- Really liking the progress of the game. The farming feature looks really kool. Really like the icons that pop up on top of the plants to tell in what state the plants are in. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
- I never use couruntines for longer processes, because it gives me very little control over the time something takes. Your problem with the growth is a good example. Most of the time a timer variable that gets incremented with time.deltatime is the better option imo.
- looks incredible. Great progress on this already. It was really cool watching the streams and then being able to come here and check the finished product. I'm loving the planter models.
- It probably doesn't fit the ultimate goal of the project but I do love the look of the giant plants, Makes it feel like it fits the floating in the sky style to me. Otherwise, Loving the dev logs! keep it up :)
The temporary model looks like a stone, and it reminds me of an anvil... one that you can't move, maybe that could be a feature? Tools or whatever you can't move so you have to just find them or go back to the island, and eventually you may be able to craft your own and put it on your own ship? Also are you going to find plants in the wild, seeds in the wild or bags of seeds in the wild? Also what if dead plants could be used as compost for other plants to grow?
Hello, I usually don't watch this kind of content but because of spending so much time just coding and developing games the past weeks I felt very drawn to watch your video, and I'm glad I decided to watch! Your editing is very satisfying and high quality, it's done very nicely and the video was also very enjoyable to watch! I just wanted to see how someone else would approach the creation of a farming system for their game and look at their way of doing things, and I got to learn that you are very fast at developing, a lot faster than me at least, haha. What caught my attention the most in the entire video is the UI in Visual studio, those icons look a lot more clean and appealing than the default UI in Visual Studio and they match Unity's icons which is really cool, is this just an UI update in Visual Studio 2022 (I use 2019) or is this something custom you installed?
In a video I said I like this game so I will add it. I agree that trying to get your favorite games to your project can be a big problem for the scope. I will be careful but I think basic farming system suits every survival game.
also please make it so chests can snap to the center of a floor piece. in survival games it is so annoying how it takes ages to align something perfectly
make template airship exteriors where you build the interior, but on the outdide it looks like airship. this would not be too hard to code, i can code so i know
@@sypdev just letting you know there will be a long conversation in the community tab tomorrow about the xenomon game and what to expect as soon as my parents wake up all of your answers will be revealed tomorrow about the story the gameplay alots of stuff I hope you will be happy and you may be happy
Looks very nice 👍!!!
Thank you!
-good progress
Glad you like it!

Thanks man for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. The editor I use is called Rider from JetBrains. They have a free student license.
@@sypdev Ohhhhhh I see thank you for telling me! I will definitely look into it
"Don't let me plant? Great! Let me plant? Insane! ✋🤚"
This is one of the greatest moments in farming history 😂
- And yes thanks for the update! Great progress!
Haha, true :D
- The pots models are awesome :) this is coming up very well. Will you need dirt to build them or it will magically appear like in raft?
I think you will need dirt for the crafting recipe, but after that it will be endless.
@@sypdev that make sense, for sure more then in raft ahahah
Wanting to make multiple games into 1 is a trap every devs had experience. Be carefull!
I mean, it's a survival... You need farming as a core feature, it's not "another game". Just my opinion (maybe i didn't understood the comment)

-This awesome! How you did the model change?
Thanks man, i just destroyed the previous stage and instantiate next growth stage model.
@@sypdev Thanks
You have plenty of dream games
I dream a lot!
- I still think the plants are too big... makes me feel like the player is 4 feet tall 😂
true :D
