The people of Chicago enthusiastically voted for her 4 years ago and gave her a fair chance but she ended up being woefully incompetent and the more she talks the more she reveals about the reasons for her incompetence.

I’m extremely proud of Chicago for cancelling a bad mayor. They’ve got to learn to vote based off of resume & character and NOT color of skin.
She wasn't a bad or incompetent, she was a rookie. Plus she was hit with challenges out of the box: CTU strike, pandemic, a BAD lying police chief in Johnson, the looting downtown which caught everyone off guard. She was just getting her wheels going in the 3rd year.

Lori ran on the platform of being Black, a woman, & GAY as her ticket in. She won. She did a few things for Blacks, women, & gays. HOWEVER not enough. She had a huge ego, constant fights with everybody, and felt Chicago was her way or the highway. As a Black woman myself, Lori, horrible Police Chief David Brown, and awful Kim Fox needed and needs to go!! Putting Brandon Johnson in would be a horrible step even further backwards. He's got this looney tune, passive approach to this harsh crime problem.
The only thing she accomplished was making crime worse.

I live here in Chicago and I can tell ya this is all too typical of her approach to leadership and everything involved. First of all and for her entire 4 years, she has remained significantly out of touch with the issues that mattered most to our city and to us as residents. And likewise, when confronted by our local reporters and City Council members, she as passed the buck, cast the blame and whined like some kind of misunderstood and unappreciated victim. The reality is that her priorities never really resonated with ours as city residents, she never went after what was really important to all of us, she wasn't effective and she never took extreme ownership. So we all just said........bye, bye. lol
People like lightfoot will always try to blame non-existant racism rather than the real issue of lack of character and THEIR racist attitudes.
I know, I unfortunately have to work with two folks similar to her.
And it's incredibly difficult for all of us in our department and small company.

Lori Lightfoot’s gender and race didn’t seem to be a problem for her when she was elected. Seems more like a MASSIVE failure of leadership and policies to me. One month ago a group of BLK citizens in the Woodlawn neighborhood implored her to “stop dumping immigrants” in their neighborhood, and they warned her they would not be voting for her. She was a terrible mayor! Period.
