Woke up this morning with a plan in my mind,
Gonna mill my own lumber, gonna work that grind.
Got my chainsaw roaring, and my mill set up right,
Turning logs into lumber, by the morning light.
Milling my own lumber, it's a labor of love,
From the forest to the workshop, it's like hand in glove.
Every cut and every plank, tells a story so true,
Milling my own lumber, it's what I love to do.

that 8-1/2" throat makes a huge difference especially when cutting 8x8 posts out of a big log.

We cut three 8x8s with the new mill … it needs a power feed or a manual crank … either way it’s a very nice mill for the cost.

@mcsawmill I did… kind of. Haven’t finished editing it … we were moving fast so some of the footage isn’t great.
No idea how you guys can keep up with the great content and still get work done.

@mcsawmill I’m going to get back on a schedule of filming after this weekend.
Electrical and plumbing will be done so my time on the weekends will be freed up

Kohler small engines are mostly built in China and parts manufactured in Japan, as per their website. It’s the larger engines that are made in America. Just wanted to correct you on that. Other than that bit, nice review!

Thanks for clearing that up… as I’ve come to find out majority of their products are built in china. Disappointing but nothing is going to change.

@@ProfessionalHomeowner absolutely, it is highly disappointing, even many of the engines I worked on while active duty have Chinese ties, along with parts and such.

It's certainly a good value priced mill. I just hope you have a piece of equipment to load any good sized logs onto the mill. Green logs (hardwood or softwood) are very heavy.

You’re absolutely correct. We have skid loaders and excavator to load large logs. The unit comes with ramps as an option if you don’t have a machine…. Loading with the ramps and winch takes a long time!

Ravi, Ravi, Ravi...........don't you like orange any more? Even though the mill is the wrong color it was a good video.

I apologize Professor… orange is and always will be my favorite color… however, green is soothing and a very good fall back …. Color that is.
Have really enjoyed your last few educational videos… they are fantastic and very informative
