This channel is absolutely unreal. Please, please keep going at it.
Agreed,excellent content
up the celts
Only downside is Hendry being a blue nose 😂. Great channel as you said!
@@ADEOLADEEBO he’s a jambo
100% not seen nuffin like this. Stephen hendry official. Need get higgins on show.
At 24:25 Neil forgot that he has to play a red ball because he played the blue before. He played the black after the blue.He was more focused on the conversation:))
yeap. I also noticed XD
I noticed that too
Yeah I was thinking to made a comment but u did that , obviously Neil too focus on the conversation 😂
It would be funny if Hendry called him out. Sorry mate that's a foul where I come from.
@@georgesotiriou7051 Stephen must have missed it, he would take that 7 all day long
After Steve Davis and Jimmy White, it is great to see another legend like Stephen still being active in the snooker world after his retirement from competitions.
Stephen blew them both out the water
@@jourdontempleton8771 took the game to a different level brung the more aggressive attacking snooker we see now… it was pick the loose ones off and then open them ..he was the first one that opened the pack as quick as possible and he was very good at it obviously different class in his prime
Jimmy White legend ?
@@NNC93 Tony Knowles was the first to develop that shot!
@@patrickkelly7085 His impact on the sport is undeniable. If we go by strict bean counting then sure, we can perhaps revoke the accolade, but it would be a shame for a handful of frames to be the basis on which to do so.
“he’s a fair weather supporter,he ditched me for O’Sullivan”-lmao!
Stephen has a way of telling a story that makes me laugh.
Stephen asks the right questions and talks about the game in real terms ,so much more interesting than the tv pundits asking the same question over and over again in the studio .Loving the channel, keep it up
Would be nice if he didn’t cut him off all the time though…
Definitely. The TV presenters have never picked up a cue in there life. Stephen is a natural presenter and should be like Match of the day Lineker but for snooker
@@jeffroberts3535apart from the fact Stephen is absolute class and Liemaker is a complete prick I totally agree. I get your drift though.
i love how neil potted the blue, then talked just long enough for everyone to forget he was on a red… then potted the black :). ( another great interview! loving this channel )
I could listen to this conversation all day. Neil is so down to earth and an exceptional player
That was awesome! I want a longer episode now... That means one thing: you simply HAVE TO do an episode with Peter Ebdon! 2 frames. 2 hours. 😁
Peter Ebdon has no place in this sport, lacking skill and choosing to psychological grind someone down doesn’t make for a spectators sport!
@@Handless_handle In his prime though, he was a good player. He would often find entries to attack from opponents safety plays by hitting very difficult shots. Once his potting declined though, he basically resorted to the grind. Not against the rules, but not that great to watch.
A peter ebdon best of 3 would be at least a 5 episode series
@@Ownedyou disagree hugely, he lacked agile skill and took to emotional control, a terrible and distasteful player in my
Opinion
You're a glutton for punishment...
Hendry such a humble bloke considering he was easily the best snooker player of his generation and maybe even of all time? Also, absolutely love it when he's commentating! He really elevates any game he's commentating on with his passion and insight! Must be hard going from being the best to struggling to make a 50 break but the guy is pure class about it! Someone to learn from!
I'd say Hendry is the GOAT, though Ronnie will pass him this year. He is a great ambassador for the sport though, no doubt about that!
@@Ownedyou out of curiosity, why is hendry the current GOAT for you?
@@jaketew2032 Titles and overall career. Ronny has the same number of World's but he has to one up to really overtake. Which he will.
@@Ownedyou yeah fair play. I think it’s pretty tight personally but lean towards Ronnie just because of the way he plays the game, don’t think anyone else could do it the way he can
@@Ownedyou Ronnie has more titles than Hendry - apart from world championships where they’re tied.
Having the camera move around so you get the perspective of being there and observing the shots is what is special. You can learn a lot more this way. Try to get more input about what the player is attempting with the cue ball and how close they come.
I always back Neil and he is so enjoyable to watch play.
Hello from Newcasle Australia
I'm a Newcastle United fan in English Premier League
G'day mate! Throw another shrimp on the barbie
Hi Stephen. The best snooker UA-cam channel around at the moment. Don't give up on it please.
watching Hendry play didn't think he would be one of the best or best in the commentary box and interviews but he is
I love how Hendry waits to ask a question while Neil takes a shot
Hendry to me is the legend of snooker. Loving this channel.x
These two enjoyed each other's company immensely. So nice to see great players outside of tournament play.
This is something Hendry needed to do a long time ago but better late than never from the Snooker legend. The greatest long Potter under pressure I've ever seen in Snooker was Mr.Hendry and he proved how good he can still be still at the beginning of the second frame where he pots the long red and takes the 2 reds away from the black landing perfect on it and he called it before taking the shot.
This channel is amazing, Hendry is a blessing for snooker.
This is AMAZING, few frames and a good chat with Stephen Hendry, every snooker a fans dream come true.
Mmm very intresting and personal interview. Found it very useful to hear how you both understood and executed your practice sessions. Quality content 👍🏼. I'm hoping this channel is not abandoned like so many pros have done before. Snooker in the UK and world needs a quality YT channel.
