I used to have a library of reading material in the bathroom... not since the switch to a whole food plant-based diet!
It's quick work to take care of business now.
It may sound strange, but after finishing up, I leave the restroom in a really good mood now. Perhaps it's because all those years beforehand the task seeming like childbirth. Or with the fiber, maybe I'm cheerful because I finish up feeling 15 pounds lighter!
Yeah, too much info there ;-)

like wow. 25 grams for people on the higher fiber test, which as she pointed out is still too low, seems very low.
My breakfast alone is 46 grams of fiber.
A total low fiber day would be 50 grams with my "norm" being around 70 grams.

Yeah, these fibre intakes are pathetic. African nations with extremely low colon cancer rates were eating 60-120 grams per day.

Chuck Carroll- having had clinical depression and chronic anxiety disorder too, I just wanted to relay that a whole food plant based diet has reversed both of these conditions. Therapy helped but the diet finished off both of these!

When you say "under served communities"? A can of beans is cheaper than a burger. "Under servered" citizens can make better choices. It comes down to personal choices.

I eat a ton of fiber and my colon is in knots. I cannot eliminate the fiber. I end up then eating less fiber because i cant eat at all. I have eaten only plants..healthy whole foods... for the last seven years and i had seven polyps removed. I dont understand.

Risks for colon cancer: Genetics, smoking, obesity, lack of exercise, IBD, Type 2 diabetes. So if you have none of those, and don't eat a lot of fiber, what is your risk of getting colon cancer? Probably a lot less than a big fiber eater who smokes, is fat, sits on his butt all, and has T2 diabetes.

Uhhhh, except that South Africans are a completely different ethnic group than so-called "african Americans". You could have just as well compared African American men to Irish Men.
