Great video! Job well done. I really like this new format that you are doing! I own multiple OR2s and the quality is beyond belief. It compares nicely to my Sub and BB58. Ginault's watchmaking ability is really a unicorn in the micro brand field.
Your outdoor shots are refreshing. With your dedication to offer us these nice shots, incredible macro shots, and with your way to explain things, soon you 'll have enough subscribers to be in YT algorithm, no doubts. The quality of your videos are excellent. Bravo! And I love the watch shown here: the damasko 😉
Thanks so much mate, that's lovely to hear and I really appreciate your feedback. I try to make videos that I would enjoy watching so hopefully that audience is out there. I've reviewed the Damasko on my channel too, it's a lifer that one :)
What a great video and lovely photography. Just subbed. I’ve got an Ocean Rover 2 and I adore it, the quality is outstanding and I’m waiting on my Silent Service order to arrive.
Love the photography/videography and the macros. I really have not watched a review that is not overall positive. This exact model is the one Inwould consider.
beautifull watch ,very nice bracelet, nice hands, nice dial and. ......very nice review like always...i just order a australian duzu diver coral bay dwd2 i received her friday...nice day esjborn
I have the OR II and it is the highest quality watch in my collection. Beats out much more expensive watches. This one looks like a winner too. Simple don't care about the backstory and Rolex is on some kind of ethical pedestal?
Hopefully, the date model is larger. 41 mm is on the small side. I love that there are no crown guards. Those are usually ugly and get in the way. You did a nice job of explaining the exterior of the watch and dial. However, I wish you would have told us about the movement. You said “Swiss”, however, the dial says “kinetic”. When I think of kinetic I think of Seiko as they are the only maker of kinetic movements, to my knowledge. If I’m wrong, let me know. It would have been nice to know what the estimated accuracy of the watch is. I realize since it is a loaner you would not have that experience, but I would have to believe you would have a ballpark idea based on your research. Also, what does “Silent Service” refer to?
Hi Harold, thanks that's good feedback. I did mention it uses the Sellita SW200-1 Elabore Grade movement. You can normally expect +/- 12 seconds/day from that. Kinetic I believe refers more to the meaning of the actual word, energy from motion which you could argue every automatic watch offers! The name, good question, we'll have to ask Ginault on that one!
I have an SS, and there was one thing i noted even when looking on the website that bugged me - i still bought it at the price point, but it still bugs me to this day - it's a beautiful watch in hand, but (and i know it's purposely done for contrast) the unfinished insets around the outer edge of the bezel and winding arm (to me) would have looked of a higher grade if they had been polished - it's the only personal issue i have with the entire watch - it's a keeper as is, lol
Great video. I own several Rolex watches including a couple of subs, and SD43 anniversary, explorer II and a yacht-master40. Couple of Omegas and a GS plus 2 Tudors. I’ve owned an ORII which honestly take the most of my wrist time. I’ve watched your video 3 times now and reached out to John and happily ordered a SS Traveller with the date complication. Thanks for the video it’s helped me with confirming my purchase.
Nitpicks: But it's a homage (who cares?!!) / No Mercedes hour hand (at last, alleluia!) / Too many fonts on dial (get a life!) / Bezel is bidirectional and 60 clicks (...........so???) / US built [now that's a NO for me, don't care of their (fake IMO) pride] Marvelous shots mate and another great review. Thanks, be well, cheers (and many beers for many many years!).
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Maybe that, hints of French though...but, I would consider a serious brand would have their site proof-read? Chips away at confidence...
I take your word for the quality of the product, but in this day and age, to be that careless about your shop window, doesn't fill me with confidence to hand over a sizeable chunk of change...I'd compare with say, Serica....?

Great feedback, thanks so much 👍 and yeah the quality is extremely impressive!

I did a pre-order a couple of weeks ago and just noticed the quick release bracelet. Awesome bonus for me.

Thanks so much, and you will not be disappointed in the SS! 😊👍

Thank you very much and yes, this is also the one I’d purchase 👍
Very nice review. Do you have a Ginault watch still?
Thank you and yes it’s still around but with a friend at the moment. It’s a lovely watch 👍🏻
I just ordered it looks awesome
You won’t regret it 👍
How do you like your Ginault, Logan?

I love your shots and content. Your video helped me close the deal on helm miyako
Thanks so much mate, that's great to hear and I appreciate the comment.
I signed up for the Helm Moyako Wait List as well.
Very helpful! I just ordered one (and subscribed).
Thanks Martin!
Just got it yesterday and I love it (and I have some pretty swanky watches)!
Oh, and I got the 120 click bezel and it’s operation is “sublime.” It’s the sound of money, that is, it sounds like opening a safe.
Does the bezel accidentally turn when you're wearing it?
It’s happened only once so far
Great review as always.
I would consider buying one except for import charges into uk.
Keep up the good work. 🏴
Thanks and yeah, such a nuisance this issue 😑
They can ship within the UK for you from what I've read.
@@rolexsubcasewearsbettertha9571 unfortunately it’s the 20 % import tax. Probably still a good deal though?
@@Farmhouse1967 my impression is that when shipped within the UK, you won't have to deal with customs. But best to contact Ginault and make sure 😃
@stuartfoster795 in Canada we pay USD exchange 29%, + CC fee, + duty + 13% sales tax. Oh yes, plus courier fees.

Silent Service refers to the Navy’s submarine units.

When will they have a date version?
Reach out and ask them, they’re quite quick to answer usually

Thanks 🙂👍
You don't like homages, yet this rips off the dial of the Seamaster 300 large triangle as you've mentioned. Pretty inconsistent logic.
Thanks for the feedback

Interesting to read the Ginault website with regard to origin, it's written by someone for whom English is not their native tongue...🤔
Maybe someone like me 😊😉

Their website isn't all flashy and all that but don't let that fool you. The watches they built are truly amazing especially at this price point.