Good point.
Neil potting the black after the blue he potted at 20:30 😂
I can see why that happened
just watching Stephen Hendry makes me remember the VHS days and puts a big smile on my face always a legend
Ha, all forgot about that,! Tape the tv broadcast, come home, rewind the tape, and then the crazy quality of those tapes playing them 😆
Probably one of the best snooker episodes I've ever seen. I'm 54 and watched a shit-ton of snooker, but this is just right. A couple of snooker legends having a really interesting natter over a table. Amazing content. Hendry the relentless WC winning machine vs Hendry the affable pundit - are they the same person!? 😉
Just found this...straight onto subscribe! Not only the greatest player I've ever seen (along with Ronnie), but also the best commentator. And that's from an Englishman!! Good on you, mate...snooker isn't the same without you, Mr Hendry.
Great channel really happy you started it SH! When Neil was on 12 he potted the blue, then the black with the rest! Anywayz 2 amazing snooker players 😄
Greetings from Ukraine! Thank you for this channel! It’s like a dream come true! Don’t stop!❤
Stephen Stephen this is such a treat, as long as I've watched snooker you're one of the most inspirational players and I really love this behind the scenes casual chatting over shots great production mate from an American snooker player to you thank you
You're getting very good at this interviewing lark! So interesting to hear how Neil approaches his practice and tournaments. And he's such a nice guy - justified confidence rather than arrogance.
Stephen Hendy is the GOAT , no one will ever change the sport like he did
Tee hee.
@@johnmc3862 why u giggling like a wee lassie 😂
I come here for Hendry and get other players as a Bonus. This is a great initiative.
You need to do this with every pro, fantastic insight to how they are. Brilliant video Stephen 👏🏻
i always support the underdog in any sports competition. I recall Hendry saying the opposite that he supports the favorite which took me back a bit. :-) Is that what makes a champion? I therefore expected an arrogant sort of bloke but the exact opposite. Modest even self effacing and still willing to learn from others. No longer that seemingly aloof win at all costs teenage champion but a pleasure to watch/listen to him interview the other champs. Thanks!
What a joy to watch something like that!
Stephen Neil two of the greatest players of all time 💯 facts
Hendry was about an inch away from the black spot at 29 minutes! Loved this!
These interviews are brilliant and what we’ve needed as fans for a longtime
Aside from being wonderful snooker players, Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis have something else in common. Perhaps because of their single-minded dedication to the game in their glory years, they came across as somewhat taciturn. Then when they got older they loosened up and became such engaging characters. It’s funny how that often happens in sport. Great channel.
can't believe what a great honor to learn and watch fromthe best
Snooker has been needing this channel
I’m quite a relaxed follower of snooker but enjoyed this very much. Thank you.
Quality video 100% Hendry is the man from my county in Scotland Quality bloke met him as a kid at undisclosed golf course in perthshire humble very nice man. True ambassador for the sport great champion great commentator😎👍🏴🏴
Great banter, as an expat living in Barcelona and having watched snooker from being a kid, It really ia a breath of fresh air watching this, absolutely epic!
I'm liking this channel. Very good, Stephen (from an old Canadian snooker player.)
Stephen and John Virgo are commentary legends together, Stephens experience and John's "commentators eye" are the best pairing on TV......
Virgo is totally overrated as a commentator.
@@johnmc3862 I'll admit he's getting on a bit now, but when the players hear and see the audience laughing out of context, they know old JV is on the mic.....
Great partnership
Best cue sports channel on UA-cam.
Fine humility shown here by the great Scot champ.
This channel is fantastic. There are obviously loads of professionals that I'd like to see on here, but my request would be to interview & play the guy from the 'break from life' channel. He's not a pro & might be a bit of a mystery man, but he's made some great videos and I'd be really interested to hear his story.
Great channel Stephen. There's still an aura in the room when you step back and step into your shot. I think your media work is really classy too, great relaxed style, perfect delivery, great stuff, I'm really enjoying your channel. I like Ronnie, but for me, your domination in the 90s is unparalleled in the sport, many thanks for the brilliant entertainment.
Another great watch. Thank you to Steven and the team! I really would like to see more of these with the top players but also with some of the younger players coming through too. Absolutely brilliant stuff!
Love this thanks Stephen and team!
Started watching your first video, hoping to improve my game. You’re videos so far are brilliant. A great insight into snooker and the players. Can’t wait to see more. From a Brit living in Australia
Love this format of interviewing!!! Mark Williams, now Neil Robertson. It's a pleasure to watch.
I have seen 3 of these now, really enjoyable. Great idea, bravo, keep them coming.
Absolutely loving these videos! Really great video! Brilliant to see different angles when you guys are down on the shot, helping me with stance!
Amazing work, truly amazing...❤ love to see players on their practice table. please include questions about players equipments i.e. their cues (cue tip size, cue manufacturers, cue weight and size etc), whats kind of chalks do they use or prefer.
its really awesome, wonderful and lucky for us to know more about our favorite players and their snooker life on this platform.
