After watching a few of your videos, I have to say, your commentary is really fair. Seeing the meal visually, my wife and I really appreciate your honesty. Especially with this meal, we can still feel your kindness. Thank you for sharing. Salut!

Your ratings line up with my thoughts as well. If it was a bit cheaper, I might be swayed differently though. Great review!

Am I mistaken in thinking the whole box of Uni was a huge dish? 🤔

1/3 the price if you go to Japan

Yup! That's why Katsu is only worth local travel

It all looked kind of amateurish to be honest. No disrespect to the chef I’m sure it tasted fine. Just things like clumsily using the plastic wrap to cut the rolls. I know it is a common thing but even then it was done so poorly

Not sure if I can agree with calling Chef Katsu amateur, but he's definitely not at the same level as the highly rated sushi chefs in Japan

Imagine spending $260 and getting disposable bamboo chop sticks 😂🤦. That was first sign. Yeah it doesnt look that great. Of course way better than your local average sushi joint but I think the $150 omakase I had in NYC looked way better. It must not be very good, checking reservations there are openings pretty much any day and there are only 8 seats. Most good omakase like that are booked out a lot more in advance
