  • CP4 failures and fixes is one of our most requested topics and we tackle it on today’s episode. Kyle from Hot Shot’s Secret is on the show to tell us what causes it and how it can be minimized. CP4 failures applies to all three brands and this product could save thousands on a costly repair.

    What's good for a 2019 ford f250 6.7 I usual use amsoil 5w40 6x with 32oz motorkote hyper lubricant with the fuel I use gray and white diesel Kleen as I travel for work all year got 67k miles on the 6.7

      Diesel Kleen is the Walmart of fuel additives. Opti-lube is the king with just a few others being decent such as Amsoil and Hotshots. Hotshots still haven’t provided any tests of their product against Opti-lube.

    I like to see a guest to discuss proven combinations to make loads of streedable torque for a mechanical 12v p-pump that doesn't smoke or cook pistons. Injectors, delivery valves, turbos, ect

    • @bdjm8595

      @timothymroberts2949 2 роки тому

      @@aaron___6014 I'm not into combinations at Cook Pistons or blow black smoke. Also, that isn't what I stated in my comment. Just because you don't like old technology doesn't mean that there's not others that do. Common-rail is great technology. Modern common-rail is on The Cutting Edge of Technology. Newsflash, deepam technology was cutting-edge 40 years ago. I can say with a great deal of certainty had carb or the EPA never been formed, the likelihood of us having common rail is pretty slim. It is stricter emissions requirements that has driven the innovation of common rail Technologies

      @@timothymroberts2949 your comment suggests that you want a modified 12v. And modifying a 12v can come with the problems you listed, so I'm wondering why you even want to risk modifying the 12v?

    • @timothymroberts2949
      @timothymroberts2949 2 роки тому

      @@aaron___6014 I want a modified 12v like you want to be broke. I'm interested in modification of any 12vs personally. It's more about learning. You wouldn't be able to make big power with comman rail if others hadn't spent time and money into r&d. There is nothing to say you can't make mechanical behave like common rail. Never say it can't be done in the face of those who are doing it. Anything is possible. We all can learn something new from pushing the envelope. 40 years ago it was said you could make 400 plus hp from a Detroit 6v71....well in 1981 my father build a 6v71 that made 435hp at 1400 rpm and smokes the dyno...nobody said it could be done....well he did. There wasn't an engine dyno west of the Mississippi that could handle the power output.... my point is we all can gain from innovation. The advantage to mechanical is if the electrical power completely fails, old mechanicals will be be able to function. Long live the p7100

  • @JohnGriffith8
    @JohnGriffith8 3 місяці тому

    I'm not saying the theories here (and they are theories) are correct or not, but stating "same trucks" in Europe is nonsense. There aren't a bunch of LML's or 6.7 Power Strokes running around Europe. Yes, Audi and others use the CP4 but there are differences in their overall system. Simply stating that the "only difference" is the fuel isn't true. I do believe that the fuel standards are likely a core issue, but I don't believe that it's the "only" issue. Sorry, but I don't trust GM, Ford or even Cummins to not cut corners anywhere/everywhere they can. And yes, I own/drive both an LML and a Ram with a cummins as well as an Audi diesel all at or over 100K miles. I run Hotshots EDT in my LML but I don't believe for a second that it's "the one thing" that's making a difference here. I hope I'm wrong and it is, but I highly doubt it.
