  • This is my reaction, analysis and breakdown of Ariana Grande and Shoshanna Bean singing Jason Robert Brown/s “Brand New You.” This is the last of three songs from the video “Ariana Grande sings Jason Robert Brown,” and has been highly requested. The last of these two songs we got to hear some great riffs, runs, and mixed belts from Ariana. I was not familiar with Shoshanna Bean before this video but I’m very impressed by her ideas and soulful tone. Thank you again for showing me something new!

Congratulations on your Master's degree, you worked so hard for it. Also, best wishes on your new phases in life. I enjoyed this reaction video a lot, due to your in-depth analysis. Comparing both artists singing style gave me a better understanding why this performance sounded so well. Both artists were singing hard together and sounded great. Looking forward to your next video.

Congratulations on getting your Master's! (also your cat's timing was hilarious)
You pick up and articulate so many details, and then even recreating some of these notes. So fun and educational, thank you!
Shoshona Bean is such a powerhouse, but she's not really known outside of the musical theatre scene. Glad to see people find her through Ari's musical theatre performances :D
I dunno if you know the history of this song, but Ariana Grande was one of the feature singers on this track during her Broadway debut in the musical 13. It might be fun to see how young teenaged Ari performed this, either on the original Broadway cast album, the live promo performance on stage, the casual acapella version she did for her UA-cam that has been reuploaded, or the bootleg floating around on the internet.
i also would enjoy your diving into Shoshana's catalogue, or Jessica Vosk who is also a musical theatre powerhouse, but more widely known for her creativity. For example, Shoshana and Jessica have both played Elphaba in Wicked, and some of the more insane riffs are known as being Jessica's :P
    Thanks again for reacting!
edit: Oh, and this song is short because it's the like epilogue song that plays as they leave the stage as a 'last hurrah' sorta thing. It features some of the more minor roles in the company and gives them a chance to shine.

Thank you so much!! Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave me such a well written comment! It makes my day when people write to me like this.
Yeah I think I had heard of Shoshanna in passing but never listened before! I am not a musical theater singer at all but have discovered a lot of new things through subscribers like you! I really enjoyed her voice.
I actually didn’t know this was from 13. And I don’t know who Jessica Vosk is but I will have to look her up!! i really enjoyed this performance and would love to dive in deeper! Thank you for watching and for sharing some info with me ❤️

Hey girl, I just finished the first 7 episodes of Stranger Things season 4!!! The final 2 episodes are releasing July 1st!!!! Stranger Things season 1, 2, and 3 have had hour long episodes. However, this season’s episodes are over an hour long! The shortest episode is 1 hour and 4 minutes while the longest episode is 1 hour and 40 minutes!!! I’ve heard the two part finale dropping on July 1st is going to be over 2 hours long!!! Idk if the last two episodes combined are over 2 hours long or both episodes are over 2 hours long, but either way, it’ll be a wild ride!!! These first 7 episodes are intense! This season is so much darker than season 2, 3 and even 1 in my opinion! Season 4 tops all the previous seasons for me!! Now that the kids are much older, the Duffers (writers and directors of the show) are leaning more into that horror vibe, and this season will even make your skin crawl. I loved it!!! I cannot wait for the finale!!!! PS: I loved the video btw❤️🥰❤️

Hey there!! I was looking for your comment. Oh no they haven’t even released the whole season that’s so much suspense!! Maybe I’ll wait until the whole season is out to watch it. But you’re seriously convincing me! I remember enjoying season 1 and I do like a creepy horror vibe. I love that you like season 4 because I find a lot of shows start off strong and just get worse. But I’ll need to check it out ASAP.
And THANK YOU for watching and leaving me a comment😌💓

When you try to do aris notes they are too airy, she makes it more chesty, it's still heady but there is still power yk

I know, my voice has a lot of air in it. It’s something I’m currently working on.

Omg thank u SO much ❤️ I’ve studied her a lot but we do have similar voice types. she is a bit more powerful than I and I have more air in my voice, but I’m not as good at imitating other people! :) thanks for this comment it made me smile