Excellent content.Reminds me of when I was a little kid sitting in the pool room listening to the adults talk and play snooker. except you guys know what you're talking about. You signed my cue when you and Jimmy White visited Toronto back before the pandemic. Still have to show it to the guys I play with.
Lucky enough to have watched Neil practise with his dad Ian at Cuesports in Knox city in Melbourne (was an interesting place I’m sure people who went there back in the day would know). Ian also nice enough to give me some coaching there when I was hanging around meant to be in school. Got a cheeky game of pool with Neil when his dad went to get lunch sometimes
Brilliant channel, so simple but well done and just what snooker needs in my opinion, a glimpse behind the curtain of virtuosity.
This was so watchable, I just watched all of it without thinking, thank you for this!
This is great for us overseas folks who only discovered snooker the last few years. It really helps us get to know the players
I’m loving these vids, so refreshing to hear interviews like this rather than the post game punditry interviews. Well done Stephen !
great watching and listening to the banter. two great fellas that don't mind sharing their talents.
My two favourite players of All time.!
Sharing their views and enjoying a yarn.
Awesome video.
Thank you Stephen.
I'd avoided these videos for a while, for no particular reason other than I suspected they'd not be particularly interesting. This is the fourth one now that I've watched over the last two days - very much more interesting than I'd imagined, and it's nice to get some insight into the players away from their professional environment. I've no doubt I shall be watching more, thanks for setting this series up.
Snooker YT done right 👍Keep up the good work Stephen
Huge fan of this new channel. Looking forward to future content! I really hope Hendry visits Higgins, Maguire, Dott and McGill at their small private club
Great content! A real look at the work that goes in behind the events.
Did anyone notice Neil pots the blue at 20:45.. gets into his chat.. then pots the black at 24:24 without potting the red, and neither of them notice :).. They really enjoyed their chat lol
Ya I just noticed that lol
Love these videos. Thanks for the vision and content. Really helpful to gain the perspective from the worlds best.
Great questions. Really entertaining watch.
Been watching most of your videos, Stephen. Really enjoying the content! Love your laid back style. Interview with Neil was great!
I was made aware of your channel by ‘Break From Life,’ which is one of my absolute favorite channels. Would be great to see you do some content with him. Could be challenges, trick shots or whatever, as long as it’s related to snooker. Would love to see that kind of collaboration
Just want to say thanks to both Neil and Stephen for the video. It was really insightful to hear Neil's take on solo Vs friendly matches.
I love it, I add it to my favorites videos collection, thanx Stephen. I was waiting it for a long time❤️❤️❤️
Very enjoyable to see you guys talking and playing.
please do more of these, love it !!
Hi Stephen you are doing a great job. I really like your channel. I love to see when you interview ronnie o'sullivan. Please do it as early as possible.
Love these videos mate, keep em coming Stephen and 👍
Robertson’s hard work is exceptional ❤
Great content Champ! please keep doing more episodes of this series
I love the way Stephen get so much good chat out of the players, they seem very relaxed with him and it makes for brilliant interviews. You just don't see snookers players in this way. Great channel
A wonderful talk. Can't wait to see next conversation 😍
Loving these videos! Excellent to hear more about todays crop of top player’s straight from their own mouths in such a casual way. Brilliant way to see more of their personality over a couple of frames, having a chat with one of snookers all time greats. Long may these continue 🤙🏼
Luv 'em too!!
Loving these podcast style videos while playing a few frames, snooker needs more of this time of thing!
Great videos seeing pros perspective into the game that isn't the typically TV interview.
I think this is in terms of learning the minds of greatest, helps a lot. Content of this sort is really appreciated. And the way Stephen has an insight and wanting an insight from other players very much helpful.
Stephen, you will have to line up John Higgins and Ronnie O'Sullivan, and also do Jimmy White and the Nugget. Cheers from Australia, loving your channel.
Amazing interview, this gets into the nuts and bolts behind the tournaments so well. Fantastic stuff
Love these videos, absolutely quality content Stephen! Great production value
Thanks Stephen another great chat with Neil Robertson love it!
Thank you for these great interviews.
HI, from Brazil Hendry, I´m your fan!!!!
Wonderful to see a bit of snooker banter and looking forward to future guests. Relaxed vibe and even longer if players could handle that. Great guest would be ebdon for the psychology, get the older greats on first like Jimmy and Steve whilst they're still mobile!
Loved this. Honestly didn't feel like it was over 30 minutes long.
Its really beautiful the camaraderie between each of all your quests. Keep the great work up mate. Being a great fan of snooker, i love it.
Great content as always. Can we please have Jimmy White on soon 👍
Absolutely loving this channel being yourself and you and Ronnie really got me interested in snooker and now watching this channel makes me want to get down the club again 👍🏻
Great channel. Amazing to hear real interviews with pros for a change
These are so interesting love the content! More please!!!
Cant get enough of these brilliant videos, keep up the great work stephen cant wait for the next one
Brilliant. I hope Stephen interviews all the players. It shows a different side to them and it's interesting how they approach their game.
