- In an exclusive interview with NewsNation, a friend of one of the suspects charged with the murder of the missing Kansas moms said he was shocked by the killings. Vincent Forbes, a local municipal court judge who says he’s a friend of suspect Tad Cullum, 43, expressed disbelief at the unfolding events. NewsNation national correspondent Brian Entin tells NewsNation's
Ashleigh Banfield that since speaking out, Forbes has now been forced to resign.

Honestly it was stupid of the judge to comment it makes them look bad so I kind of understand. It's a conflict of interest for sure.
@@brenda4085 Judge was between a rock and a hard spot. The interview was an effort to clear his name and distance himself from the perpetrators to the community at large. They all know each other, and had to have known he had business dealings. I think he was gonna take a fall anyway. Who would trust him if he hadn’t spoken up? Murderers for the most part are pretty stupid because they have obvious emotional ties to their victims. What third grader couldn’t have figured this out? How did they think they would ever get away with it? I hope the mom’s family lives far away and is able to get her children out of that hellhole; that they don’t wind up in foster care on top of everything else.

@@bambooprincess3495sorry but that’s a load of nonsense. There is zero evidence to support the idea that a judge can’t be effective because someone he thought he knew decided to be an evil monster and murder two women. The only person being honest in that area Is The Judge. He didn’t violate any oath nor did he do anything illegal. His name will be in the public records because he happened to be there at the time of the FBI raid. So his name was going to be or was already out there. Sure he could say no comment. Me, too. The judge said nothing inappropriate.
yeah, that's really suspicious. i work in the legal system in a state with lots of small rural communities, and of course judges know people within their communities - they went to high school with them, they were their lawyer before they were a judge, they coached their kids in little league, they were business partners, etc. normal protocol is just to recuse themselves from cases involving people they personally know in order to avoid conflicts of interest. you don't just force the judges out or we'd have no judges left.

But you don't know _WHY_ do you ??? ...If you did know why, then you'd know that your assertion is completely ridiculous as that only applies the litigants involved because people frequently mis-state things on accident, which could later be perceived as untrustworthy by the Court & by jurors. That's why Council advise their Clients NOT to talk before Court: Because of accidental mis-statements. But that doesn't even matter if you're not a Plaintiff or a Defendant. He's just a witness. Great reporting
Brian never breaks eye contact while interviewing. For me that’s hard to do but this man is great at what he does
Dude, he prepared his report _IN ADVANCE_ and he still broke eye contact four times: 1st, when he mentioned the weather, and a 2nd time, when he recalled the memory of the Homeowner's reaction. 3rd, when asked about "the twist" with this story. And 4th, when he had to reference his notes for the NAME of the Cult. And that's completely natural: Just Google, "Lying Eyes": it explains how our eyes involuntary move when we're accessing different parts of our Brain: And it's used to determine if someone is accessing actual memories, OR, if they need to filter their words 1st, OR, if they're just creating a story out of thin air.
None of this applies when he's asking the Judge questions: And it's not about "eye contact": It's about taking in everything: Body Language, Facial Expressions, Tone of Voice, as well as involuntary Eye Movements: All of these indicators can help you determine if the subject is being truthful or deceptive.
