Gorr was easily the best part of the film. Jane is next cause she at least had something of an arc (although they kinda ruined it with the reveal Thor told his hammer to keep her safe instead of her just being worthy.)

I just realized, after watching this trailer for the 4th time, that Jane says “what’s it been 3-4 years?” then Thor says “8 years 7 months 6 days!” That’s because Jane was “blipped” away for 5 years. So to her it was that amount of time, but for Thor it was 5 years longer. Pretty cool detail.

Thank you, Marvel! I finally saw this movie tonight, and I cried TWICE. I have metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer too. One of the hardest moments in my life was telling my husband. I had to pause the movie after that moment when Jane told Thor, and my husband and I held each other while I pulled it together. It was such a relief that Taika Waititi allowed for a good heap of levity in this movie, or I'd have been a sobbing puddle of feels by the end.
If anyone ever reads this, please encourage regular breast exams!! They woulda CURED my cancer had it been caught sooner. I waited until, like Doctor Jane Foster, I was tired all the time. It didn't hurt and I wasn't sick, just made me super sleepy. Don't wait for symptoms; please do regular exams.
My heart goes out to you. May you recover soon , God willing 💞

Every scene with Thor is full of color while every scene with Gorr is black and white. It's a perfect contrast between the colorful life of the Gods versus Gorr's more brutal life and background.

@@turtlebot323 debatable tbh. He lived on a poverty struck planet and his people prayed daily to be saved. But nothing ever came. Eventually his wife and child died. His wife was hit want an earthquake and his child died of starvation. Parents were lost at a young age too. He then told his ppl that the gods didn’t care or that there was no gods. His people then exiled him and that’s when he came across the aftermath of 2 gods fighting, both were basically dead. One of which had the all black and that’s wut gave him his powers.
I was so impressed by the performance of Christian Bale. Like wow man, he was so good. It's a shame they made the film a little too goofy. Could have been a bit serious.

It was a little too goofy at times but the serious, moving moments and the kickass action won me over in the long run.
I really enjoyed the movie, but it was too goofy at times. Also they ruined Zeus. I feel like Gorr was done great, maybe a little rushed. Most of the complaints about this film I dont really agree with besides mine above.

I honestly felt betrayed after I saw Thor Love and Thunder cause the trailer is so much better than the movie.
Everyone who says Thor shouldn’t have been funny in this movie LITERALLY forgot that he was funny in Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame. And it worked in all three
Except Ragnarok had a nice balance of seriousness and comedy. But in L&T the comedy was *SO* juvenile, dumb, annoying, bloated and extremely exhausting.

I love the little touch that implies that Jane Foster was snapped for 5 years. Thor could not have her support during the hard times that followed his failure in Infinity War, which explains partly how he downspiraled into his "Dad Bod". he even counted the days they didn't see each other.

I would say it had no potential of being good.....all the problems with this were already present in the previous one, Ragnarok. They turned Thor into a punchline. Very different from the Thor in the first film. And they wasted so much of the Azguard and Thor lore. Like compare it to Black Panther where they build out Wakanda. Azguard was only ever used for useless gags after the first film. It's like when BVS was announced and I was already concerned....because MOS might of been a good film. But was also poorly written. Snyder is not good with character building. Dark world was bad, but that was on the writer and director. Not because it was serious. They used the same logic in the DCEU. After BVS failed. They tried to add marvel quips to everything. When DC's best films were dark and serious.....Joker, Dark Knight, the Batman......

@@noobmaster69426 He started to feel dumber in those movies......like intellectually dumber. In the first movie he was a fish out of water. But he wasn't an idiot. They ruined the character.....and Ragnorok might of been a fun film.....like how Fast and the Furious is fun. But it's not remembered for it's story or character development. I think after Dark world.....they pivoted. To a more Guardians type of story telling. Just like what they did in DC. After BVS failed..... they decided dark and gritty was the problem and it never was. So they copied Marvel, but Marvel uses comedy as a crutch. And it ruins great storytelling. To turn every serious moment into a punchline. Matt Reeves the Batman and the Joker proves that dark and gritty was never the problem. Only the directing and writing.
@@wkadalie but Ragnarok led up to Infinity War and Thor awakened his power; he even overpowered the Hulk. Also, Ragnarok was good only bc of the writers. Love and thunder failed because the director had too much creative freedom.
