Thats because the Batteries. They are located in the floor so the car become low gravity point and in the other hand a strong base that makes a strong structure
P R There have not been any signs of an E-Tron battery burning since the car is on the streets. Nor has there been a single instance of a Model 3 battery burning since they started production in 2017. Hundred thousands of these cars are on the streets. If there was a burning battery problem, we would have noticed. Believe me, it would have been in the title pages of the German press ;)
Rollo Martins If the battery cells get punctured it will start to burn, that’s just physics. Lithium cells exposed to oxygen causes them to inflame and burn down leaving toxic gases.
The future Elaine/Sportback and the GT sure look better, but from the current Audi line the only the A5 and the Q8 are better looking from the outside than the E-Tron. The I-Pace also looks better but is smaller and cost the same or more, so the E-tron is a very well placed luxury SUV, specially taking in consideration that to get a decent equiped Q8 you need to spend near 100.000 €; whereas the a E-Tron full of features cost around 85.000 €.
@@joehew1641 The E-Tron and the Q8 are the only two Audis with octogonal grill instead of the hexagonal one present in every other model, plus the inverted "L" fron lights make them easy to be recognized (every other one is using a slanted trapezoid. The A5 still manages to look good due the coupe proportions, but for the others (especially the SUVs: Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q7) there's no hope: currently even the Volkswagen ones looks better (Tiguan, T-Roc). That's why I think the E-Tron looks better than most of other Audis: keeps the language design but the lights and the grill stand out.
Best side pole test result I've ever seen
I think the Tesla Model 3 has the highest side test score. A good benefit to having the batteries in the floor and the extra rigidity it brings.

It's so rigid and safe

Why no rear end test? People get run into from behind all the time.
probably because no one sits in the trunk and all new cars come with headrests

Are these test run when battery is on?
doesnt matter. if they would get damaged they'd still burn off.
Off course, how can the car activate the airbags without its battery
Sebastian Dziewanowski uhm, there is still the 12V running i guess.
PR is right, it actually doesnt matter.

EVERYBODY BECAUSE ITS AN ELECTRIC CAR IT HAS A VERY STRING FLOOR BECAUSE OF THE BATTERIES
Well a string floor can't be good. Won't be able to hold the weight!
Joshua Booth Let’s hope it’s some very strong and tight fiber of some sort. Atleast we don’t need AC.

The cars break up too much too expensive to fix
Dude that's what happens with a car if it crashes into something
If it didnt break up, it wouldn't absorb energy. If it doesn't absorb energy, then the energy transfers to the occupant.
