What a blessing that you chose to showcase Howard Homecoming 2019! As a 1985 graduate its been as least that long since I last attended, so it was good to see the current students “out” and having a wonderful time. Next year as you suggested please attend “The Game” because the game is really where old school meets new school and all school connections are made similar to what you experienced at SpelHouse. Just like any school, attending “The Game” brings out the true bond, the true love for the institution! And yes, at the game you can readily distinguish alumni from other institutions. Howard Homecoming has always drawn alumni from all other HBCU’s. At the game you’ll see them dressed in their particular school finery and making real live connections since Howard Graduate and Professional Schools attract students to attend from every other HBCU. So, yes! Attending “The Game” is a whole other experience kicked up a notch and most people go looking fabulous and bougie and you’d fit in. That’s the Howard Homecoming Tradition; but you only see that at “The Game”. Hint: Diamonds, pearls, furs, and cashmeres are expected. It’s AfroDiasporic Networking at a superb contact level. You’ll love it!
