Thank God Marion Crofts murder was solved due to DNA. I had a Crofts Grandmother who married Richard Wallin in Leicestershire in 1794. Always loved the Croft name. RIP Marion.
Researching these crimes and the discovering the convictions years later, brings home how crucial DNA profiling has become in catching monsters. So much is owed to Sir Alec Jeffreys. Without him there would have been more victims and more innocent people in prison. Needs a statue
Thank God Sarah Payne’s murderer was found and convicted. Her poor Grandfather Terence Payne and brothers. When I was young we played in my Uncle’s cornfield.
