seasons
Lol
"Dude, you're my hero and shit."

That means heros also shit!!LOL
BCS adds way more context to breaking bad. It is definitely not finished until you watch BCS
Omg your faces when the cops pulled up at the vaccum store were priceless.😯😯
They weren't preparing for Jessie or anything, its just pretty normal for a family to have a couple guns in the house for protection in America, them being under lock like that is common.
This really gets into Todd. Like, up until the end of BB, you maybe had some doubts about him, but this 100% makes them sure.
The guy who plays the janitor in Todd's appartment complex, is Dennis & Dee's grandpa "Pop Pop" in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".
So ummmmmm. This is America lol. Having a couple of handguns in the home is the norm. Jesse's parents having guns isn't a big deal.
I loved this movie, but esp the ending - a perfect alter image of his ending in Breaking Bad - driving away, stressed and screaming. End of El Camino -- driving away, freer than he's been since he was a drug addict years ago, and at some measure of peace. Just amazing.
"You did your best." was Jesse's "I did it for me."
I like to think that Jesse started doing woodwork and became the carpenter he dreamed of when he was a prisoner

You unlocked Better Call Saul like a playable character
I found New Mexico very fasinating for potential tourism!
Also Jesse was a frigging adult for Pete sake. He wasn’t a child that they just abandoned…
Totally agree. The parents were doing exactly what you're told to do: stop enabling.
No where as good as Breaking Bad
Is so weird when someone who has not watch "Better call Saul" said that this story is complete or finished.. can't wait to see their reaction if they decide to watch that show.
Jesse Plemons is awesome, hes currently one of my favorite actors, everything Ive seen him in hes great, in breaking bad you would think hes just someone next door but the dude has serial killer traits, great actor.
The flashback with Mike was immediately before they both told Walt that they were "out" in season 5. The diner season with Walt was immediately after the RV battery died & they were stranded in the desert, hence why Jesse was in the tub & wanted the pitcher of water.
and immediately before Walt nakey in a grocery store 😂
Interesting that the writers/producers actually listened to viewers and made this movie. Don't know too many times that has happened.

“And just like that Breaking Bad is officially complete” ………. Well….almost……
They were scared out of their minds that they'd get killed by a hitman, I definitely think they'd give Walt Jr. the money.

Badger and Skinny Pete deserve their own spin-off.
Better call Saul !! That’s the real ending to breaking bad

The spider has outlived the boy who captured it, and three of the four-man crew involved with the robbery that caused the boy's death.
the ending of these characters that you mentioned at the beginning of the video is already very clear and decided, Walter Jr and Skayler are living their normal lives traumatized by Walter, Saul ran away that's all we know but in better call saul it's much more explained, Marie stayed widow living with this weight, Walter died, Jesse in this film tells his journey, I believe that the creator of Breaking Bad didn't want to make scenes of characters living their normal lives because that would be very crude, the way it was done it was good, it was with our own imagination in this fictional world

your mods/regulars kinda missed the mark. they should have told you to learn what El Camino was about after finishing BB.
for years after BB ended, there's quite a lot of chatter in the fanbase that there's room for a Jesse post-BB movie to further conclude his story. so when this movie was announced it was explicitly described as exactly that, giving to that part of the fandom what they asked for.
again, your mods/regulars/patreon supporters should have at least given you the context.

"considering you also think mass murdering, ego maniac, child poisoning Walt is not a bad person"
Make it more clear you didn't' watch their reactions lol they were saying that for a good half of the show
I think Jesse was the one that people were really wanting to find answers too.
4:56omg lol you guys trip balls so much lol😂
"And now my watch begins"
**Me waiting for Better Call Saul reactions to drop

Just commenting on your most recent "Breaking Bad" movie review -- if you have not already done so, you should check out the UA-cam channel "Larry Lawton". He was a major crime figure and jewel thief in the US who spent 12 years in numerous US Federal maximum security prisons, and he does some UA-cam reviews of scenes from "Breaking Bad", especially the prison scenes, to review how realistic they are, and what actually happens in real life. He tells some great stories of prison life in the USA.
