@@draw2death421 The original flesh that hates article on the scp (which is 610, not 601 by the way), is not the flesh that hates mod. The mod came after the article, and is not affiliated with it in any manner other than sharing subject matter. The sculk horde mod might not predate the article, but it does predate the mod that adds the described pathogen into Minecraft. Furthermore, why are you bringing up the article when this is about the mod adding it, not the scp wiki article?
This would be good for a story let's play or a hard core challenge.
I think this mod would be very cool mixed with deeper and darker, so when you activate a other side portal the infection begins and you need some items from the other side to stop the infection (maybe items from the stalker or something like that)
that sounds super cool! very lovecraftian- would make an awesome adventure pack, especially if you could find written books warning about the portal and infection as loot, or something like that

ngl, this is the best infection mod in my opinion. as weird as it sounds, it feels kinda at-home with minecraft, with tons of mobs having infected variants and even having their own purposes that relate to vanilla minecraft like the bees. it also never just goes completely off the rails like Scape and Run either

Sculk really is mid sadly. You do not get anything from this mod. The fungal infection spore mod gives you insane gear for killing infected mods, but the sculk mod just infects and thats it

Hope the game adds something like this, maybe you can open the portal and then collect items from infected mobs to trigger a boss. Better than to just have it sit there and do nothing.
I am not really fan of how the mobs looks like. Most of them look like they would be stage 1 mobs in any other infestation mod, especially the ravager. It would be better if later stages introduced more mobs that dont look like vanilla mobs in shape and look like they are made of pure sculk like Warden.
it's designed around vanilla gear, unlike other infestation mods, so the mobs relatively weak compared to stuff like flesh that hates or spore
at some stage the horde will be able to create sculk monstrosities.

One of the few infection mods that actually has an ending. Very good for a server or pack where you dont need a constant threat ticking down the tps indefinitely.
