It wouskbt be such a pain if tou didnt have to back patch the gsme caus ewhen they put oht dlcs they change the base gsme to try to force you to get the dlc by taking out options. Stellaris is one good example

Then this comes out with new mechanics and changes a bunch of stuff... The Portugese focus tree made me come back, and now I'm so used to the spy system that it'd be weird without it. I do kind of miss the coup mechanic, though🤣
taking this out was one of the worst things back then staging coups was actually fun and easy to do back then but now its not worth to even try and only few coups
